@Summer022 How exciting! I have mine weekend after. 17yr age gap between this one and my eldest, she wants to come and do a reveal thing in the evening. I am not too fussed 😄.

NSx · 08/05/2023 18:47

@LaylaHL2023 nopeeee I’m 15+5 felt nothing but I think it’s normal it’s still early x x

katherine123x · 08/05/2023 19:03

17 weeks now, dates a few extra days again yesterday. Definitely more noticeable movement the last few days. Once you know what it is you recognise it more. Mainly when I'm relaxed!

LaVitesse2022 · 08/05/2023 19:53

@LR94 I was just saying to DP this morning that the last couple of days it felt like my bump had disappeared! I just had a small bulge that could be down to just a bit of wind. But I looked in the mirror this evening and it's become very noticeable again. Even my mid-rise leggings keep rolling down so it's definitely there!

I think at this point there's still room in there for things not to push forward so much so it's difficult to tell because some days you can be more bloated and that makes a lot of difference. But I definitely notice my ribcage has expanded as my old bras now won't clasp - I think it's moving things up too, not just forward, if that makes sense.

I'm trying not to worry needlessly and keep reminding myself I'm not even halfway yet so there'll be plenty of time for the bump to become impossible not to notice 😅

Having said that, that 20 week scan cannot come soon enough!

DSP21 · 08/05/2023 20:49

No movement no bump no symptoms, definitely anxious!!

PrimarilyParented · 08/05/2023 23:15

@LaylaHL2023 i can feel some movements now (16+5) but I think I only recognise them as it’s my second pregnancy and I’m paying attention to them. It’s only ever when I’m still, mostly when I’m in bed, that I can feel baby moving and twice in the last couple of days I think I’ve felt a little kick (i’d describe them as like popcorn).

monsteramunch · 08/05/2023 23:36

Same as others, I'm 17 weeks and have started to feel movements but only when I'm still and calm in bed other than once when my other half made me laugh really, really hard and I felt them then too which was sweet!

I have a terrible stomach tonight and the awful pains that come with diarrhoea. Ugh. Absolutely hate it especially as all you can do is wait it out. Horrible feeling I'll be up for at least some of the night with it 😞

Hope everyone else is doing ok! Flowers

Saturnsmoon · 09/05/2023 00:57

Im 18+3 with my first and don’t think I’ve felt any movements. I’m starting to get inpatient however I know that I have an anterior placenta so trying not to worry just yet. Counting down to my 20 week scan in 13 days though!

MeganC104 · 09/05/2023 10:31

I plan to tell my employer tomorrow. I'm 15 weeks. I don't have a great relationship with my manager so not sure how this will go down

katherine123x · 09/05/2023 11:12

Morning ladies, tricky topic as normal 😂 how is everyone's sex drive? Mines been 0 since day 1 ... still is 😂 I think it's a mixture of emotion, tiredness and sickness and not necessarily physical changes.

cruciverbalista · 09/05/2023 11:28

Good luck @MeganC104 I really hope they are happy for you and supportive as they should be!

I am having SEVERE back pain today-- really glad I didn't cancel the physio appointment coming up this week, which I made when I had a completely different kind of pain two months ago (lol). Anybody else starting to struggle with bending over, sitting/standing, etc?

@katherine123x Mine has actually been fairly normal in the past few weeks although obviously a lot of positions are no longer comfortable! I would think the hormones really affect it though, I think you're less far along than me? 18+2 today.

katherine123x · 09/05/2023 11:36

Hi @cruciverbalista around 17 weeks. Give or take. Hoping for it to come back a bit!! Missing the intimacy but just not feeling it!

Mldn · 09/05/2023 12:07

@katherine123x im exactly the same - zero desire for it! For the first 9/10 weeks I was too scared anyway in case it made me bleed etc. since then just haven’t wanted to! Have done it once. This week! And that’s that for a while 😅 pregnancy just isn’t glamorous & I am so anxious all of the time! Poor other half but he is just as anxious as me I think.. I’m only 15 weeks! So hoping the second trimester energy will give me a new lease of life.. nothing as of yet!

Zero too, I just don't feel like it at all. Think I'm just so tired!

Alexandra07 · 09/05/2023 14:41

@MeganC104 good luck tomorrow! Remember it's not their business what family/personal decisions you make. I hope it goes better than you think.

@katherine123x zero drive here, I am still waiting for that second trimester glow and energy!

katherine123x · 09/05/2023 14:42

Thanks for the replies ladies, good to know it's not just me 😂

lighthousechristmas · 09/05/2023 16:38

@katherine123x can't even think about doing it, haha, way too tired for that. and also husband is a bit freaked out by it anyway so we both not feeling it haha

Needtobuildabridge · 09/05/2023 16:58

@katherine123x We're at roughly half of our usual sex frequency, although in the first few weeks it was almost zero.

I agree with @cruciverbalista that many positions are no longer comfortable. For as long as we're oversharing, I realised a few nights ago that I can no longer use my stomach muscles to pull forward or tense. Now I can't...ahem... get there in my favourite way 🥺

Ss32 · 09/05/2023 17:09

We’ve had our 20 week scan today. Baby is a little girl 💖

@katherine123x i’m the opposite, mine is through the roof. It was the same last time but I know my partner will go ‘off the boil’ soon and he got a bit creeped out last time once the bump got a bit bigger 😂🙈

Chanteuse · 09/05/2023 18:01

I’m also finding I have less of a drive, mostly because I’m still so exhausted that by the time DH comes to bed I’m asleep🤣 I’ve told him if he wants to DTD he needs to come to bed early.

Got my downs screening results back today - low risk 1:5000 so I’m happy.

JoanneV · 09/05/2023 18:58

Does anyone else have a hypertonic pelvic floor? I don't have a diagnosis but always had a strong suspicion and my symptoms are getting worse.

LaVitesse2022 · 09/05/2023 19:09

@MeganC104 good luck for tomorrow! Hope it goes better than you're expecting x

@katherine123x I'm the opposite, increased libido since day 1 😅 Definitely notice a change from the ups and downs of libido during the menstrual cycle

GEM429 · 09/05/2023 19:16

Hello ladies!
I’ve been reading and watching for a while

I’ve got my 20 week scan on Thursday and having sleepless nights worrying! I can’t feel anything yet either which is making me worried!

Is this all normal?! I’m driving myself mad!

HVHT · 09/05/2023 20:50

Hi everyone,
had my 16 week appointment today and I asked my midwife about antenatal classes, she said there isn’t any on the nhs and it’s all private, which surprised me quite a lot! I wondered if people have found this aswell or whether it was just in my local area? And people that aren’t 1st time mums do you recommend them/worth paying for? Thank ☺️

GEM429 · 09/05/2023 20:54

@HVHT hello! In my area they do an NHS one but it’s online!
