Thought I'd start a new one as the old one is full!

I'm 37w exactly and definitely starting to feel more Braxton Hicks (they woke me up last night) but they don't seem to be getting more intense/frequent. Also a bit of lower back ache and general bump tenderness, plus I think I've lost a small bit of my mucus plug. Think this is probably normal at this stage and just my body gearing up for labour but am quite nervous as have a c section at 38+3 and hoping to last till then! Second pregnancy but last baby arrived at 36w so feels like uncharted territory!

How is everyone else feeling?

Congratulations 🥳 to all the babies born!! I am just catching up . @firsttimelondonmummy he is beautiful!! I am so glad your labour went really well.

Good luck to those that are feeling the labour twangs starting. I myself thought my contractions were Braxton hicks until I felt pressure and I remembered this is what happened last time .

I want to tag everyone and say a massive congratulations to those that have had their babies and I hope everyone is doing really well!

( I would tag everyone but I’m living of very little sleep and having 2 children is so hard especially with the age gap )

PurBal · 06/06/2023 06:44

Omg all the babies are so adorable. Congratulations!

@DrinkingAllTheGin hope all goes smoothly today.

@UGH1 loads of time, I went into spontaneous labour with DC1 at 40+1. Despite some false starts with this pregnancy I think it might be a repeat performance with DC2.

DrinkingAllTheGin · 06/06/2023 07:11

Thanks @PurBal. We are heading off to hospital very soon. Got my stocking on and about as ready as we can be.
Bloody starving already so hopefully I'm on the early list!

C1umsyGiraffe · 06/06/2023 07:13

Oh my goodness a lot has happened, just trying to catch up!

Congratulations to all the babies, I hope you're all doing well and they're are all so beautiful!

Im 37+5 today but no twinges or signs of anything so think it's going to be a long wait!

Ally1992 · 06/06/2023 07:27

Aww congratulations @firsttimelondonmummy and @Zaalfruit gorgeous babies! Xx

Ally1992 · 06/06/2023 07:31

@Zaalfruit you should be able to make an apt under your name at the gp until she is registered, I had to take my little one to the gp when he was 5 days old with nappy rash and they just made the apt under my name as he wasn’t registered yet. Unless it’s different forms different areas?

justbelieve · 06/06/2023 08:06

Congratulations @Zaalfruit @firsttimelondonmummy !! Amazing news and very happy for you both!

Hlc86 · 06/06/2023 08:38

@DrinkingAllTheGin good luck for today I will be thinking of you and hope all goes well.

@Zaalfruit oh what a gorgeous little girl 😍congratulations , you should be able to get her a doctors appointment through your own name, they will never not see a new born.

@firsttimelondonmummy oooh congratulations he's gorgeous and so glad the birth went as you wanted I'm so happy for you he's perfect

Babybaby66 · 06/06/2023 09:23

Congratulations on all the recent babies!! So exciting seeing them all.

@firsttimelondonmummy great to hear a positive induction story - hope you get all the care that you need.

@DrinkingAllTheGin good luck for today!! Exciting times

BobbySD345 · 06/06/2023 11:03

Huge Congratulations to @firsttimelondonmummy and @Zaalfruit on your gorgeous little ones 💙 💜

@firsttimelondonmummy I'm pleased it all went well for you as I know you were so anxious.

@DrinkingAllTheGin Good Luck !

@Zaalfruit We went through the sicky thing with our DS and its tricky because they're so tiny noone wants to diagnose. The runny nappies suggest potentially lactose intolerance but she's so tiny to know. Hope you manage to see someone and she improves xx

I just walked round Asda and genuinely felt like she was about to fall out of my foof. Sitting down for a bit now as I was so uncomfortable. Got home and have lost loads of mucus like atleast a tablespoon. Suppose gravity helps get things moving. I'm in a funny territory at the minute as the hicks are constant and often quite intense but my waters haven't gone and with DS1 I had the heavy hicks and pressure and then the waters went so I'm kind of waiting for that but maybe my waters won't go this time? I don't know whether to just wait for the hicks to become really painful and then call the unit? At the moment they're probably only 1 or 2 on scale of 10 every 10 mins.

Rlt8990 · 06/06/2023 11:03

Congratulations everyone ! I am now off work and playing the waiting game and trying not to analyse every single twinge....

AngelBlue12 · 06/06/2023 11:55

Congratulations on @Zaalfruit and @firsttimelondonmummy

Currently waiting for my 10:30 (lol🤦🏻‍♀️) anaesthetic assessment appointment

PurBal · 06/06/2023 12:31

@BobbySD345 good on you for heading around Asda. I want to do more walking but then I have a terrible nights sleep and a toddler and I don’t want to exhaust myself. Like you my waters went first with DC1 and contractions started at the same time, 39 hour labour. It was the middle of the night. I have been getting irregular uncomfortable but not painful hicks since Friday. I had few hours of very definite contractions that evening (mild but I’m certain that’s what they were). No mucus plug yet. DH is stressed (not entirely sure why) which isn’t helping.

PurBal · 06/06/2023 12:32

@AngelBlue12 hope you don’t have much longer to wait.

theblueflowers · 06/06/2023 12:57

I lost this thread and so much has happened!

Congratulations to all the beautiful babies being born. I still cannot believe we are at this end point!

BobbySD345 · 06/06/2023 13:12

@PurBal I don't know whether the more painful ones I had the other night were maybe the start and maybe I'm dilating slowly. It's impossible to know and I'm symptom watching like a mad woman. DH needed socks and DS needed night time pull ups so I had no choice but to brave Asda but it's a Supercentre and both things were opposite ends of the store 😅 Walking and movement is good though isn't it. I might walk up the road later as I did that the day before DS was born and it seemed to help as its uphill.

Kelvie103 · 06/06/2023 13:16

@firsttimelondonmummy congratulations on your gorgeous baby boy. Happy to hear you had a good experience and everything went well. Love the name too, I've never heard it before.

@Zaalfruit Congratulations too! She's beautiful and glad you're back home now. Sorry to hear she's having a few feeding troubles and hope you can get it sorted soon.

Good luck to everyone having their babies this week! It's only the 6th and its starting to feel like everyone has already given birth or about to!

I saw the consultant today and have been booked in for an induction on my due date (24th) due to the IVF. They said its a bit of a grey area but I know I'd worry about going overdue and already feeling alot happier having an end date set. Still feels a long way off though but I'm sure it will come round quickly. I was told baby is still really high up and no signs of anything happening at all so don't think he has much chance of coming early.

AngelBlue12 · 06/06/2023 14:42

@PurBal finally got seen at 12:20! It was a five min appointment as CS is just a backup plan if the ECV and managed induction doesn’t work. Really hope it does, will be getting booked in Friday for next week - so excited!

Hlc86 · 06/06/2023 16:43

@AngelBlue12 hope all goes well on Friday, is you baby still measuring big and still breech? Little monkey

AngelBlue12 · 06/06/2023 17:30

@Hlc86 yup! They should give me a date Friday for sometime next week as they don’t want me to go up to due date. She’s a little monkey and we can’t wait to have her join us!

Hi everyone, I’m joining this thread as I’m actually a May mama but baby is very late! I was due on the 30th May so I’m 41 weeks today. Hope baby comes before my induction date next Monday.

Has anyone tried the Miles Circuit and had success?

xxx

Welcome ! My first baby was born the morning of her planned induction date so fingers crossed for you. Never heard of miles circuit before but just had a look and might give it a go, interested to hear if anyone's had any success also

PurBal · 06/06/2023 18:04

@Hannah310523 googles Miles Circuit welcome 😀

Baby3herewego · 06/06/2023 20:52

Congratulations on all the beautiful babies ladies.

Emotionalmama · 06/06/2023 21:40

So I came in on Monday when my waters broke and was meant to go for section yesterday but they put it off until today. Ended up going into labour naturally (was definitely NOT the plan!!) and ended up getting section with healthy 7lb 4oz baby boy being born at 1.01pm. My heart feels so complete ❤️❤️❤️
