I can see one for this so in my excitement thought I’d start one. Due date is 1st Jan for me 😊

I’m 37 and pregnant with no. 2. We tried for 4 months so lucky not too long.

Can I join please. Due 19th January. Most miserable month of the year!!

VioletMountainHare · 18/05/2023 23:47

@Vikki7 thanks for giving me hope!

I thought the same @Mummyme87 it’s definitely in the uterus now so not sure why they didn’t give me any yesterday. Congratulations on the 3+, I got mine on Saturday which is the first time I’ve ever got it so early on. Was hoping for twins but yesterday’s scan confirmed otherwise 🤣

@outinthesun sorry to hear you’re having the same issues. At my fertility appointments they told me progesterone was a simple fix for lots of people so I’m surprised they’re being so guarded about it now.

I'm feeling the same @Lightningrain much more anxious than excited. Think I’m trying not to get too attached too soon this time. My lack of symptoms also makes me anxious although I know they can come and go and it doesn’t necessarily mean anything is wrong. I’ve normally gone off tea but this point but haven’t developed the metallic taste this time.

Thanks @WitcheryDivine it was the Tommy’s page I read last night that said I should have been given a 14 day prescription. I need to phone the fertility nurse about my blood results tomorrow anyway so may ask her as she was the one that first mentioned the progesterone.

Mummyme87 · 19/05/2023 06:27

@Jomummy1013 congratulations. January is a great month. I’m 15th Jan, my youngest is 14th Jan and now next one due in Jan. financial ruin for us but always a lot to look forward to after Christmas

suz2285 · 19/05/2023 07:06

@Valerie94 me too with the cramps, yesterday I felt so crampy I was like well this is it then... but today they have lessened a bit, I googled frantically and I'm hoping it was just a surge or hormones or something!

@sashastuck I have previously had sciatic pain and no real issues for years but every time I get a bfp it comes back! It's something to do with the pregnancy hormones relaxing muscles or joints or something! I def agree the key is to do some gentle movement, stretch, yoga, walking, swimming maybe... but yes sitting down for large amounts of time is what kills mine

LetsGo36 · 19/05/2023 07:15

Hi @cossie13 i just looked at your tracking, if I’m reading it right then I ovulated exactly 2 weeks before you and I only got my 3+ on clear blue 2 days ago. So the 1-2 is probably about right I would think.
i was still getting 1-2 at about the same point as you are. Hope that helps xx

Aaah thank you so much! That is really helpful!

Are your cycle regular normally? Because if they are then I know how many weeks I am and I know when I'm booking an early reassurance scan for šŸ˜‚

LetsGo36 · 19/05/2023 07:24

Yes I am normally 28 day cycle, but the month before I conceived I had a random 31 day cycle with only a 3 day period. My tracking app puts me at 6+2. But that cycle makes me wonder if it’s right? It’s all so confusing lol xx

LetsGo36 · 19/05/2023 07:24

@cossie13 sorry meant to tag you in that last post

Glad it’s not just me! I’m January, both my sons are January-a week apart and now baby is also January.
not my finest planning 😁
on the plus side shared birthday parties take the edge off a bit!

PartRadish · 19/05/2023 09:39

We already have one in January too, New Years Day baby! Plus two in December!

I've just booked a private scan for next Saturday (27th). I really wanted to hold out until 7 weeks at least but I just can't, I'm too anxious. I'll be 6+2 so hoping all being well we should see a heartbeat šŸ¤ž

Vikki7 · 19/05/2023 09:42

I've got a Jan girl too! I've always thought that it's tough to give Christmas presents and then buy a new set for Jan 29th as I've run out of ideas! The due date for this new baby is 4th Jan so it's gonna be even more trouble!

WitcheryDivine · 19/05/2023 10:43

Joining the "freaking out about symptoms" gang this morning as I suddenly slept through the night with no getting up to pee (first time in weeks) and then woke up not feeling sick.

Praying it's just (probably short term) good luck rather than very bad luck.

In the nicest possibly way, I hope you're feeling sick very soon! šŸ™ˆ

Lightningrain · 19/05/2023 11:00

I had an early scan this morning and all looks fine so it’s eased my anxiety a bit. I’m 6w +6 and baby measuring at 6w +5 with a heartbeat. My due date is 5th Jan so another one potentially very close to Christmas.

To everyone else worrying about lack of symptoms (or lessening) symptoms it doesn’t necessarily mean there’s anything wrong as I’ve found out today. I was so anxious waiting to go in for the scan but a big relief when she said she could see a heartbeat.

I’ve just done my self-referral to the midwife so it’s all starting to feel a bit more real now.

sashastuck · 19/05/2023 11:12

@Lightningrain congratulations on your lovely scan! ā¤

Thanks for the advice regarding sciatica. Will keep moving and keep sitting on cushions at work as that seems to help enormously!

I love that so many of you already have Jan babies. I’ve always wanted autumn/winter babies, as myself and my sister are. There’s plenty of happy times in summer when the sun is out so it’s nice to have things to be excited for in the cold and boring months!

suz2285 · 19/05/2023 11:14

@WitcheryDivine honestly there's always something to stress about, i literally cannot help myself. I've been feeling nauseous but the cramps yesterday honestly had me worried, this morning was a bit better but they appear to be on their way again.... it honestly just feels like right before AF is due, hate it!

BUT i got all my blood test results back that I did and my progesterone levels are fine, thank the lord! so all seems to be ok fingers crossed

@Lightningrain that's so exciting, i'm planning to book into an early scan too but was wondering when, I really want to see the heartbeat but I had an early MC earlier in the year and so not sure if i should wait until nearer that time (8 weeks) to make sure he/she is still growing!

WitcheryDivine · 19/05/2023 11:19

Thanks @suz2285 and @cossie13 Star

ThomasinaLivesHere · 19/05/2023 11:34

@Lightningrain Glad your scan was positive and you’re feeling less anxious.

On the topic of birthdays I don’t have any family members with January birthdays although due date is the 1st so quite likely a December baby. Since I’m planning on a c-section I’m trying to work out what the best birthday would be. I’ll try for as late as possible for baby’s development obviously but if I’m given dates around new year I’m trying to work out if it’s better before or after šŸ˜‚.

Salamander91 · 19/05/2023 11:52

I also have a Jan baby already (18th). This one will likely be December because I'll be having a c section. That time of year is already so expensive I would have preferred a summer baby lol but after nearly 4 years trying I'm just happy to have finally conceived. I have my scan booked for tomorrow and I'm so nervous. I should be 7+3 so hopefully we'll see a baby and a hb.

WitcheryDivine · 19/05/2023 12:13

Congratulations @Salamander91 I'm sorry it's taken such a long time to get here, and wish you all the best

WitcheryDivine · 19/05/2023 12:19

Ok a bit gross and I don't know whether this counts as a symptom or not but I can't stop burping, luckily I'm not working with other people!

cossie13 · 19/05/2023 12:38

@WitcheryDivine have you started feeling sick again today or is it just burping? Not gross at all, I seem to be full of wind but the other end!!! šŸ˜‚

@Salamander91 Good luck for your scan tomorrow!

Is anyone else super irritable? I'm at work and we've got a local elderly group hiring one of our rooms and I've found myself getting really irritated at the fact they're stood in front of the door holding it open (I'm on reception) meaning it gets quite nippy in here especially when the sun's not out! Normally I'd just put my heater on and suck it up but today I'm just getting super annoyed!

buckingmad · 19/05/2023 12:39

@WitcheryDivine its been my first symptom all 3 times. I burp constantly but like just in my throat if that makes sense? Doesn’t make a proper burp sound just like a gurgle. I think it’s linked to my heartburn cause I have both or nothing.

WitcheryDivine · 19/05/2023 12:52

Just burping! stupid really.

Sorry you're getting frozen @cossie13 - you can remind them to shut it as the heating bills are high! Older people always understand about the bills.

lucya66 · 19/05/2023 12:59

šŸ™‹šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø here also with the burping. Feel like it’s sitting in my throat a lot.

and if I can’t burp I get bloated and my tummy expands :(
