It's very early days but I suspect there are some new BFP's meaning we'd be due in February. I'm 4 weeks today so super early. Anyone with me? Has anyone got any early pregnancy symptoms?

@DmcinT that's a great way to look at it - I have a low hovering sort of optimism that it will work out ok, but I don't want to get my hopes up so I hurt less if it doesn't. I hope you have a fab holidays! That should take your mind off things. I've got a packed July, loads of events I'm working on and loads of social things too so hopefully that will fly by - just got to survive June 😂

MummyTo4BoysXXXX · 12/06/2023 16:45

👋 hi ladies can I join? currently 5 weeks pregnant and due date for me is 12th February according to the NHS(lmp) but by going by ovulation should be 14th February so I'm not sure lol x

Kiwiburgh · 12/06/2023 17:44

@DmcinT I'm 20th Feb, forgot that was a leap year!! 🙈 ds Is also a February baby. It must be our lucky month. 🍀

moosey89 · 12/06/2023 18:13

@MummyTo4BoysXXXX welcome! We're not far apart in due date. I take it from your username you have 4 boys? Will this be baby no.5? 😄xx

MummyTo4BoysXXXX · 12/06/2023 18:18

@moosey89 thanks for the warm welcome 😊 when is your due date?.. and I don't know, probably.. Well it wouldn't surprise me anyway! 🤣 xx

moosey89 · 12/06/2023 18:19

@MummyTo4BoysXXXX you're seriously outnumbered hey! 😂
My due date based on lmp is 11 Feb. Given I got a positive ovulation test on day 13 (so ovulation likely on day 14) it should be there or thereabouts :) xx

MummyTo4BoysXXXX · 12/06/2023 18:24

@moosey89 I am defiantly 🤣 is this your first pregnancy? xx

MummyTo4BoysXXXX · 12/06/2023 18:24

Definitely* I meant

moosey89 · 12/06/2023 18:26

@MummyTo4BoysXXXX second pregnancy, but first ended in missed miscarriage at 10+4, so I'm hoping and praying for a better outcome. xx

MummyTo4BoysXXXX · 12/06/2023 21:42

@moosey89 n'awww I totally understand where your coming from 💕 all we can do is hope that things will turn out for the best 🤞 we just have to take each day as it comes!.. x

Mangotango39 · 12/06/2023 22:27

@DmcinT yes the spotting scared me so much as I thought it couldn't be implantation anymore.

I left work in tears then by the time I was home it had stopped!! Felt like just a drama queen so I really need to work on my emotions 😁

SnowyNoey · 13/06/2023 06:33

I’m 6 weeks 3 days.
we think we have a early February baby here.

Had queasiness on and off every afternoon for a few days and today first real bout of sickness this morning. Incredibly painful boobs. Bloated.

3rd child. New partner. Excited but terrified too. My youngest is 8 and my oldest is 10!

Ch49091 · 13/06/2023 06:39

Hi, I was hoping I could jump on this thread too please? I'm 4 weeks today, just found out yesterday!
@SnowyNoey I'm in a similar position! My third child but my first 2 were from my previous marriage and they're 10 and 11 (11 and 12 this year!). I'm so nervous and scared and it feels like I'm doing this for the first time all over again!
How are you feeling with it all? When have you planned on telling your children?

SnowyNoey · 13/06/2023 07:01

@Ch49091 congratulations 😊! I haven’t told the children yet. I told their father last week so that he can be ready to talk to the kids after I’ve told them. I’m going to wait another couple of weeks until after my first midwife appointment. Not sure how the kids will take it, currently not living with partner so it’s going to be a multitude of changes for them as we are starting to look for a new home for all of us!

how are you feeling about it? Have you told your two yet either? It definitely is like starting again for the first time! You’d think we would know what to expect 😆

Mangotango39 · 13/06/2023 07:43

@SnowyNoey @Ch49091 welcome both - what lovely gaps! I bet they will love having a little sibling 😊

Hankthehonk · 13/06/2023 07:58

Nervously joining after getting a bfp this morning! I recognise some names from the conception threads, I'll read through this whole thread later to see all your stories.

I'm still very early so feels like I'm tempting fate even posting in the pregnancy section but I'm so excited and want to talk to other people at the same stage.

I have one dd who will be 3 next month, and I had a miscarriage at 8 weeks in mid March. Really hoping this is the rainbow baby to complete our family but I know I'll be anxious after the loss.

I didnt ovulate until cd38 so I know my due date will be around 26 Feb (I'm pretty certain of my ov date) but nhs will put me at 1 feb based on lmp. I forgot it was a leap year as well and I guess I'm theoretically in with a chance for a leap year baby!

Ch49091 · 13/06/2023 08:54

@SnowyNoey Thank you! And congrats to you too!
Ahh tbf kids are resilient to change and if they're a bit off about it at first, I'm sure they'll love the idea of a new sibling by the end of the 9 months! And with a shiny new home too? They'll be in a kids paradise! Lol
I'm probably going to tell mine around the 3 month mark I reckon, same time I'll tell everyone else. My eldest daughter is likely to not take it well. Ever since she's been going through her changes she's been really awkward and a bit of a nightmare and then has decided to stay with her dad for a few weeks so I'm really scared to tell her! My youngest is the total opposite and has been asking for a little sister so I'll be excited to tell her but don't want to do it too soon incase I have to give her bad news later on down the line 😞
Ahaha yeah my husband keeps saying "so how does it work? You should know!" And I have to keep explaining to him that my last child was a decade ago so everything is different now! I don't even know how the appointments go, or scans! Like do we still ring the gp like we used to and get referred to a midwife?

@Mangotango39 Thank you! And congrats to you too! Congrats to everyone on this thread! Looks like Feb is a busy month next year lol

@Hankthehonk Congratulations! I'm really sorry to hear about your loss 😞. Hopefully you have a beautiful happy and healthy baby in 9 months!

Mangotango39 · 13/06/2023 09:19

I went to my Dr again today and was telling her how anxious I am - she was so lovely and listened / understood me.
Sent me for my third hcg as I told her the previous rise really gave me comfort and she's calling tomorrow. Praying it's gone up correctly from Friday !!

Also have booked myself acupuncture Thursday - has anyone tried this? Hoping that helps the stress but also apparently can prevent miscarriage hmmm 🤔

moosey89 · 13/06/2023 09:21

@Hankthehonk welcome to the thread! There's a fair few of us here nervous after loss, so you're definitely not alone. My only other pregnancy was 4 years ago (now in a different relationship, but that's a different story for another day haha) and ended in missed miscarriage at 10+4, found out at a private scan.

I've got my second home HCG test coming today, so should get results on Thursday, praying to see those numbers rising like they should! Should get a date for my booking appointment this week too, as they said it would be within 7 working days of self referral.

Anyone else feeling tired all the time, but then struggling to sleep at night? I had the worst night last night, and I can't tell if it's a symptom or just my brain being in hyperdrive overthinking everything...

MummyTo4BoysXXXX · 13/06/2023 09:43

@moosey89 yes I'm feeling pretty exhausted by the end of day around 8pm but again don't know whether its because I have 4 other children to run around after? 🤣 or if it's the pregnancy itself.. I'm waking up in middle of night too for no reason 🤷‍♀️ you can get insomnia in pregnancy you know? I swear I had that with my last son, It was horrible!! x

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 13/06/2023 09:44

@moosey89 how did your home blood hcg check go? Was it easy? I'm thinking of getting the same.

@Mangotango39 yes I had it last time I was pregnant after a previous miscarriage to help it properly implant. I also asked for help with nausea etc, and I think it did help a bit. I felt better for a few days after the acupuncture anyway, and then it'd come back! I also had two induction sessions at around 36 weeks because I was being induced at 37, and I was already contracting when I went in and responded well to the induction even though I was quite early. So I don't know, but I feel like it helped me for various things!

moosey89 · 13/06/2023 09:47

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 it was a super simple finger prick test - took it on the Thursday (and posted before last post), and got the result Sunday morning. Got a second one arriving today so I can check the progression. I highly recommend them to people who are anxious, much more accurate than the digital clearblue date tests.

@MummyTo4BoysXXXX haha probably a combination of all things! Running around after 4 must be so tiring on its own. I am waking up feeling tired, and I know the current temperature isn't helping drowsiness either....

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 13/06/2023 09:49

@moosey89 okay! I think I'll give that a go. Thanks. Does it tell you about your results - if they're okay for the gestation etc? Or is it more dependant on the two separate results and the doubling?

MummyTo4BoysXXXX · 13/06/2023 09:49

@moosey89 I can agree on the weather its a horrible heat I'm.also waking up sweating too on a morning! Can't wait for some rain to help me cool down haha

moosey89 · 13/06/2023 09:53

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 they put the clinical standards for each week of early pregnancy so you can compare it, those numbers are huge brackets though so what really matters is the doubling, as long as you're in the bracket to start with. For example, 4 Weeks is 9.5 - 750, 5 Weeks is 217 - 7138!
So you could be at 218 and be fine at 4 weeks or 5 weeks, all depends on the baseline.
