@ttcttc it might not be on badger notes. I have that app but my letter arrived in the post and said to take it to my next midwife appointment and they would put the results on the app for me.

i was told when I did the test that I would be called within the week if there were issues so to be honest I’d just assumed there weren’t any by a week afterwards and the letter arrived and I’d totally forgotten I’d even get one. The risks were all 1/5000 so that was as good as I could have hoped for.

BeaKind · 26/04/2023 20:24

Thanks so much for the messages 🥰 I had the scan and we saw our little one very happy and looked like they were hiccuping away.

The sonographer said she couldn’t see a reason for the bleed but it could have been something similar to a burst blood vessel as we have so much more blood and the uterus is very vascular.

I’m so relieved 🥲 We go away Monday so I feel like we can relax now and properly enjoy our holiday too.

Hope everyone is doing ok. X

Oh Bea this is such amazing news! You must be so relieved. Really happy for you Flowers

EMcG3 · 26/04/2023 21:02

@NSx - sorry to hear you are waiting for results again. My hospital wouldn't do the combined test because NIPT is more accurate. I'm fine with that and actually really glad to not be waiting again. You should be all clear if your NIPT was all clear, though. In any event, I hope you're get results soon!

Actually, they offered me CVS if I want it but there is no medical reason for it as I am low risk and the Edwards has no reason to be recurring. I find the idea of doing it and waiting to hear back unbearable but trying to weigh that against whether it is irresponsible not to get maximum possible information, even if it doesn't make statistical sense to do it.

peonygirl · 26/04/2023 21:07

@BeaKind fabulous news! Enjoy your holidays. x

NSx · 26/04/2023 21:19

@ttcttc yes I have badger notes here too, I’m in Scotland and that’s what’s used up here. There’s nothing on there yet it says ‘not published’ so I’m assuming results are back, however no call. So I’ll take it as good news & I think you should too 💕💕

@BeaKind that’s wonderful news 🤍 my baby was hiccuping last week too, they said it’s pretty normal as they swallow the amniotic fluid 😅🥹

@EMcG3 so we got low risk too at the NIPT and they said I didn’t need to do the screening but I figured why not, what’s the harm even though I know NIPT is more accurate.
We weren’t offered cvs or anything again after the low result - tbh I don’t see the point in doing anything invasive. You’re putting your baby at risk potentially, when there are no indications there’s anything wrong. I think you’re making the right choice 💖💖

Chanteuse · 26/04/2023 22:06

I had my bloods for my quad screening today and the phlebotomist said that they will call you ASAP if there is an issue, so I think it’s a case of no news is good news! We have My Pregnancy Notes in my trust and she said she reckons my results will be up by Tuesday. Aim to respond in 5 working days in my trust!

So after all the messing I’ve had with my midwives 🤣 I have a new one now and she’s been pretty on the ball! She’s text me a few times to check in and immediately changed an error on my booking notes (it said there were alcohol and substance misuse concerns!!! 😳) so I’m feeling much less abandoned now

OrionNebula · 26/04/2023 22:21

@BeaKind delighted to hear that! Have a lovely holiday. I had my 12 week scan the day before we went on holiday and it was sooooo nice to have that reassurance just before we went!

Needtobuildabridge · 26/04/2023 22:39

@Chanteuse the weight gain is definitely getting to me. Nothing fits, and hadn't for weeks and weeks. I think I'm about a stone up. Which at 5'3" feels very noticeable 😕

firstlittlefrazzleontheway · 27/04/2023 02:11

@Chanteuse we use my pregnancy notes in my area too and I'm finding it a bit confusing to navigate!

BeaKind · 27/04/2023 05:46

I went to Primark the other day for some holiday bits and I’m usually a 10/12. I ended up buying a few bits and the sizes ranged from a small, medium and large, 12 and 16 in a pair of stretchy shorts 😅

Don’t worry too much about the weight gain ladies, it will come off in the end. 🤍

Also, does anyone find it annoying that there’s basically zero maternity wear in the shops to try on?

Mine went to not published the day I had them taken so I think that's just standard. As you say, hopefully no news is good news. I'm up at the hospital today for another scan (just a follow up from a bit of very little bleeding) so might mention it

I'm the same at 5'4. Nothing we can. Gonna get some bigger clothes 😂 I wasn't slim to start with so think I'm more conscious! I'm nearly 15 week. What are you?

LuckyC27 · 27/04/2023 06:02

Hi 👋🏻 can I join! Found out yesterday that I’m due twins currently 13 weeks so will likely be mid October babies. Trying not to freak out about having twins.

katherine123x · 27/04/2023 07:11

To maternity clothes. New look have 20% off at the mo. Ordered some stuff!!

Needtobuildabridge · 27/04/2023 07:13

@ttcttc I'm 17 today. I started as a size 8, and I'm at least a 12 now. I've put on so much, so quickly.

@BeaKind Yes, not being able to try on is so annoying! I'm not usually one for online shopping either. Tbh I hate most clothes shopping normally.... 😂
I know it will come off eventually, but my mum ballooned after having children- think size 26+ and never lost it. Doing the same has been a huge worry for me for years.

Are you finding you're gaining all over ? I'm no just belly, it's my legs boobs hips. Nothing we can do but nothing fits me either. Hang in there. D

doeandfawn · 27/04/2023 07:24

@BeaKind absolutely! Very frustrating not knowing how items will look or feel. I’ve found New Look and H&M most likely to have their maternity wear in store.

@LuckyC27 congratulations!

doeandfawn · 27/04/2023 07:26

I’ve found the swelling in my hands the worst, I had to tourniquet my wedding ring off today. I started size 18 and maintained weight but the bloating has put me up a size already.

Anyone can join 😊 just start chipping in to anything relevant to you and asking questions.. usually someone can help or give their experience. Don't be disheartened if you don't always get a reply as the thread moves quickly and bits can be missed. Have you had a scan yet ?

ttcttc · 27/04/2023 07:40

@LuckyC27 of course you've had a scan if you know it's twins. Ignore me 😂

JoanneV · 27/04/2023 08:09

@AlongcameLainey I'd heard of this one alright was just wondering if there was any others I didn't know about. Maybe they're the best for sales.

@BeaKind So delighted for you that you got good news, have a wonderful holiday.

katherine123x · 27/04/2023 08:12

@ttcttc LOLing at that

Welcome @LuckyC27 There are one or two expecting twins somewhere !! Congratulations 🌸

NSx · 27/04/2023 08:15

@ttcttc let me know what they say, I’m fairly confident we would have heard by now if there was anything sinister though 🤞

LuckyC27 · 27/04/2023 08:15

@ttcttc haha thank you!

@katherine123x oooh I’ll have to have a read through and find the other twin mummies!
