@MamaNicz - that is definitely on the lower end ,but for reference, my unsustainable level was .07. I read a lot of posts on the antinatal testing board and where people posted that their figures were below .2, outcomes started to be pretty reliably negative. At .37 you are nearly double .2 which is actually quite some distance away. I tried to find more academic literature on Papp-A scores and outcomes so I wasn't.relying only on anecdotal Mumsnet threads, but it has only started being tested in the past few years and I couldn't find anything linking levels to outcomes. Sorry this answer is a bit of a wash, but it sounds to my not-very-informed ears about as worrying as the midwives framed it - extra reasons to watch and take care, but otherwise continue on as normal. And for reference, not continuing on as normal is being pulled out of the regular midwives/consultants stream and being out under the care/testing regime of the foetal medicine unit (which doesn't bode terribly well for outcomes).

@Mldn @Sav96 thank you 🙏 I’ve booked one for this afternoon. X

Mldn · 26/04/2023 08:47

@BeaKind good luck! Will be thinking of you x

doeandfawn · 26/04/2023 08:52

Hello! New here, due our first on 30/10/23. We will be finding out the sex when we can but keeping it secret. We had given up after years of trying just to finally get our positive!

peonygirl · 26/04/2023 09:38

@doeandfawn congratulations! I am also here after a decade of trying and have the same due date as you.

Hannahelizab · 26/04/2023 11:31

Baby number 2 due 31st of October 👻 !

Phoenixwings1989 · 26/04/2023 12:01

@ttcttc I think they appeared right after I had the phone call about my screening results so depending on when you had your combined testing it will either be soon or a bit longer. Not sure how it works so might be best just keeping an eye and seeing if anything gets added.

@Ss32 My 16 weeks appointment is next Tuesday morning and midwife has already told me she won't be looking for the heartbeat which we're both gutted about but I guess it's what they think is best 😪. Just looking forward to actually hearing it at some stage.

@BeaKind I hope everything goes well with your scan. Let us know how you get on.

Koalawhala · 26/04/2023 12:04

Hope all goes well @BeaKind x

monsteramunch · 26/04/2023 12:08

Thinking of you @BeaKind and have everything crossed for you x

doeandfawn · 26/04/2023 13:33

Congrats! Seems this is finally our year.

doeandfawn · 26/04/2023 13:34

Good luck @BeaKind! Fingers and toes crossed.

Chanteuse · 26/04/2023 16:02

@BeaKind hope everything went well!

Is anyone else worried about weight gain? I was big to begin with but I’m concerned about my weight and it’s getting me down ☹️

JoanneV · 26/04/2023 16:37

Best of luck today @BeaKind

Can I ask if anyone has any good websites for the big items for baby? Want to start doing some price comparisons.

AlongcameLainey · 26/04/2023 16:39

Good luck @BeaKind x

i went to see a midwife today after my toddler using my tummy as a trampoline yesterday.

I was surprised they listened for the heartbeat as I’m only 15+1 but it was such a relief to hear it! The midwife (not my usual midwife) thinks I’m going to have a boy just from looking at me apparently!

AlongcameLainey · 26/04/2023 16:41

@JoanneV with our first we got most items from online4baby - they usually have some regular sales on the go. We got the travel system and the nursery furniture from them

Jealousofchiliheeler · 26/04/2023 18:16

Belatedly marking my place on here, missed this new thread at first! Baby #2, 14 weeks.

Also another one in the low PAPP-A club! Midwife called me today from fetal medicine department. I got panicked at first as thought there was something worrying from combined screening but the results for those have come back as low, especially Edwards and Patau which is really reassuring, it's just my PAPP-A level they have noticed.

Apparently it's not massively lower than recommended level (she said my level was 0.3 something) but they want me to start aspirin too and are going to send me for extra scans at 28, 32 and 36 weeks and said if any concerns on those they will refer me to fetal medicine consultant. Reconciling myself to a lot more appointments than my first pregnancy but I am nearly 40 so not a massive surprise!

ttcttc · 26/04/2023 19:05

How long did it take for you all to get your combined screen blood results back?

cruciverbalista · 26/04/2023 19:55

@ttcttc Mine took almost two weeks by post.

@BeaKind Been thinking of you today-- hope all is well.

We're away on holiday and I'm finally feeling like I'm in the second tri! Was able to go on a boat ride without hurling! Did have a nasty mood swing this evening though, so it's not all back to peachy on the other side of 16 weeks for me yet.

NSx · 26/04/2023 20:06

@cruciverbalista I take it your screening results came back clear?
I too am waiting for mine and it’s been a week now.
I remember last year when I was pregnant and had issues they called me straight away, so I’m trying to take it as no news is good news?

I’m just 14 weeks today and just entering my 2nd trimester - I’m hoping for an easier few weeks 😅😂

@BeaKind thinking of you today, I’m hoping all is well ✨🤍

cruciverbalista · 26/04/2023 20:07

@NSx Yes, I had stunningly low risks! I was assured they'd call within 3 business days if high risk in any way.

NSx · 26/04/2023 20:08

I’ve already had a NIPT so technically I shouldn’t be worried, but you just never know what they find, like some people her having low pap- a which is something I had last time @cruciverbalista ✨🤍 hope ur well

ttcttc · 26/04/2023 20:10

I've been waiting a week too. They did say two week but I think with seeing people get them sooner I'd thought I might 🤦🏼‍♀️

NSx · 26/04/2023 20:16

@ttcttc I do remember last year when it all started spiralling for me, they phoned me pretty promptly as there was a lot wrong.
I’m hoping that no news means we will just receive a nice letter in the post soon fingers crossed✨

I hope so too. I have the badger notes app so keep checking that but it seems to only update once a day. Do you have that in your area? X

Alexandra07 · 26/04/2023 20:22

@ttcttc I had my combined test on a Thursday, I got the letter the week after on Saturday. My hospital said that they have their results within 2 days so they would call me after 3 working days if there was an issue. If it's one week and you haven't heard anything, it must be good news!

@BeaKind good luck today! I'll be thinking of you. x
