Just started a previous thread where I mentioned we are going to start TTC towards the end of this year if things go to plan.

Really interested to know how old people were when they started trying to conceive? We are 25, 26 in February. Do you think this is young?

I am much healthier at 35 than 25. I don’t drink very much, run marathons, lift weights, eat really well… at 25 I was a heady mixture of joie de vive, academia, coke, amphetamines and rum.

Those are all artificial differences. Obviously the 25 year old you wasn't actively fit to raise kids, but you could have been had you stopped all those destructive behaviours and focused on your kids.

In our natural state, younger, funner parents are much more suitable for raising kids. Of course that's only if they want, and are willing to put in the work.

I think if you’re that decrepit at 35, you should see a medical professional.

Urgently.

Ha, just looked at the posting history of a certain MN member and they’re either deeply confused, a bloke or on a wind up.

@Tiddlypomtiddlypom

It's very sad, isn't it? For them I mean. What a pathetic life they must lead...

Tiddlypomtiddlypom hit a nerve did we?

Another spiteful response @Pidgythe2nd. Would you feel pleased if you had hit a nerve and I was struggling with fertility problems?

You’re projecting.
It’s not spiteful, it’s a valid question in response to your curt and rude remarks about my thoughts. I’m deducing from your wild party days and your amazing child, you have no regrets with your choices.
It seems from your posting history that you have trouble understanding anyone having a different point of view to you and immediately get your back up.

I don’t think you saying you lack sympathy for someone struggling with fertility for leaving it ‘too late’ in your eyes, because they wanted the career and the house first, is particularly pleasant, said in the immediate aftermath of explaining how you bore your three children with the greatest of ease. I’m sorry you find that ‘curt and rude’. I found you smug and somewhat ignorant, so I guess we’re even.

And if you want to really want to do a deep dive into my previous posts, have a little ganders at my posting about my fertility.
