@Mummyme87 haha exactly the same as me, was worried cos I had a few days feeling ok ish, then yesterday felt a bit rough again... today I feel ok ish again... you can't win 😂 luckily it's just nausea for me, I hope it doesn't get any worse

I was enjoying enjoying my food again for a few days, but didn't manage most of my dinner again last night

Also my smell seems to have gone mental the last few days, the bin smells, I can smell all the plants, the rubber off truck tyres, all sorts 🙈😂

cossie13 · 09/06/2023 14:11

Is anyone else on baby number 3 or more? I'm feeling extremely stretched already and I'm only 8 weeks-ish. I'm pretty sure I was at least 5 months pregnant when I felt like this the previous 2 times! It's so uncomfortable I'm not going to lie

ThomasinaLivesHere · 09/06/2023 15:32

@stressshead I had about a week of browning bleeding/discharge in week 8. It stopped and haven’t had any since. I had a scan to check in week 9 and all looked ok.

sashastuck · 09/06/2023 15:37

Welcome @Canyougivemedirections !! Can’t wait for this to become a FB group.

@buckingmad glad your appointment went well, yay! I also had my booking in appointment today and it went really well. Met the midwife who said I’ll have her almost always which is great to know! I’m with the Maple team if that means anything to you @Mummyme87 !

@stressshead hope your bleeding is nothing to worry about and that you contacted your EPU if you were worried. Hugs xx

Got a big wedding on partner’s side of the family tomorrow. I’m sat on a table with a newborn mummy and someone who’s pregnant with twins. I just want to say “I’m pregnant too!!” and join in with the conversation 😂 it’s so hard to keep a secret so big!

@sashastuck @buckingmad
I also had my booking in appointment today! My midwife said I'd see her throughout my pregnancy but we'll see I guess (gave birth there in 2022 and saw different midwives each time).

I also did my bloods. I'm Rh-ve and with my daughter her ineutro results came back inconclusive so I had to have anti-D. Let's see what this little one is.

Either way, this feels much more real. Bring on my 1st trimester scan.

TrudyProud · 09/06/2023 16:15

@Firsttimerugbymum your boss/hr can only share private information including your pregnancy if there is a specific need eg to make appropriate arrangements for you.

Rest assured that if you haven't given your expressed consent they won't share (or at least you'll never know that they have shared) because if they do and you find out you could put a claim for some sort of discrimination or GDPR infringement - they won't want the hassle or potential payout

PartRadish · 09/06/2023 17:35

Had my booking in appointment this morning. The system hadn't linked the notes for any of my previous pregnancies (same trust and booking hospital 🤷🏼‍♀️) so it took a reeeeally long time.

Unsurprisingly I'm high risk (my first was IUGR and has a genetic disorder, second born at 32 weeks and third at 25 weeks) so I've had referrals for lots of different departments and should have an appointment in the preterm clinic just after my dating scan. Midwife was really lovely and bunged me a load of free Pregnacare on the way out 😂

I have another scan tomorrow morning at I think 8+0. My first scan baby was measuring a few days behind, too many days behind really because it would mean I tested positive at something impossible like 5dpo, so really hoping everything is okay and its caught up 🤞

Dannic2018 · 09/06/2023 17:54

Hi all hope you’re all well.
well my work haven’t been great and basically said that my contract from the end of the month will now be 13 hours instead of 16 and I can’t work from home anymore with my 2 year old even though I have for the last year and a half and no one has brought this up in my appraisals or monthly supervisions so it looks like I’m looking for another job. I am worried this extra stress and worry will have an affect on me and the baby 😢

FirstT1meMum · 09/06/2023 18:00

Had my dating scan appointment through today - 29th! So exciting but now I have a date I am suddenly so impatient as it seems so far away! 🙈🤣 Off out on a hen do tonight and feeling a bit worried about being able to hide it at dinner but will hopefully be able to pass it off as antibiotics as I won't see most of these again for a while! Providing I stay awake long enough to make it to dinner haha.

@Dannic2018 I'm so sorry this has happened! Do work know you're pregnant? Have they given any reasons for all these changes? You're quite protected once work know so would be worth looking into!

stressshead · 09/06/2023 18:45

@Lilothblos @Flossiepot @youaremysunshine03 @Redpanda21 @Mummyme87 @suz2285 @ThomasinaLivesHere @sashastuck
I hope I've not missed anyone of that replied to me this morning I'm sorry if I have.

Thank you so much to you all 💗 definitely felt the support 💗

So an update the bleeding soon changed from red to brown within an hour or so I contacted my midwife I haven't actually had my booking appointment but she had already made contact with me to make the appointment and I knew I have the same midwife that I have with my first.

She said that
it can be quite normal. As long as you have no pain and it's not "active" bleeding (so like on your period where is coming out onto a pad) it's usually just a normal pregnancy symptom. Keep an eye on it.

She also said that if I needed to speak to someone urgently to contact the maternity unit I'm under as phone always manned I'm pretty sure the EPAU is referral only in my area so guess I'd have to go through them to be referred anyhow if needed. At the moment I'm ok to keep an eye as it not happened again today.

Once again thank you all 💗 x

Mummyme87 · 09/06/2023 19:00

@sashastuck ah yes maple team, that’s one of the continuity teams. One of my good friends works in that team, they’re all lovely however. I’m intrigued as to who you have 😬

my booking is next Friday, and have a scan next Wednesday. I’m a high risk pregnancy as just don’t seem to do it very easily so will probably be referred to a bizillion people.

hayfever is going for it now so bought some loratidine as normally use fenofexadine but that’s not recommended in pregnancy

Cheeseycheeseycheesecheese · 09/06/2023 19:11

Oh @stressshead that sounds like what I had last week, it quickly went grey and snot like and was gone within 48 hours.

I'm pleased you sought advice and I hope you're feeling more confident, but like others have said, if you're concerned make contact, they're there to help and support :)

@Dannic2018 is that since you told them you're pregnant?

Have fun tonight @FirstT1meMum if people start saying anything I found the easiest thing to do was accept and alcoholic drink and nurse it, then if anyone asks say "I've still got one" they'll all forget quite fast.

I've got my booking in on Wednesday and guessing my scan will be first week or second of July as I'll be 12 weeks on the 6th.

I think I'm seeing the same midwife throughout as she's based at my Dr's surgery.

Has anyone got any experience of Hinchingbrooke or Peterborough hospitals as I'm bang between them so have the choice as to where I go?

Yes, I’m on number 4 and feeling huge and uncomfortable at only 10 weeks!

Mummyme87 · 09/06/2023 19:50

@cossie13 I’m on number 3, I’m overweight so difficult to say but feeling very bloated

Dannic2018 · 09/06/2023 20:11

@Cheeseycheeseycheesecheese They were trying to get extra 3 hours funding for me since April but the part of childcare problems has only been since I told them I was pregnant and I only told them because I was poorly with a water infection and had to be off work. I’ve been working from home with him for a year and he’s no bother, I only work from home in the holidays and a Monday and Friday, but so does everyone else! Do I have any rights when it’s a temporary contract ? Thanks

Cheeseycheeseycheesecheese · 09/06/2023 20:59

To be honest @Dannic2018 I haven't got a clue, a quick Google tells me that you've as much right as a permanent employee and they legally cannot treat you any different. This link has some pretty good info, I spoke to pregnant then screwed when I had ds as I was bullied by my ex employer, when they found out I was pregnant and was successfully pushed into going on mat leave 2 months early. They may be helpful to you too, just for an advisory service. I find it's helpful to look at what support you can get (it's why I'm here, so many well informed people frequent these forums)

@Ttcdcno1 id love that!

MimosasInFrance · 09/06/2023 23:09

@stressshead - I've had quite a lot of bleeding. Three bouts of heavy, bright red blood (once flooded my clothes and resulted in a trip to A&E convinced I was miscarrying) and some later episodes of brown spotting. All accompanied with painful cramps. Each time baby was fine - it's a subchorionic haematoma and from time to time it bleeds and hopefully my body will just deal with it.

It's terrifying and I still don't totally believe it's ok, but wanted you to know that it doesn't always have to mean the end of the bleeding becomes heavy either. Obviously get yourself checked by the EPU though 🤍

Would love a Facebook group too!

Vikki7 · 09/06/2023 23:11

I went to my scan today and thought the worst as the same evening I came back from the doctors, I had a big gush of brown/red fluid come out in the shower.

I swear this baby has 9 lives before they're even born! I was so shocked to see a happy baby with a healthy heartbeat.

My EDD has been pushed forward to 2nd Jan so I'm now at 10+3.

Still haven't got my swab back from testing the other day. Sonographer found a SCH under baby but after the gush I had, I was told there's only about a saucer plates worth of blood left.

I swear God is smiling on this little mischief baby! ❤️

Has anyone else had horrible pain around and above the belly button? Is this certainly epigastric pain rather than pregnancy related? I don't know what acid feels like as never had it but it's so severe, I have to breathe through it.

Baby number 3 and feel huge at 10+3. Already in maternity clothes. I didn't have a bump until 30+ weeks with my other pregnancies. I'm not ready to tell my kids yet but I'm not sure how much my 6 year old understands. I've told her Mama has a tummy ache and she said "yes, I can see it is swollen" but she hasn't figured it out yet :-)
