Good luck today to everyone with scans, hope they all go well.

We had our scan and bloods for the private NIPT Friday night, baby was waving away at us which was lovely, measuring 11 weeks. Should get the results and gender confirmation end of this week / early next week!

I don’t have my NHS scan until I’m 13 weeks so was nice to see baby in the meantime.

Good luck to you all having scans today!! Xx

Panapan · 26/06/2023 11:06

@Vikki7 that’s so sweet. We told our children a couple of weeks ago and my 6 year old has been praying for the baby. Children can be so amazing sometimes!!

@buckingmad i hope your daughter was ok this morning and that your scan has gone well.

My scan went well - all looking good and given a due date of 2 January. 😊

Panapan · 26/06/2023 11:09

I haven’t looked at any of these nub/skull theories that people have talked about. Not sure we’ll find out but here’s my scan for those who like to guess!!

Scan all good. I burst into tears and couldn’t stop the entire scan. I don’t think I’d realised just how anxious and convinced something was wrong I was feeling after my miscarriage. Sonographer was lovely and DH managed to make it in the end.

baby would not stop wriggling so measurements were quite hard to take but new due of 9th Jan.

looks very similar to my daughter’s 12 week scan so I’m leaning towards girl. But then how wriggly and stubborn they were is making me think boy just like her father!

@buckingmad I’m 99% sure that’s a girly scan!!!

So glad scans have gone well today. What a relief😍

suz2285 · 26/06/2023 12:21

@Panapan @buckingmad yey for great scans!

Did they tell you the NT measurement at the scan?

I called to see if I could move mine by a few hours due to a work meeting but they said there's no appointments after mine for over a week so def need to just go when I'm going 😂 hopefully baby is cooperative!!

Lilothblos · 26/06/2023 12:33

@Panapan @buckingmad I’m absolutely no expert but I would guess girl for both!

OP posts:
buckingmad · 26/06/2023 12:47

@suz2285 yes you can see on the screen plus they also write it down on your form for blood taking if you’re having the triple screening. Mine was 1.3mm which I think from memory is very similar result to my daughter. I’m 29 so hopefully will come back low risk.

Im leaning towards girl just because my symptoms have been so similar plus the head shape is very similar to my daughters scan. Time will tell! 20 week scan is end of august which I’m going to try and hold out for, I went private at 16 weeks with our first.

Kalodin · 26/06/2023 12:49

What lovely scans!

Vikki7 · 26/06/2023 12:52

Scan went perfectly! I didn't have nuchal measurements taken as had NIPT but I did have the sonographer tell me it's lovely and thin and she has no concerns. Little boy is a right wiggler! Tried to see and measure hands then he started clapping 😂 another mischievous little one on the way! Measuring at 13w+0 so new due date is 01/01/24! What a way to start the year!

Mushroo · 26/06/2023 12:55

Also just in case anyone gets similar and is worried, my NT measurement was 2.2mm and although well below the 3.5mm cut off, I started stressing as it was something like the 90th percentile when compared to length of baby.

Anyway all turned out completely fine, but if you get a slightly higher NT (most people seem to get 1. something, don’t worry).

suz2285 · 26/06/2023 13:07

@buckingmad @Mushroo very helpful thanks, can you tell I'm into the next stressing about the NT now 😂😂 just want to relax a bit!

ThomasinaLivesHere · 26/06/2023 13:20

@Panapan @buckingmad i’m guessing girl too.

I’m having a clear out today as I’m off work. I’m wondering what to do with all the ovulation tests I have. I bought a box of 100 and have about half left. I thought about trying to sell them but lots of sites don’t allow such things. I’d be fine giving them away but don’t really know anyone trying at moment. Feels a waste to just bin them. It’s our last baby so no point keeping them.

TunnocksTCake · 26/06/2023 13:33

Hello All! Havent been on here for ages first due to issues with the app and then went on holiday for 2 weeks and spent the entire time trying to stop DD from jumping in the pool on her own!
Luckily the holiday wasfairly well timed over 9 - 11 weeks and now on the countdown to my 12 week scan on Saturday. Im huge already and struggling to hide it at work. Also exhausted but all other symptoms have completely gone so hoping all is ok!

So happy to see some excellent scan results :)

suz2285 · 26/06/2023 13:51

Anyone else's emotions all over the place? I dunno if I've had a hormone surge but I cannot stop crying! Started yesterday and continuing today

Thank god im working from home today, though 'working' is a loose term tbh! Im feeling tired and so emotional 🙈 I hope it's better tomorrow cos I've got to be in the office lol

Bims2019 · 26/06/2023 13:58

Hi all, I posted on the Facebook group yesterday but had my 12 week scan on Friday and all was looking good! My NT measurement was written on the report, 1.8mm so just waiting for the combined test results now. Scan pic attached for anyone who likes to guess, we've have a feeling it's a girl up until now for no particular reason.

Are many people planning to find out the gender? I always thought I'd want a surprise but now I'm not so sure!

Congrats to everyone else who's had scans, so exciting to see them all coming through 😍

Hi everyone, my 12 week scan this morning went well. We have a little wriggler who is measuring 2 days ahead of what we thought and is now due 5th January. Sonographer had no concerns over the fluid as she deemed this average and that’s what they like.

I was so overwhelmed before my appointment however relieved to see how much they’ve changed since we last saw them at 6+6.

ThomasinaLivesHere · 26/06/2023 14:10

@suz2285 I am a bit emotional. Although I had to spend some time with relatives I don’t get on with and that put me in a bad mood but it did last longer than usual so maybe a hormone thing.

@Bims2019 We’re planning on finding out. We were patient with the first pregnancy and held back finding out until birth. This one we’ll give in and find out 😂

ThomasinaLivesHere · 26/06/2023 14:10

Good to see all the positive scan stories! 🤩

Bims2019 · 26/06/2023 14:23

@ThomasinaLivesHere I can completely understand giving in, not sure I'll be able to be as patient as you were the first time but at least we have a few weeks to decide 😂

Gremlin84 · 26/06/2023 14:27

@suz2285 yes, all of a sudden last night I had massive mood swings - went from giggling to suddenly bursting into tears for literally no reason. And today my dad talking about my grandad giving up smoking when he found out about me set me off. I think it's partly hormones and partly being hot and bothered and tired. I always get more emotional when tired anyway.

sashastuck · 26/06/2023 14:42

@Bims2019 I reckon that looks like a little boy!

@suz2285 yes - cried all day Saturday, have been arguing with DP, everything was wrong. Then woke up yesterday 1000x better! Hope it continues!

I love love love seeing all these scans. Mine is on Wednesday. SO excited!!!

@ThomasinaLivesHere same regarding the ovulation sticks. Gonna keep them for maybe 6 months in case a friend starts trying I guess then bin!

LondonNQT · 26/06/2023 15:15

Ten weeks here and I’m so earth shatteringly tired I’m struggling to function.

Non-work days involve running around after a toddler and I’m a teacher, so no chance to sit down then either.

Please tell me it gets better? I went back to the gym in the second trimester last time, which is impossible to imagine now.

Feeling incredibly sorry for myself.

buckingmad · 26/06/2023 15:21

So many scans! So lovely to see all the good news.
