@Hls93 yes! I find some Vaseline or similar around the nostrils traps the pollen and limits my reaction!

*DUE!!! God forbid

kensjers · 02/05/2023 08:29

Hi all. Is anyone the exact same weight as before pregnancy (who hasn’t experienced tons of sickness)? Appreciate when you have bad sickness, you could actually be weight down right now. But I’ve been fine for a while and still no weight change on the scales. I can’t remember when I started gaining weight last time so couldn’t remember if that was normal? (I’m 16 weeks)

katherine123x · 02/05/2023 09:07

@kensjers weighed myself this morning and weigh the same. 16 weeks tomorrow. Few spouts of sickness but eating normally!

DSP21 · 02/05/2023 11:42

@kensjers 15 weeks and no weight gain! Have a bump and haven’t had any sickness. I didn’t start gaining till after 16 weeks in my previous pregnancy and it was quite slow and steady too.

cruciverbalista · 02/05/2023 12:58

17+2 and really showing!!!

I never weigh myself as I'm a former ED sufferer so i'm not sure but imagine I have put on a bit as I have a bump. Regular clothes that are stretchy and don't have zips/buttons are still fitting fine though. Lovely bump @cruciverbalista !

Ss32 · 02/05/2023 16:08

Oo 20 week scan booked in for next week ladies! I’m excited but nervous all in one!

ttcttc · 02/05/2023 16:25

@NSx has it arrived 🤞🏼

SillyOldBear3 · 02/05/2023 16:58

Anyone feeling movement? I am 16+2 today and yesterday I felt baby move so much! To the point that if I looked at my belly I could even see slight movement from outside?! Not so much today, I think baby must have been in a headstand position as the kicks were quite high, around my belly button.

OrionNebula · 02/05/2023 17:11

@SillyOldBear3 yes definitely getting ripples and little kicks. Still very sporadic at the moment, I go ages without any at all which has been worrying me but it's normal at this stage apparently.

ttcttc · 02/05/2023 17:26

Is anyone else so itchy? I'm so itch everywhere I could itch my skin off and I'm
Marking my skin!

Chanteuse · 02/05/2023 17:30

I’m struggling to hide my bump now (there’s only so much a floaty dress can do!) 🫣 all adults in work know but the students don’t (or they have guessed but are too polite to say). I don’t want to tell kids until I’ve had my 20wk scan which is another 3 weeks away.

Needtobuildabridge · 02/05/2023 18:01

So, I had a little panic today and asked my Brother in Law to give me a little scan. (He's a Consultant Radiologist with an ultrasound machine at home)
Firstly, baby is great!
Secondly, he thinks that he may have seen a little something on the scan too!

I'm tentatively saying that we're having a boy! Our 20 week scan is in 2 week, so we'll confirm then. 🥰

PS: apologies for all of the exclamation marks, but this is exciting! 😂

NSx · 02/05/2023 19:34

@ttcttc NOOOO it has not 😂😂😂😂 think the mailman lost my letter 😅🥹 it’s literally never coming 🤣

Omg! You'll have to ring up!

NSx · 02/05/2023 19:55

I have a day off tomorrow, so I will ring my midwife and see what she says 😂 tbh that’s literally been 2 weeks 🥹
the only one saving grace is that I’ve had an NIPT and had those results so technically my screening results should be low, but would still be nice to actually get that in writing 😂
it’s funny because I was told that the hospitals take ages to get mail out the hospital, but this is a bit of a joke 😂😅 @ttcttc

At least your nipt results are back. Why did you have nipt xx

EMcG3 · 02/05/2023 20:28

@ttcttc - I only have an itchy scalp. I was reading yesterday that itchiness is normal but worth checking out if it is on your hands and feet (I assume that means palms and soles?)

Feet and hands are fine but scalp arms legs back neck belly is unbearable. I'm marking all my skin itching.
This is from itching my stomach last week but usually it's claw marks 🤦🏼‍♀️

Another Baby girl for me 💕

Private scan today and baby was fast asleep with her back to us so had to go for a jog to wake her up and go back in to try again.

I was so sure this one was a boy so it’s a shock but over the moon 💖

NSx · 02/05/2023 21:05

@ttcttc because I lost a baby last year to one of the trisomy’s - so when I got pregnant again the NHS offered me the choice of NIPT, CVS or Amniocentesis… I obviously chose the non-invasive one — and it came back as low for all 3 this time thank God.
I had an amnio last time and didn’t want anything that could harm the baby unless I had reason to believe something was wrong again, you know?

Makes total sense and worth it to put your mind at ease. I wouldn't worry about the combined results as the nipt will be more accurate x
