@PartRadish good luck with your scan xx

Mammaof02 · 30/05/2023 11:32

Hello can I join, I'm due end of jan, I'm 6 weeks on Friday, got a scan booked for 16th June as I had 2 miscarriages in a row back last year x

Lightningrain · 30/05/2023 11:36

@cossie13 I’ve had cramping on and off this past week or so (I’m 8w+3). I’ve noticed a little bit of spotting too.

It’s my first so I’ve got nothing to compare to but from what I’ve read cramping is fairly common in the first trimester.

FirstT1meMum · 30/05/2023 11:46

I'm 8 weeks today and still not really experiencing any symptoms, is this normal? I know my scan showed everything was okay but I just feel I should be feeling something? Am I overthinking everything? Had my booking appointment finally for next Wednesday so also feeling quite anxious about that too!

sashastuck · 30/05/2023 11:57

@FirstT1meMum I’m 8 weeks today as well and haven’t been feeling a whole lot. I will say since I’ve been on half term, I’m struggling to be on my feet for longer than 10 minutes before wanting to sit down again 😂 but no nausea yet. Got my scan at 2:30 so hopefully that puts my mind at ease! X

Onedayatatime24 · 30/05/2023 12:11

Hi, tentatively joining! Had light bleeding/spotting on and off for nearly two weeks. Scan today showed everything as it should be, measuring 6w+5 with heartbeat. So reassuring as been worried sick with the bleeding but they can't find any reason for it.

Also not had any symptoms really, other than tiredness and mood swings. So helpful to have these pages and it's really hard to know what to share with who this early on!!

Eirlys1986 · 30/05/2023 12:35

@Onedayatatime24 @Redpanda21 congratulations on your scans 😊
@sashastuck all the best for you scan at 2:30 👍🏻
I’m currently 6+1 I think but will be having a scan at 8+1 the day after we return from a holiday abroad. I toyed with idea of scanning before we left but decided if there was any uncertainty about heartbeat/viability early on requiring a repeat scan I didn’t want to be worrying about it on holiday

Jolly25 · 30/05/2023 12:38

Hello all!

I'm also tentatively joining in with you all. I'm exactly 8 weeks today and my due date is 9th of January. I've been having mild nausea on and off most days, some mornings with some gagging 🤢 other than that, it's been okay so far.

Haven't booked an early scan yet - tempted to wait it out till 12 weeks but I shall see.

Look forward to sharing this journey with you all!

suz2285 · 30/05/2023 13:20

@Redpanda21 and @Onedayatatime24 great news about the scans!
@FirstT1meMum totally normal to overthink everything I think we all do it to an extent about various different things! I wouldn't worry too much about the booking appointment, it just seems to be a long appointment with the midwife to give your full life and family history! 😂

@Jolly25 welcome!

Sambeaumont · 30/05/2023 13:21

I'm 6weeks 5days and feel like my symptoms have gone. Starting to panic. Anyone else had this? I have a scan on Thursday so I guess I'll find out then xx

Cheeseycheeseycheesecheese · 30/05/2023 13:33

@Sambeaumont I'm 6w5 today too. The only symptoms I've had are insomnia, tiredness and sore boobs (itchy nipples)

It's half term, so I didnt need to get up this morning, I didn't wake up at 2am (insomnia seems to have gone this weekend) and ds decided to sleep straight through last night (he usually gets in bed with me and dh at 4) not tired at all today and bar fleeting itches which could just be my bra. I have no symptoms now...

I remember being so sick with ds, I lost almost a stone before my booking in apt last time.

Sambeaumont · 30/05/2023 13:46

@Cheeseycheeseycheesecheese yes I have had the insomnia too. I felt my symptoms were quite strong for the first 2 weeks. I guess time will tell. Constant worry isn't it xx

ThomasinaLivesHere · 30/05/2023 13:46

@Sambeaumont I have had that and from others in thread it’s fairly common for symptoms to go.

I had my booking appointment today. I forgot how long they are. So many questions! I was in about a hour. Much prefer my midwife now compared to last time, so I’m happy.

Also, someone asked a while ago if it’s a shorter appointment if you’ve already had a child. For me they just went through all the questions again and also measured my height again. It was actually longer than my first birth as they went through my hospital notes for my first birth which were quite long as I was in hospital for about three days before labour started.

Sambeaumont · 30/05/2023 13:55

@ThomasinaLivesHere thank you so much. Find myself panicking about everything xx

Thank you, you'd think I'd know being my third and all but I feel like a first time mum as it's been so long! The nausea is getting me down now though and I do remember that from my first 2. Hoping it doesn't go on much longer!

suz2285 · 30/05/2023 14:55

@Sambeaumont i was feeling horrific last week week 5-6 but now i've hit 6 and a bit weeks i'm definitely not feeling as bad as I was. I'm just assuming that my body is adjusting to the increased hormones, its normal for symptoms to come and go, good luck for your scan!

Sambeaumont · 30/05/2023 14:59

@suz2285 thats exactly whats happened to me. Thank you. Hopefully all will go well xx

Redpanda21 · 30/05/2023 15:23

How did you get on @PartRadish and @sashastuck ? X

Same happened with me, felt a lot more pregnant and iffy weeks 4-6, now don't really feel pregs at all! Only constant I've had is waking up for a week in the night every night since I found out! Everything else has come and gone, tiredness, sore boobs, odd wave of sickness etc.

sashastuck · 30/05/2023 15:29

@Redpanda21 congratulations on your scan!

My scan went really well, I’m measuring 8+3, 3 days ahead! I can’t believe you can see little arms and legs already!

@PartRadish I’m thinking of you and hope your scan went better than you were expecting xx

Ahhh @sashastuck so cute!

ashhope24 · 30/05/2023 16:42

Hi All,

First time joining any thread on here. I am 5 weeks and 4 days according to my LMP. My due date is saying 26th Jan anyone else here around that date? This is my first pregnancy and i am so nervous. Symptoms so far have been emotional, tired, sore boobs, loss of appetite and slight nausea at some points during the day, slight cramping every now and again. I really want an early scan but part of me is saying wait until 12 weeks. Why has time slowed down.

ashhope24 · 30/05/2023 16:46

Heyy,

I think i am the same as you 6 weeks on friday!
