@LilmissCa just fighting my way out of a dreadful big myself; Dc we’re over it in 48 hours, me 7 days later and I’m feeling more normal but still avoiding dairy just in case.

LilmissCa · 29/05/2023 16:15

@Spareincoming
Oh my 7 days! Glad your starting to feel better now.
I may set some realistic expectations to the wedding I'm due to be at on Thursday.

Travellingislife · 29/05/2023 17:18

Has anyone felt a “ gush” of fluid coming out? I’d just been for a wee so I don’t think I wet myself. It soaked my underwear and seemed clear, I’m worried it might be my water leaking 🥹 It didn’t feel like normal discharge either.
I’ll try and phone my maternity day assessment unit and see what they say.

Mummypig23 · 29/05/2023 17:51

@Travellingislife I had this a few times when I was pregnant with my daughter. It was always wee I’m afraid! They can do a swab at the hospital and tell you if it’s amniotic fluid. If you put a pantyliner in you can see what colour it is which might give you a better idea.

Travellingislife · 29/05/2023 17:58

@Mummypig23 did it feel like you wee’d yourself? Or did it feel like a gush? I hope it’s wee!!
I had to go to the urgent care unit and now I’ll see if they will refer me.. I reckon it’ll take hours

Mummypig23 · 29/05/2023 18:00

It was definitely gushy enough to spook me and send me to the hospital. Certainly wasn’t obvious that I was just wetting myself as I walked! The joys of pregnancy. Hope you get on ok and get some answers soon.

MeganC104 · 29/05/2023 18:14

@Travellingislife I had it in the shower yesterday and a hundred percent sure it was wee. I'd drank a lot of water that morning and your pelvic floor weakens loads in pregnancy so you don't always realise you need a wee. I'm pretty sure it happened a few times in first pregnancy too. Hope everything is ok

Katiec1 · 29/05/2023 18:18

@LilmissCa yep I’m just over a tummy bug, sorry if it’s tmi but vomiting lasted 5 hours, then diarrhoea lasted quite some time. Took about 5 days for my tummy to settle back to normal.
Keep well hydrated, I took a dioralyte every few hours too.
hope it passes soon for you 😢

Travellingislife · 29/05/2023 19:53

They tested the fluid and it wasn’t amniotic, they said it’s normal discharge. My cervix was closed as well. I didn’t get a scan but they listened to the heartbeat so I feel reassured now

spanglesj · 29/05/2023 20:16

@Travellingislife yeah I think there is a thing with incomplete emptying of the bladder when pregnant, so you think you’re done then some gushes out afterwards. Have had this myself - it’s so glam being pregnant ! But for sure check if you’re worried eh, always best and that’s what they are there for x

spanglesj · 29/05/2023 20:19

@Travellingislife ah just saw your update! Glad you went. Hope you feel better.

LilmissCa · 29/05/2023 21:18

@Katiec1 thanks! I had 10 hours of vomiting and no diarrhoea yet, praying I'm over the worst but really struggling to drink so far

MeganC104 · 29/05/2023 22:27

@Travellingislife that's great. How far along are you?

WhiteJasmin · 30/05/2023 00:45

Hello all! Hope I can join this thread. I'm due November 1st. Waiting for my 20 weeks scan coming up ahead.

Just want to ask have anyone been recommended to take a covid booster shot? I've taken the flu shot and sitting on the fence about another booster. Thanks!

CliniMama · 30/05/2023 01:17

Hi @WhiteJasmin
my midwife actually said that they were advising us not to get the Covid vaccine/booster whilst pregnant. This was at my first midwife appointment at 8weeks. She suggested flu jab but said their guidance had changed for Covid. I’m in London, not sure if the guidance is location specific though you’d hope not! I’ll ask again when I see her at 16weeks but I personally won’t be getting it either way (though have previously had all doses including the booster).

WhiteJasmin · 30/05/2023 01:24

@CliniMama thanks! I'm in Australia and so far it sounds like so long as you had 3 shots (which I have had pre pregnancy) the 4th is optional depending if I have medical conditions. After 3 shots the current advice is that my risk isn't any higher than non pregnant people. However I heard the New Zealand advice is to to have booster during pregnancy regardless.

Travellingislife · 30/05/2023 06:38

@MeganC104 @spanglesj I’m 17 weeks and yeah who knows, it might’ve been wee 😳 glamorous time indeed.. I’m going to keep a pad on for a few days just in case it happens again.
@WhiteJasmin @CliniMama my midwife said it’s completely fine to take a covid booster if I want to. Yet another thing that’s different between trusts. I won’t take it, I’ve had 3 shots/ boosters.

Has anyone had a stomach bug during pregnancy?
It seems a million times worse cuz I'm pregnant, I've had HG In pregnancy but this is a other level. Finally had HG settled & gotten over covid to have about 4 great days of energy now to be hit again!
Just wondering will I bounce back quick or will this linger? If anyone has experience

Feeling very sorry for myself today!

I did right at the beginning, think I was about 8 weeks.
Sickness & diarrhoea only lasted 24 hours but I felt awful for 6 days and didn't get my appetite back until day 7. 😞
Hope it eases for you soon

Mldn · 30/05/2023 08:50

I’m in London & just had my 16 week appt where they suggested the 4th Covid booster. I won’t be getting it though.

LeeanneD11 · 29/05/2023 00:19

When did everyone start showing? This is my 3rd baby & im 14 weeks today , finally in second trimester hoping the tiredness eases off soon .

I feel like I've still got the bloat feeling and I should have bump by now.? As it's my 3rd baby

Is anyone experiencing this? Is this normal lol 🤣

Everyone has noticed I'm pregnant but before they know I could be fat or bloated lol 😂
Hope your all enjoying the lovely weather ❤️❤️

@LeeanneD11 I've been showing for a few weeks now. I'm 15 weeks with our 5th and have diastasis recti so look about 20 weeks already 🙈 feeling little flutters too, which is lovely.

LeeanneD11 · 30/05/2023 09:08

@Bookworm12345

My bump has just started to show more now I'm 14 weeks . I haven't felt any flutters yet . But I was told I have an anterior placenta again but not sure if I do as it's not on my notes to say it . But I can't wait to feel the flutters and movements .

I'm so just nervous cause I keep sleeping on my back and it's the only way I feel comfortable as can't sleep on my side very well so I'm like very cautious as if it's squashing the baby xxx

FlyingHighFlyingLow · 30/05/2023 09:39

Anyone else had this? Today I feel really dizzy, light-headed and a little breathless when I get up or bend, and my temperature is down at 35.5 degrees. BP seems ok, 100/65.

38andtrying · 30/05/2023 09:58

Have an assurance scan today at 5.40, im 16w+1.

Nerves on edge right now, praying all will be ok 🙏 I think if this one is OK and baby has heartbeat etc I may actually start believing I'm having a baby

Mldn · 30/05/2023 10:00

@FlyingHighFlyingLow I am pretty dizzy most times when I stand or bend. Blood pressure also okay for me. I mentioned it last week at my 16 week appt & they said it’s normal & dizziness is just a symptom of pregnancy & some women get it worse than others. It only started to this level for me the last couple weeks back. I’m just over 17 weeks! Unsure on body temp but is yours slightly low?

LilmissCa · 30/05/2023 10:00

@38andtrying good luck for today!!!
I'm
Close to booking one too.. in the non believer camp as well still!
