I’ve had some pains down there so maybe I’m stretching too and that’s why I look ‘round/bloated/fat/pregnant-ish’ 😂😂😂😂 @PrimarilyParented
We told our parents on Easter Sunday and just told our friends this week, my boss is off with Covid so I won’t tell her until she’s back to work -
I’m so nervous to tell her 😂😅 ….

so glad it’s not just me popping out 😂😂😂

I hope my baby comes early on 23rd so the bday can be 23/10/23 I’m a bit weird that way 😂😂😂

PrimarilyParented · 21/04/2023 21:41

@NSx a birthday like that is cool, I agree. It’s not quite a palindrome but has that feel.

I was also extremely nervous about telling my boss but ultimately so glad I did as she was lovely and it made the days when I had bad morning sickness at work bearable as she knew and looked after me as best as she could. I really appreciated someone knowing I wasn’t just being work-shy or useful but that I was actually struggling to get through the mornings and trying my best to keep doing my job.

Baby number 2
Due 9th October
Find out the gender next Friday ❤️

OrionNebula · 21/04/2023 22:39

I got a small bump around 10 weeks but it hasn't really grown much since then.

VictoriaBlossom · 21/04/2023 23:45

@NSx well I invested in some maternity leggings today just for a bit of comfort as I feel bloated.

Looked down and I absolutely have a bump! I had a really positive burst of energy, danced around the kitchen with my doggo and talked to my tummy. Felt really odd

VictoriaBlossom · 21/04/2023 23:48

@Soda123x think it's 6 with @Dorsetmamma

I joke about keeping my knees together for a week so I get my Halloween baby 😂

Sammmmm123 · 22/04/2023 00:34

Anyone have any guesses on what the gender could be

overgrowngrass · 22/04/2023 03:59

I’m shocked/impressed that some of you are only just struggling to do up trousers, I’ve gone up 2 dress sizes in trousers already and only 13+5 😩

Aww I've said a Halloween baby would be pretty cool too. I've got a leap day baby already my DS was born 29.2.2020 so it would be cool if #2 had a memorable date too.
If not we have sooooo many bdays in the family in October.. They're all betting who's bday the baby will come on lol xx

@overgrowngrass don’t worry, I’m 14 weeks and I’ve not been in my jeans for weeks now (at least not without pregnancy extenders on). Partly bloating and partly that morning sickness is exacerbated by anything tight.

I’ve been wearing dresses mostly but also got some maternity work trousers 3 weeks ago. My pregnancy jeans from Seraphine arrived yesterday and are so comfortable!

peonygirl · 22/04/2023 08:36

Finally had my 12w scan and bloods. It took 3 ppl for bloods so I worry how will this go in the next months. Now waiting 2w for results but scan results were all fine. DD confirmed 30th October.

My next scan is only on June 12th. It seems ages away.

I am 12+5 today, still nauseous and not showing much. Still wearing my regular clothes.

Summer022 · 22/04/2023 08:57

Still not showing at all here 😆 I mean my tummy is a tiny bit rounded but that’s just how it always has been so I definitely can’t tell a difference 🤣 I really want to pop a little just so I can know baby is growing ok in there 🥹

PrimarilyParented · 21/04/2023 16:57

@razzler991 i’m also due on the 18th but will be having a section so expecting it to be around 11th in reality.

we’re finding out the gender but as baby was sleeping the whole way through the 12 week scan the sonographer did a whole head through the body scan and when she got to the bum me and my partner were both pretty certain it was a boy but the sonographer quickly whizzed away at that point.

I'm due the 18th too! but also very likely to have a c section. It's our 10 year anniversary on the 12th, so that'd be cool..

Hopefulx · 22/04/2023 09:12

I’ve been showing since about 8 weeks 😂 it was probably bloating back then but has now changed to a bump. I weighed myself yesterday and have put on a stone already 😆 I’ve not worn jeans for about 5 weeks and am going shopping today to get some new clothes & bras as my boobs are bulging out! Does anyone recommend any good pregnancy bras? I’m all for comfort

SlowlyGainingConfidence · 22/04/2023 09:44

Due 25th Oct with second here. I want to find out sex, partner doesn't so we'll see who wins that one. After a tough time last time I think it'll help me feel prepared to know as much as possible. I'm also on anxiety medication & in counselling which has so far made the pregnancy much happier despite feeling sick all the time.

Think I'm just starting to feel a bit better now so hoping that 2nd tri glow will kick in soon 🤗

SlowlyGainingConfidence · 22/04/2023 09:47

@peonygirl my next scan is 12th June too, does feel an age away. If your midwives use an app I found my screening results were on there after 4 working days whereas I still don't have the letter yet so worth keeping an eye on.

For those in the in-between normal & maternity clothes stage - hairband looped through button hole & around the button gives you a bit of extra room on jeans etc. I WFH so just have them undone mostly now

VictoriaBlossom · 22/04/2023 09:57

@Hopefulx next have a lovely really comfy cotton sports type bra.
It's got the next logo on the band at the bottom, slightly padded so it hides the constant nip on as well! Bonus!
They do a nursing version too but not seen it in person

VictoriaBlossom · 22/04/2023 09:59

How's everyone's hair?
I'm shedding really bad 13w5
Is anyone else going through that or do you all have beautiful thick luscious locks

Hopefulx · 22/04/2023 10:01

@VictoriaBlossom thank you will pop in next and have a look today

omg my hair is the same it’s so ratty. All the ends are wispy too I need to book in for a cut. Is pregnancy supposed to make our hair thicker? If so I wonder when that happens

katherine123x · 22/04/2023 10:29

Does anyone have any travel tips for travelling whilst pregnant??

kingfisher168 · 22/04/2023 10:36

@katherine123x I have just done a short-haul flight (2-ish hours) and felt quite nauseated, so I'd make sure to keep hydrated a lot and eat a healthy diet just before / during. Didn't wear compression stockings but they might give you a piece of mind on any journeys over 2 hours. Also I regret travelling in jeans - though I can still do them up (just! at 16w) dresses are just so much more comfortable and non-restrictive.

katherine123x · 22/04/2023 10:43

@kingfisher168 thank you!

PeopleAreToads · 22/04/2023 12:02

I'm due the 18th like a few others, but had a letter to say I have low PAPP-A and need to see a consultant, and will be induced ahead of my due date so will likely be before then

Koalawhala · 22/04/2023 12:54

@Hopefulx highly recommend a bravissimo fitting if you’re over (or become over!) a certain size. I had some really comfy bras from there last time. They’ll recommend bras to wear for most of pregnancy and the proper nursing bras are fitted towards the end of pregnancy.

I think my really comfy ones were Sugar Candy but can also recommend Elomie bras for if you are breastfeeding but still want to give your body a nice shape - for an event, wedding etc as they are underwired and more structured.
I also love a comfy sleep bra!

EMcG3 · 22/04/2023 14:10

@DancingNancies I think you and I were talking before about how you thought you'd have a boy because your family was all boys. I thought I'd have a girl as we are all girls. Wellllll... turns out we are having a boy who will have a sister and 8 female cousins.

@NSx I like your nearly-palandrome date. My daughter's first name is a palindrome of my husband's last name, but I spoiled the effect by also giving her my last name.
