@cruciverbalista I bought the Asda 2 pack of maternity shorts and they’ve gone under EVERYTHING the chafe is just too awful.

16w today and I’m feeling the bump more but it’s not at all visible. Everyone is just commenting on my boobs having exploded (was a 36H before, now my bras are too small so I’m living in sleep bralettes).

SillyOldBear3 · 15/05/2023 21:33

Thanks for the bralette suggestions! My boobs are huge, pre pregnancy I was a 34DD and currently a 36E (and seem to be getting bigger). A lot of the comfiest looking ones seem to offer no support 🙁 anyone have any recommendations for big boobs? 🙈

SillyOldBear3 · 15/05/2023 21:37

@cruciverbalista I feel you!

Handy tip.. I usually keep any old tights which have ladders in and cut them into 'shorts' so I can wear them under summer dresses and noone would ever know 😊 it also offers support for bump!

LaVitesse2022 · 15/05/2023 21:53

@SillyOldBear3 no model in particular sorry but if you have a Bravissimo near you I definitely recommend going for a fitting. They're experts in big boobs! 😀 I went there for my new sports bras and was very impressed with the service, they're really knowledgeable. I'm 2 sizes up, wasn't aware ribcage also expands during pregnancy! 👀

SillyOldBear3 · 15/05/2023 22:37

@LaVitesse2022 ooh I'll have to pop to our nearest one. I'm in Wales so I think Chester is our nearest - thanks! I wasn't aware of this either but my ribcage has definitely expanded! I've bought some of those bra extenders which are helping, but the cup sizes on my current bras are now also too small! 🙈

monsteramunch · 16/05/2023 00:10

Every now and then I get a particular rush of "oh my goodness this is actually happening and I am so fucking lucky!!!" when I feel her move.

Just sharing as I know lots of you will be similar in having had such long journeys and so much heartache and disappointment along the way.

The fact we are here now and growing these little ones is just the best. Schmaltzy, yes, but true!

Trying to reflect with gratitude at the end of every so sharing mine with you all! Flowers

Smiffette · 16/05/2023 05:26

I got these from H&M they are super comfy and lightweight and go over my bump! After about week 10/11 I had thigh rub! I seem to put weight on all over from the early on annoyingly!

I knew I'd be wearing a lot of dresses so felt like a good investment, they are in sale now so think I'll
Get another two pairs!

Can anyone help? I’ve been on iron tablets since Friday and I’ve been getting stomach cramps on and off and (sorry TMI!!) but my stools are loose which I thought I’d go the other way. Is this normal? Should I wait another few days or contact my GP?

peonygirl · 16/05/2023 08:56

@LWestYorks Always contact GP if in doubt but I can tell you from my experience that iron tablets don't take effect immediately. It takes me around 3months each time to build up the reserves and yes, your stools will be dark brown and harder. Again, not necessarily after one week.

Light cramps are also normal as everything is stretching, I have cramps on and off too. If they are really heavy I would seek advice from midwife.

lighthousechristmas · 16/05/2023 10:56

@SillyOldBear3 I wear Molke bras (big boobs) and love them!

MeganC104 · 16/05/2023 13:15

Is anyone still nauseous? 16 weeks and I threw up again today 😩

cruciverbalista · 16/05/2023 13:24

@MeganC104 sadly I still am at 19 weeks! Not as much, but at least once a week🙃

peonygirl · 16/05/2023 13:24

@MeganC104 you can count on me :) I am 16w today and threw up royally on Sunday evening. I have horrible indigestion still and need to eat quite small meals (1/2 of my normal meal) or else I feel like my stomach is full of stones.

Summer022 · 16/05/2023 13:51

Nausea is on and off but mostly off now. Still have a very heightened sense of smell which will quite often cause me to retch, but feel my symptoms are really starting to chill out now at nearly 17 weeks which is nice. Had my blood test today to see if baby boy is Rhesus - or +. I don’t know loads about it but hoping as I’m negative that there won’t be too many complications that come from me being negative

firstlittlefrazzleontheway · 16/05/2023 13:55

@Summer022 I had my blood test yesterday to check baby's blood type. I was really surprised that results will take 2 weeks and come via post I've been told!

ttcttc · 16/05/2023 15:39

@NSx finally seen the midwife. My Papp-A was 0.94 which is normal she said. She's now published my bloods to the app.

Heard baby's heart rate... after a bit of fishing about for it. It was 152 so she said that's in range too 😊

NSx · 16/05/2023 19:02

@ttcttc my results are not on badger notes yet 😂😂😂 I don’t know what my Papp-A is but I’m curious to know, also don’t know my babies heart rate but a few weeks ago it was 161 so it’s well within normal ranges.
how did you find your midwife appt? My midwife is lovely but I have no idea how to contact her if I wanted to 😂😂

My midwife said anything between 110 and 160 so all sounds good 😊
I found her nice. I wasn't in long but suppose there wasn't much to cover. She offered to give me her mobile number but I said it was in the app and I checked and it was so that's how I contact her but she also said to contact triage or maternity if I can't get her.

peonygirl · 16/05/2023 19:33

@NSx I asked my midwife and she gave me her phone no. so I can text her. I don't know if she does this with everyone but I am the type of person I won't bother others unless it is really important so I only send her a text when needed. Maybe worth asking her what to do if you have an issue or if you are worried?

LWestYorks · 16/05/2023 20:13

How is everyone movements? I was 19 weeks yesterday and mine are still very hit and miss - it’s making me quite anxious :-( I haven’t felt nothing major and when I do it’s more like pops or tickle types. X

NSx · 16/05/2023 20:28

@ttcttc @peonygirl I will maybe ask her next time I see her. Tbh (touch wood) I haven’t really needed her for anything, so it’s been ok. I guess I could call the hospital if I need to get a hold of her.

Glad both your midwives are nice and forthcoming 😊💕

NSx · 16/05/2023 20:29

@LWestYorks I am 17 weeks and feel nothing 😂😂😂

firstlittlefrazzleontheway · 16/05/2023 20:29

@NSx my midwife wrote her name and mobile number on my pink notes at my booking appointment, I only saw it by chance when I was reading through so yours may have done the same

firstlittlefrazzleontheway · 16/05/2023 20:31

@LWestYorks I'm feeling the same as you, sometimes it's days between movements too (I'm 19 weeks tomorrow with an anterior placenta). I always describe it as the feeling of a spider running up your arm but on the inside of my tummy if that makes sense?

So excited for my scan on Friday just to check on baby and make sure all is okay🤞
