16week appt is going through booking blood results, nuchal scan results, BP/Pulse, urine, trust depending.. book AN classes, answer questions and trust dependent listen to babyโ€™s HB.

my 16wk appt isnโ€™t until 2nd week of august Iโ€™ll be 17+4. Iโ€™ve got a consultant apt booked for a weeks time but think Iโ€™ll push it back a bit. Iโ€™ll have the kids with me as itโ€™s school holidays and Iโ€™m on annual leave that week, so donโ€™t fancy traipsing in for it

sashastuck · 16/07/2023 08:23

Iโ€™m very excited for the 16 week appt but Iโ€™m going to be 18+5! Desperate to hear babyโ€™s heartbeat again.

Iโ€™m lying in bed and I just felt an odd sensationโ€ฆ felt like 2 seconds of a flurry of fluttering/vibrations on the side. Obviously
immediately googled โ€˜can you feel baby at 15 weeksโ€™ but Iโ€™m not convinced! Does this sensation feel familiar to anyone?

Kalodin · 16/07/2023 08:40

All I can say is I'm sure felt all mine at around 15-16 weeks @sashastuck As an odd fluttering fizzing feeling in one area

EL27 · 16/07/2023 08:43

Yes! I'm 15+3 and felt this yesterday, and this morning! Im not exactly sure if it is baby as this is my first pregnancy so I don't know exactly how it feels. But I hope it is I know it's common for first time mums to feel first movement 16-20 weeks, so we are close it's possible!

I did with my first. With this one I think Iโ€™ve felt flutterings the last couple of weeks. Itโ€™s always when Iโ€™m in a certain position.

MrsJ6921 · 16/07/2023 08:53

Iโ€™ve also felt this and Iโ€™m 15+2!

And me at 15+2!

sashastuck · 16/07/2023 09:02

Oh wow! So it could be baby! ๐Ÿฅบ going by the scan I had last weekend Iโ€™d actually be 16 weeks today so I guess itโ€™s very possibleโ€ฆ I also read today that by 15-16 weeks baby can hear your voice ๐Ÿ˜

Nellynoo182 · 16/07/2023 09:38

Hey guys hope everyoneโ€™s getting on good! We have my DSโ€™s christening on Sunday and I still havenโ€™t found anything nice to wear with my bump (that feels humongous this time round!) anyone bought some nice preggo friendly dresses recently they could recommend? Xx

Matildahoney · 16/07/2023 09:44

@Nellynoo182 what's your usual style? New Look have some nice maternity dresses in the sale, ASOS or boohoo are pretty good, depending how much you want to spend club l London have some gorgeous dresses.

sashastuck · 16/07/2023 09:50

@Nellynoo182 I bought this from Asos and love it - wore it yesterday with a cropped vest underneath as itโ€™s quite booby. I think they also do a longer version in a khaki colour :) itโ€™s really flowy and not clingy. You can see bump in it but very comfy!

Mushroo · 16/07/2023 11:29

@Nellynoo182 i also recommend nobodyโ€™s child. They recently had a sale on and I bought a few dresses and theyโ€™re good quality and fit well.

Mummyme87 · 16/07/2023 11:38

On the train back to London following my sisters hen do. Had a lovely time and felt well yesterday which was great. Glad itโ€™s done now as Iโ€™m exhausted. Can relax about it now as was very stressed.
new stress is trying to get Taylor swift tickets tomorrow. Iโ€™ve got an access code for Wembley ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

Hummusanddipdip · 16/07/2023 12:25

@Nellynoo182 I know there are ethical concerns, but I've bought a couple of dresses from shein.

How was the weekend @Mummyme87 and good luck with the TS tickets, I've given up hope of ever obtaining some ๐Ÿคฃ

I've done 3 loads of washing today, a garden dash to get it all back in and on airers as it started raining, it's not let up for an hour here! But the sky is clear blue bar the clouds above our house ๐Ÿ™„ I've been up since 8 with ds and am now laying on my bed hiding from him and dh for a 10 minute silent break, I'm shattered!!!!

Mummyme87 · 16/07/2023 15:07

@Hummusanddipdip yeah good weekend but Iโ€™m broken now. Actually crying on the train from Victoria to my house.
mom praying for TS tickets. I have one code and two chances

lucya66 · 16/07/2023 15:48

I went for a private gender scan today as I am 16w1d. I booked it spontaneously a couple of days ago, as I didnโ€™t know you could go on a Sunday so was surprised when I saw they had slots and booked in!

The scan went so well and baba looking all good. Measuring right on time.

We asked the sonographer not to reveal the gender to us in the room, and asked them to write it on a card so we could do our own reveal between us. They still showed me little baba on the screen, moving about and raising their arms. Also got a great 4d image of their little face!

Clinic gave us a secret envelope with the gender inside. Me and OH went to a nearby park and my OH read the card first and told me the gender of our child. Itโ€™s a GIRL!!

it was so special to have my OH tell me we are having a daughter together.

Over the moon happy. All that sickness was worth it xx

RG9895 · 16/07/2023 15:55

@lucya66 aww thats lovely!! Congratulations!!! This makes me so excited for mine ๐Ÿฅน 10 days to go!

FirstT1meMum · 16/07/2023 16:20

@lucya66 amazing news! I'm over the moon for you!! And the way you found out sounds simply magical ๐Ÿ˜ So excited for ours now - 9 days to go! You've inspired me to have a conversation with DH about how we want to find out so thank you โค๏ธ

Again, congratulations on your incredible news ๐Ÿฉท๐Ÿฉท

Kalodin · 16/07/2023 16:45

Oh don't start on the TS tickets, I'm so gutted that none of my friendship group managed to get a code, just stuck on the "waiting list" ... but let's face it, it's never going to get down to that list!

Congratulations @lucya66 What a lovely way to reveal to each other too!

Still so nervous about when to tell everyone! We have our Dating Scan on Wednesday. I wanted to tell my family at my Mum's birthday BBQ the following weekend but DH reckons I can't share that news then as it will be unfair on my Mum. But our kids know, and they'll so slip up I'm sure.

Matildahoney · 16/07/2023 16:48

@Kalodin speak to your mum if she knows. I told my SIL before her hen as I didn't want to steal her thunder, she announced to everyone else at her hen (as she knew we had gone public our friends) I didn't know her friends so she didn't really need to mention it, all I'm trying to say is she wasn't bothered about it being announced there.

suz2285 · 16/07/2023 17:08

@lucya66 that's exactly what we're doing, we're having ours two weeks on Sunday, we're going to get them to write it down cos we're going for another scan a couple of weeks after with my fam! But just incase we don't get a good pic or some thing the second time I want to make sure it's accurate ๐Ÿ˜‚ and then our nephew wants to do a gender reveal cannon for his family ๐Ÿ˜‚

Can't believe it's almost gender time!

Kalodin · 16/07/2023 17:15

My mum doesn't know yet either @Matildahoney And I won't get a chance to tell her in person before the BBQ either.

sashastuck · 16/07/2023 17:17

@lucya66 congratulations! How wonderful ๐Ÿ˜ 9 days to go for mine too!

@Kalodin my mum (all of my side of the family) doesnโ€™t know yet either! Telling them when we visit them on the 23rd.
