I can see one for this so in my excitement thought I’d start one. Due date is 1st Jan for me 😊

I’m 37 and pregnant with no. 2. We tried for 4 months so lucky not too long.

@NewMum2024 congratulations!
yes the wait for the scan is horrid I’m finding. I cannot wait 😊

has anyone else got quite painful bloating? I’ve tried peppermint tea but it’s not helping much

tulipsunday · 13/05/2023 19:46

@LetsGo36 not painful yet but yes to bloating. Stomach looks huge šŸ˜‚

PeacefulD · 13/05/2023 19:55

Lots of cramping, headache, dizzy, nausea, it started a bit early at dpo 12, I think last time wasn't so uncomfortable. Glad though that something seems to be happening 😃

buckingmad · 13/05/2023 20:54

@LetsGo36 i had really painful bloating with my first. Am super bloated now but it’s not got painful yet. I found with my first I really fancied kiwi and then later found out kiwi is good for bloat! It didn’t take it away completely but definitely helped. I would have one for breakfast first thing and then have a bigger breakfast about brunch time when I felt less sick (the joys of wfh during lockdown. Won’t be as easy to eat what I want when I want now I’m back in an office!).

Twinkles18 · 13/05/2023 23:00

Has anyone had really really light-pink & clear discharge after DTD? sorry if a bit TMI but happened to me there and of course I’m worrying incase something is wrong

Mummyme87 · 14/05/2023 06:43

The pink is probably just from your cervix, maybe has an ectropian on it, or just been irritated @Twinkles18

Twinkles18 · 14/05/2023 07:46

Thank you @Mummyme87 yeah i think it could’ve just been irritated as it went away straight away and hasn’t came back..ah the worry we put ourselves through šŸ« šŸ˜…

LetsGo36 · 14/05/2023 08:13

@tulipsunday and @buckingmad thank you, ok I will stop worrying about that and will try kiwi!

I find I’m so anxious this time round. I was 19 when I had my daughter and 23 when I had my son and found I never worried about anything. And now I’m 36 I seem to be panicking about everything. Hopefully I can calm down and just enjoy this experience in time
xx

Hi all, hope everyone’s feeling ok today!

just wondered if anyone else on here is a teacher? I’ve really been struggling with nausea the last few days but it’s been so much better this weekend-I think because I don’t have to get up as early and can eat little and often through the day? I don’t have time between lessons to eat anything so I find the nausea is worse and obviously I can’t eat in class! Just wondered if anyone else is experiencing the same and has some advice. Thanks!

Mummyme87 · 14/05/2023 08:27

@Booklover88 what about just having a pack of biscuits in your drawer? Rich tea or something to nibble at?

I’m 17dpo and think I more or less have my dye stealer. Lovely to see the test line come up immediately ā™„ļø

Booklover88 · 14/05/2023 08:28

I don’t have my own classroom so I move between every lesson which is an issue. When I had my own classroom, I think I could have snuck something between lesson changeover but now I’m too busy traipsing round school!

sashastuck · 14/05/2023 08:28

@Booklover88 I’m a teacher too! I’ve not experienced nausea yet but I do think I’ll keep a snack in my pocket and have quick bites between lessons when I can, at break time etc. Could you put a cold ginger tea or ginger ale in a bottle to sip if you’re not allowed flasks?
I am dreading the nausea setting in as I teach KS1 and there’s nothing like a snotty 5yo breathing in your face to make you feel queasy šŸ˜‚

sashastuck · 14/05/2023 08:29

@Mummyme87 beautiful line!!šŸ˜

Booklover88 · 14/05/2023 08:32

I teach secondary so can have a flask-that’s a good idea. 7UP and Sprite are my go to at the moment! I feel for you with KS1-the good thing about teaching teenagers is they don’t want to go anywhere near me!

Ttcdcno1 · 14/05/2023 08:33

@Booklover88 I’m a teacher! I have my own classroom so it’s probably a bit easier but I have a stash of ginger biscuits ready to nibble on if I feel sick. Could you put them in a bag or a pocket maybe for when you’re moving from place to place ?

WitcheryDivine · 14/05/2023 08:36

I’d get one of those titchy Tupperware boxes and put some crackers or biscuits in it. Then scoff from pocket en route. You can keep the packet in your locker or somewhere for top ups.

Mummyme87 · 14/05/2023 08:38

If not in classroom then do the same but carry biscuits in a bag nibbling in between. The nausea and vomming is the worst once it kicks in. I remember running out of rooms, out of someone’s house on a visit once to be sick. Bleugh

Whoisdis · 14/05/2023 09:56

Hey! I found out yesterday I'm pregnant 🄳 tested positive at 12dpo. This will be our first and we've been trying for 5 months! Tested again this this morning with fmu and got darker than yesterday afternoon so that makes me relax a little. Had slight nausea for the last few and tiredness but no other symptoms.

Anyone else here with thyroid issues? I'm hypothyroidism treated with levothyroxine, wondering if gp will get me in to test levels to check dosage with being pregnant?

Mummyme87 · 14/05/2023 10:02

@Whoisdis congratulations! Yes good idea to get levels checked. At your booking appt blood test the midwife will probably check them also

MrsJ6921 · 14/05/2023 10:34

Anyone else just feeling a bit meh? I had the smallest amount of brown spotting yesterday when I wiped and have continued to have sore boobs and waves of feeling nauseous.

I also received my booking appointment confirmation and 12 week scan appointment yesterday in the post. We have a private early scan next Sunday so I’m hoping everything goes as it should as it took us so long to get here.

WitcheryDivine · 14/05/2023 10:45

Felt a bit paranoid this morning so did a test, pleased to see it looking much darker and coming up much quicker than last one a couple of weeks ago. so

Sorry you’re feeling Meh - when I’m not on this thread I just try not to think about it as much as I can (easier said than done obviously).

Welcome @Whoisdis 🄳 and congratulations

Niam4 · 14/05/2023 16:56

@ThomasinaLivesHere thanks for the advice on the early scan. I agree it will probably be more nerve wracking if there’s no heart beat. I think even to know the pregnancy is in the right location will give some ease. Like many other my symptoms are mild enough and seem to come and go. Fatigue is definitely my biggest one. 5 weeks today.

Hopealive · 14/05/2023 17:34

I am excited to be here, I am 4 weeks 5 days. I have been trying for 20 months. I feel very bloated with sore breast. Due mid January, feeling nervous and some days I don’t feel pregnant. Just worried

Hopealive · 14/05/2023 17:35

What supplements do we use, I am currently on folic acid
