@Hummusanddipdip thank you so much! I've been trying for a couple of days to talk myself out of feeling like this and just thought it'd be easier to just ask and get another opinion to help ease my brain! Thank you so much โค๏ธ

Mummyme87 · 20/07/2023 21:26

With my first I didnโ€™t feel movement until about 21weeks and second time about 19weeks.

got my first GTT tomorrow ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜ญ

sashastuck · 20/07/2023 21:35

@FirstT1meMum my boobs havenโ€™t changed either! DP thinks nipples are darker but Iโ€™ve barely noticed. Also when I wake up my belly looks pretty normal, it just expands and hardens throughout the day. Think what youโ€™re describing is completely normal for first babies! X

sashastuck · 20/07/2023 21:36

@Mummyme87 Good luck for tomorrow - do you get results straight away or is it not like that?

FirstT1meMum · 20/07/2023 21:46

Thank you so much @sashastuck @Mummyme87 felt like I could physically feel the relief wash over me! โค๏ธ

@Mummyme87 hope all goes well tomorrow! โค๏ธ

Mummyme87 · 21/07/2023 04:45

@sashastuck no results probably Monday I think but Iโ€™m working Saturday so will have a look myself then.

Iโ€™ve got insomnia. Been awake for nearly an hour ๐Ÿ˜

EL27 · 21/07/2023 07:02

Has anyone else for the belly line?! (Linea nigra is the technical word I think lol) woke up today (16 weeks today) rubbed oil on my belly as I have started doing regularly and noticed the line on my stomach. Crazy it's just appeared over night, it's not really dark but definitely noticeable!

EL27 · 21/07/2023 07:03

*got the not for the
It's too early to spell ๐Ÿ˜…

Onedayatatime24 · 21/07/2023 07:28

@FirstT1meMum same here! Also overweight so same boat as you on the bump front. No changes to boobs at all (they weren't even sore), I look bloated by the end of the day like I've had a huge dinner but that's it. I think I'm starting to round out ever so slightly at the top of my stomach but DH says I look the same so I may be imagining things ๐Ÿ˜‚ only thing that makes me feel pregnant is I'm still falling asleep by 8pm! I'm 15 weeks on Sunday.

Also have two random questions if anyone can help ..

  1. I ate a takeaway pepperoni pizza last night without even thinking. Google says I should be fine because the pepperoni was cooked - does anyone know the risks of toxoplasmosis/listeria from this? Should I ask to be tested or worrying about nothing?
  1. For those who have had colds - did it take a while for yours to go? I felt better after about 5 days but still full of snot/chesty cough nearly 2 weeks after I first got the cold. Is this normal??

I think my hormones have kicked in this week as well, very anxious and crying over anything!!

FirstT1meMum · 21/07/2023 07:42

@Onedayatatime24 I also keep thinking I'm like hardening (if that's the right word) under my boobs but DH says it's in my head ๐Ÿคฃ

I'm sure the midwife said cooked pepperoni/chorizo ect is fine, it's more when it's on like a charcuterie board I think!

My cold lasted a good week and fluctuated terribly! One day I would feel like I was better then it'd hit me like a bus later in the day and would wipe me out! Think it's normal for them to linger as immune systems are low and we're limited in what we can take! X

suz2285 · 21/07/2023 07:56

@Onedayatatime24 pizza is fine @FirstT1meMum is right they're usually talking about uncooked cured meats, like on a platter or something but I'm sure Italians and Americans eat them all the time and are fine, don't worry about it! Also I love a pepperoni pizza ๐Ÿ˜‚ yum!

Onedayatatime24 · 21/07/2023 09:28

@FirstT1meMum yes hardening definitely! And my jeans are now uncomfortably tight by lunch time so something must've changed a bit ๐Ÿ˜‚ I'm the same with this cold! Feel like it's finally going then the next day I'm back to being a snot bag.

@suz2285 ahh I guessed I'd be worrying about nothing but Google does throw you through a loop sometimes! I could google about cramp in my little toe and it'd still probably say I'm dying ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ

ThomasinaLivesHere · 21/07/2023 09:50

Iโ€™d stick to the NHS when looking up which foods to avoid. Google can give you results from other countries where food standards are different and also just incorrect or out of date info.

suz2285 · 21/07/2023 09:52

@Onedayatatime24 oh don't worry, we all do that, i spent most of yest googling about this quad test and it does not help!

lilluce95 · 21/07/2023 11:19

I've been using the 1 second every day app to track my bump as I also don't feel like I've seen any change - however watching some of the clips back I can definitely see that my tummy has got a lot rounder! Great app for those who like videos/memories too ๐Ÿ˜Š x

I used this app for the first year of my DDโ€™s life. Was lovely seeing how they change.

had my 16 week appointment today, heard the heartbeat! Found it relatively quickly which is good cause I find it so tense waiting! All good bar my blood pressure which is low but I always have low blood pressure. I felt so poorly with it in the third trimester with my first so canโ€™t wait to have that again ๐Ÿ™„ also got my omeprazole as heartburn is already getting bad.

Mummyme87 · 21/07/2023 11:33

Almost finished having my two hour wait at GTT. Thank god itโ€™s nearly done as spent the last 40th a trying to stop myself from being sick

Kalodin · 21/07/2023 11:45

Well done for powering through @Mummyme87 And GL with the results!

Is there any concern with the low blood pressure @buckingmad ? Lovely you heard baby's HB

I had to change my outfit before I left for work today as spotted the trousers highlight my bump! Hiding in Leggings and a very baggy top instead. No idea how I'm hiding this until my 20wk scan when I'm only 12wks now.

Due January Part 4! ๐ŸŽ‰
buckingmad · 21/07/2023 11:55

@Kalodin only that Iโ€™m more likely to faint and obvs potentially hurt myself/bump. I found last time around I couldnโ€™t let myself get the tiniest bit hungry or thirsty or Iโ€™d get really dizzy/sick and teary. Then after I gave birth they werenโ€™t happy with my blood pressure but eventually believed me when I said it was usual for me to have such a low reading and let me go home. Iโ€™d still be there now if they waited for it to be normal ๐Ÿ˜‚ my BP today was 90/56 ๐Ÿ˜‚

Kalodin · 21/07/2023 12:29

Dont think there's an "only" about that @buckingmad - hopefully no fainting ๐Ÿคž

lilluce95 · 21/07/2023 12:53

@buckingmad what a lovely idea! Bet it's really nice to look back on. Great news about hearing the heartbeat too, I can't wait for my appointment x

lilluce95 · 21/07/2023 12:54

@Kalodin you have a lovely little bump! ๐Ÿ˜

suz2285 · 21/07/2023 13:04

@buckingmad Ooft that is low! I have that white coat hypertension so when I go to the docs it shoots up but if I do it at home it's fine! I'm feeling super dizzy the last week or so apparently trimester 2 is the lowest your bp is during the pregnancy so I'm thinking mine has gone a bit low now, not due to see the midwife for a few weeks now so I'm sure she'll check it again then ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Matildahoney · 21/07/2023 13:29

@Kalodin aww you're tiny! You don't look pregnant to me, but then I don't know what you looked like before. I'm huge at 16 weeks! Luckily I told work early on, but not been able to hide it since I was about 11 weeks!

Matildahoney · 21/07/2023 13:30

This was me yesterday!!
