@cruciverbalista I did baby sign classes with my boy and it ended up being so good for him. It took absolutely ages before he started using them consistently but it was so useful for him to be able to tell me what he wanted. It does require a lot of consistency and you basically have to sign at them all the time and I felt like a bit of a tit doing it to start with 😂
I’ll do it again with this one for sure. The classes I went to were called Sing and Sign.

pangolin84 · 13/05/2023 21:57

There was one time in the supermarket my son kicked his shoe off in the buggy and my husband didn’t notice. My son was frantically signing “shoe” at him but my husband didn’t clock why. Once he realised he went back to where my son had been signing and there was his shoe!

cruciverbalista · 13/05/2023 22:59

@pangolin84 So cool!

@ttcttc I get what you mean but remember it’s depending on many factors like age etc. so if you are older than someone else your numbers may not seem as good if that makes sense: I know it’s easier said than done, but try not to worry too much.
how are you ? Xx

Yeah that's true. I'm 31 so probably classed as a geriatric mother 😂

I'm actually a lot better. Not feeling as sick and tired but still tired lol! I'm still itchy and think I've woke up this morning with thrush... oh the glam 💁🏼‍♀️ how you getting on? Xx

NSx · 14/05/2023 10:16

@ttcttc I’m older than you so don’t worry 😂😂😂😂 …

I’m doing a bit better too; my skins still not great but the nausea isn’t as bad. However I went to Wagamamas yesterday and then was exhausted and came back and slept for 11 h -
I don’t know what to make of it 😂😂😂 when is this energy supposed to appear? 😂😂😂😂 x

monsteramunch · 14/05/2023 10:23

@NSx

I'm so tired too! And falling asleep randomly in the afternoons. I heard that lots of people get a boost in the second trimester and feel energised... not the case here!

My headaches are back too which is annoying. Feeling her move around is helpful though as it sort of reminds me it's all going to be worth it.

NSx · 14/05/2023 10:47

@monsteramunch 😂 glad it’s not just me: I also do love an afternoon nap 😴 ….
how many weeks are you, im only 16+4 so no movements yet for me 😒

Alexandra07 · 14/05/2023 11:22

I still sleep 10 hours per day but yesterday for first time since 6 weeks I had the energy to actually do proper cleaning! I hope it lasts! I still dont see any second trimester glow! I am 16+1 today.

SillyOldBear3 · 14/05/2023 11:36

@ttcttc Mine were 1 in 4100 for DS and 1 in 10000 for P and E. I wouldn't stress about it, they are still low results and my midwife wasn't at all concerned xx

Oh you must be a proper old bird 😂 😜

I've no idea when this energy comes in. Or the glow. I look bloody rough 😂 I jump when I knock my front camera on 🥴.
I've never had a Wagamama's... hope it was worth it!! Xx

I know, I'm just worrying over nothing!! Are you a similar age to me?

I'd love to know what factors made mine a bit higher than others though 🤔 xx

Welcome to nap club! I'm 17+6 and at the moment it mostly feels sort of like that feeling when you near fall down the stairs - a mini version of that tummy flip. Other times it feels like bubbles is the only way I can describe it. Takes me by surprise every time!

Chanteuse · 14/05/2023 11:55

I’m 19 weeks pregnant and still looking for the glow 🤷🏻‍♀️ also been told pretty much every morning in work this week that I look tired… wow thanks everyone 🤦🏻‍♀️

I'm 34 so older than you! First baby too 💕

Did you get a report with yours? Mine shows nuchal fold in mm, as well as HcG and PAPP-A levels. I had a Google of my results and they seem pretty average. Xx

SillyOldBear3 · 14/05/2023 12:11

@monsteramunch I'm also 17+6 today! 😊 I'm not feeling much movement yet though, the occasional flutter which could easily be gas 🤣 xx

ttcttc · 14/05/2023 14:24

@SillyOldBear3 no my letter literally said ds and p+e. My nuchal fold was 2.0mm because I asked the Sonographer. I'll ask the midwife about my papp-A on Tuesday when I see her, see if she knows xx

peonygirl · 14/05/2023 14:27

@Chanteuse I can relate to that! The only good thing of me being so sick in the first trimester was that everyone at work now think I look way better. But tired. They keep on sending me "to rest". My manager the other day when I rebelled said "but you're growing a human!" He's lovely :)

NSx · 14/05/2023 15:23

@ttcttc yes I am ancient 😂😂😂 I look a lot younger I’ve been told everyone thinks I look in my late 20s so I’m not worried 😂😂😂 …
there are so many factors that contribute, it could be anything, so don’t stress - the main point is, it’s low chance 💗
my Wagamamas was great, but it’s high on spices, so I did feel some of the tastes linger on me, but so far so good, it didn’t upset my stomach or make me vomit 😆

@monsteramunch after my 11h sleep last night I’ve been full of energy today 😂 I feel once I get going I’m fine, it’s when I sit down that’s the issue. I’ve been to Morrisons, pharmacy, petrol station, hoovered, done 2 washings 😅😂 yesterday I did 0 🤣

@Chanteuse a patient of mine told me ‘u look very tired from your eyes’ 😂 he doesn’t know I’m pregnant 😂 so don’t worry it’s not just you 😅🥹

SillyOldBear3 · 14/05/2023 16:06

@ttcttc anything under 3mm is considered normal, mine was 1.4. You could ask her out of interest but like I said, your results are still very low risk (and much lower risk than the average by age) so just keep telling yourself that 🙂 xx

Smiffette · 14/05/2023 16:46

Little update, had my Gender scan today, I'm having a boy 💙

monsteramunch · 14/05/2023 16:51

Aah congrats @Smiffette!

Isn't it just so lovely seeing them at each scan?

We're having a girl and until the last week it seemed like most people on the thread were but I think the balance is more even since the last week or so!

NSx · 14/05/2023 17:30

@SillyOldBear3 @ttcttc mine was 1.7mm

@Smiffette congratulations 🩵🩵🩵

Smiffette · 14/05/2023 18:29

Thank you 😊

Alexandra07 · 14/05/2023 19:05

@Smiffette congratulations!

4 weeks to my 20 week scan, seems so far in the future!

doeandfawn · 14/05/2023 21:27

@Smiffette congrats on your scan!

Ours isn’t until 13th June and we’ve decided to wait and go for private one a little later (once the nhs scans have run out and we want to see baby) but having to wait a month to find out which name we’re going with is hard!
