I can see one for this so in my excitement thought I’d start one. Due date is 1st Jan for me 😊

I’m 37 and pregnant with no. 2. We tried for 4 months so lucky not too long.

Oh good luck @FingersCrossedXXX glad they moved scan forwards. I have a scan at EPU at end of May due to previous miscarriages so understand that worry.

tulipsunday · 03/05/2023 12:28

Enjoy Corfu! @Wanderlust86 and @RG9895 never been there but sounds nice

CMG92 · 03/05/2023 12:36

Iv started having some discharge today that’s slightly brown, has anyone else got this? I’m 5+1

Matildahoney · 03/05/2023 13:11

I went to bed about 11 last night DP came to bed just after 1, woke me up, or my bladder did! Couldn't go back to sleep for what felt like hours, awake at 6 cos of my bladder again šŸ™„ I remember the insomnia last time, DP wasn't living with me then!

Infertilemillenial · 03/05/2023 13:40

I am also struggling with the early starts and brain fog massively! This tiredness is something else 😓😓

ThomasinaLivesHere · 03/05/2023 15:14

Congratulations to new joiners 🄳

@Wanderlust86 the NHS does offer NIPT testing if your initial tests come back at a certain level- from memory I think if you’re under 1 in 100 chance for Down syndrome, edwards, Patel - but don’t quote me.

@FingersCrossedXXX Good luck with scan - hopefully you’ll feel so much better afterwards.

@RG9895 I had my son during lockdown so I wasn’t around people so never really experienced keeping a secret like this. It did feel weird not to say anything at first but I’m more comfortable with it now.

Welcome to all the new ladies :)

I wish I could afford a nipt scan. I live in NI and they don't even do the NT scans on the nhs here.

I've told 2 friends so far because they've been there for me through ttc for 3 years but we won't be telling anyone else just yet. I'll be seeing my parents when I'm around 9 weeks so I'll tell them then because we live in different countries and I'd like to do it in person.

RG9895 · 03/05/2023 18:23

@Wanderlust86 oh god me too! Will be having mocktails but not quite the same is it haha where abouts are you going?

@tulipsunday thank you!

Congratulations to everyone else that has joint too 🄰

Also is anyone else getting period like cramps? Wondering if its normal...

sashastuck · 03/05/2023 19:18

@RG9895 I had a few from about 11dpo-14dpo. Now I’m still getting feelings in my stomach but wouldn’t say like period cramps. More similar to a nervous belly like tightening, and pinging feelings!

How long do your cramps last? Mine are only a couple of minutes at a time but I’ve seen other women mentioned they’ve had them for an hour, etc x

tulipsunday · 03/05/2023 19:37

@RG9895 yes my lower back is achey. Also a bit crampy around the front. I know I am quite sensitive to hormonal changes as get these feelings a lot throughout my cycle so not too concerned

Wanderlust86 · 03/05/2023 19:49

@CMG92 I haven't had that but I hear that's normal.

@RG9895 I'm going to a wee place called Kalami. We will have a car to get about though. Where are you going?
I've had cramps on and off from the start. They can last up to 20 mins and they feel exactly the same as period cramps. I was getting worried about it but it seems very common according to google. Usually worst at night in bed or after eating.

Twinkles18 · 03/05/2023 20:26

Hey girls can I join? ā˜ŗļø got my BFP on Monday and app is putting my due date as 5th Jan and 4+6days!
this will by my 3rd pregnancy but 2nd baby so fingers crossed all goes well! Had my little girl in March last year 2 weeks early so could end up a Christmas baby šŸ¤

RG9895 · 03/05/2023 21:16

@sashastuck mine are from a few minutes to maybe 15 at a time and when I move they seem to go. So strange! I know they say pregnancy and period symptoms are similar but I didn't realise how similar!

@tulipsunday ah thats good to hear!

@Wanderlust86 that sounds lovely & good idea with the car! Im going to Gouvia. Weathers not looking fantastic at the minute is it haha

Ah that makes me feel better! Mine are the same, I was scared to google!

@Twinkles18 congratulations! šŸ’•

Anyone thats done a digital how long did yours last? I did mine yesterday, I just looked whilst in the bathroom and noticed its died already šŸ˜ž

Twinkles18 · 03/05/2023 21:50

@RG9895 thank you! My clear blue digital only lasted about 24 hours..panicked me until I googled it šŸ˜…

RG9895 · 03/05/2023 21:55

@Twinkles18 glad its not just me! I thought they lasted for months for some reason! Haha

sashastuck · 04/05/2023 06:45

Congratulations @Twinkles18 ā¤ā¤

A826 · 04/05/2023 12:03

Hi Girls, hope it’s ok to join! This is my 1st pregnancy. decided to come off pill in march, didn’t get a period but read this can take a few months. Got my BFP last Tuesday, shocked it happened so quickly! Clear blue showed 1-2 last week so I assume that’s 3-4 weeks as I’ve no period date to go by. So incredibly nervous about MC or ectopic. Have booked early scan end of month. Have self referred to maternity, anyone know how long it takes for them to get in touch? So lovely to read all your posts!

Bims2019 · 04/05/2023 13:02

Congratulations @Twinkles18 and @A826!

@A826 I called my GP on Tuesday and they filled in a referral form, the midwife then got in contact with me yesterday and booked in an appointment for 8 weeks. So hopefully it should be quite quick.

I caved today and bought another clear blue digital test (not taking my own advice), it came up with 3+ weeks so will make myself stop testing now! Have a feeling these next few weeks are going to drag, but trying to enjoy it all and feeling good at the moment 😊

How is everyone else getting on?

Mushroo · 04/05/2023 13:44

@Bims2019 thats great It was so quick. @A826 I’m 6 weeks on Saturday so if I don’t hear back on Tuesday need to follow up with my referral as it says to do that if you don’t hear from them. Hoping it comes through soon!

I was just thinking how we’ve all nailed this in terms of timing if you don’t work bank holidays. The four day weeks when I’m so exhausted is such a treat!

Bims2019 · 04/05/2023 14:05

@Mushroo hope you hear back about your referral soon! It probably varies from place to place how quick they are, it just happened that the midwife only works on Weds. I was told it might take an hour and a half (!) and to go with a full bladder to give a urine sample. Also have to think about which hospital I want to go for, was not prepared for that this early!

You're so right about the bank holidays, it's a godsend! Always love this time of year. How are you managing with the tiredness? I had a good night's sleep last night for the first time in a while and it makes such a difference, then fatigue seems to hit me about this time in the afternoon 😓

sashastuck · 04/05/2023 14:06

Congratulations @A826 yaaay! How exciting! I self-referred a couple of days ago and just received an appointment for when I’m 9 weeks. Does that sound about right? Don’t think I’d be able to handle that wait without the early scan I’ve booked in! X

Mushroo · 04/05/2023 14:13

@Bims2019 it comes and goes, similar to you by the sounds of it. I slept for 9 hours the other night after going to bed at 9:30pm and that definitely helped.

However woke up again at half 6 this morning so I’m shattered. Hoping I get some decent sleep this weekend. My concentration at work is awful. (Hence me posting on mumsnet in the middle of the day).

A826 · 04/05/2023 14:25

@sashastuck thank you! I self referred over a week ago but haven’t heard anything, I’m sooo impatient! Did you continue to test after you found out? I’m trying not to! Hope all goes well with your early scan 🄰

TunnocksTCake · 04/05/2023 14:45

Hi Everyone can I join? Lovely to see some familiar names on here :) Congrats all on your lovely news.
I got my vvfl on Monday PM and it has got darker every day & had a CB early digital positive this morning so finally accepting this might be happening!

This will be baby no.2, we have a 2.5 yo dd and have been trying for 6 months with one CP. Had 3 Mc and one MMC before DD too so super nervous but I know that these forums really helped last time so I decided to take the leap from conception to pregnancy boards!

I am 12DPO today, AF due on Saturday and I think I will feel better next week anxiety wise.
I have got wicked heartburn and nausea today its awful!

Have been reading back and on the topic of drinking Ive got a friends wedding on Sunday, totally not sure how thats going to go. Had the hen do on ovulation weekend and barely drank then so I guess it might be expected.
