Just started a previous thread where I mentioned we are going to start TTC towards the end of this year if things go to plan.

Really interested to know how old people were when they started trying to conceive? We are 25, 26 in February. Do you think this is young?

why would this be a TW?

Lcb123 · 30/05/2023 20:59

We started recently I’m 32, DH 36. I only have one friend who had a baby in their 20s

user6078472 · 30/05/2023 21:03

We were both 27

Yes, this? Complete with hazard emojis!

NewAnon · 30/05/2023 21:03
  1. Both of us.
NeverMindTryAgain · 30/05/2023 21:04

26 and then 28. Think 26 is not unusual.

namechange1986 · 30/05/2023 21:04

27

BigglyBee · 30/05/2023 21:04

I was 20. Baby finally born when I was 28.

GADDay · 30/05/2023 21:04

Very odd title. Was it a mistake?

Yerroblemom1923 · 30/05/2023 21:04
  1. Why the TW etc?
Sallyann98 · 30/05/2023 21:05

I posted something similar before and was told by several people I should’ve put trigger warning because some of the answers in the thread could cause upset to some people , that’s all

I’m a MN anomaly but I was 39 when TTC no 1 and 40 when I had the baby and 42 when TTC no2 and 43 when he or she gets here. Had no problems conceiving either time, am very lucky.

AlltheFs · 30/05/2023 21:05

40 and 45, conceived same year.
What is triggering about that?!

MyFaceIsAnAONB · 30/05/2023 21:06

I was 24, 25 when he was born. Dh 27.

I found I was basically the only one my age in the local area that age - or felt like it at least!! Everyone at baby groups was either younger or about 10 years older. So it was a bit awkward, I don’t know, seemed no one wanted to talk to me 😄 not my problem at all as I’ve always had friends of all ages.

Anyway. Basically to me, you’re bang in the middle of neither young nor old.

elliejjtiny · 30/05/2023 21:07

Started ttc aged 22. Ds1 born when I was 24.

CoralBells · 30/05/2023 21:07

31

bouncydog · 30/05/2023 21:08

32 took several years. We waited until financially stable.

Sallyann98 · 30/05/2023 21:09

I don’t mean to offend anyone, I only put trigger warning as I was told before on another thread I should’ve put a TW as some of the answers on the thread could’ve offended some people

Which other thread? You’re other thread about TTC had no such replies…

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 30/05/2023 21:13

Me - 37, DH - 32.
Conceived first cycle.
Same again 3 years later.

Izzie94x · 30/05/2023 21:13

25, and 30🤍
But things didn’t go quite to plan, we had male factor infertility which we didn’t find out till 2.5 years down the line. So I’m now 29 (just) and DH 34 and we’re 23 weeks with our IVF baby boy x

shakesbearded · 30/05/2023 21:15

Started trying at 33. I know very few people who had babies in their 20s but uni plus meeting someone then buying a place etc before trying pushed this back. 25/26 is a great age and if I'd have met my DH sooner and been financially secure at a younger age id have loved to have started sooner.

AnonKat · 30/05/2023 21:26

Been together 14 years and just trying at 32. Been trying for over a year.

Sometimes I wish we hadn't of waited. But it made financial sense.

We both have careers, a big house and married.

holaholiday · 30/05/2023 21:29

It’s pretty young for professional women these days but perhaps not so much if you’ve gone straight into work from school….most people leaving uni with debt these days aren’t settled by 25.

bryceQ · 30/05/2023 21:31

25 would have been too young for me I got pregnant at 28 and had my son the week of my 29th birthday. But by that point I had a good career and had loads of lovely time with my partner.
