I can see one for this so in my excitement thought I’d start one. Due date is 1st Jan for me 😊

I’m 37 and pregnant with no. 2. We tried for 4 months so lucky not too long.

I normally love Diet Coke but pregnancy it takes like metal… still drinking it so far. First baby I craved satsumas and second daim bars šŸ˜‘ could do without a daim bar craving this

RootsHere · 12/05/2023 21:09

Any recommendations for a pregnancy app? Would like to keep track of weeks and days, and any other info is a bonus 😊

xLJ1990x · 12/05/2023 21:13

@RootsHere someone recommended babycentre to me, so I've started using it. Seems quite nice - with what's going on with the baby and with you and different articles to read. There's also a thing to take a 'bumpie' to see it progress

@Mummyme87 how far along were you before cravings started?

Mushroo · 12/05/2023 21:14

@RootsHere im using ā€˜pregnancy+’ and ā€˜what to expect’

What to expect has more info, but I’m enjoying pregnancy+ as it shows you the actual size of the baby each week. Both are free :)

Vikki7 · 12/05/2023 21:35

Thank you ladies! I feel like the luckiest Mama in the world, I was an absolute state coming away from the scan room with tears streaming and laughing at the same time telling the sonographer and my partner that I am pregnant!

Over the past 8 days I tried to forget about it and let God take over until I knew what was going on.

I am also craving salt and vinegar, trying to avoid crisps and instead slicing cucumbers up very thin and covering in salt and vinegar, it's very good!

Ttcdcno1 · 12/05/2023 22:13

@Mushroo yeah I like that about pregnancy+ šŸ‘

Niam4 · 12/05/2023 23:21

Hi guys hope it’s ok to join. I’m due 14tn Jan, currently 4 weeks +5, had a chemical pregnancy in December so nervous but hopeful. Just wondering if anyone knows if I get a 6 week scan will I be able to hear the heartbeat or is it usually later? Also having fluctuating symptoms so that is reassuring to hear too.

PeacefulD · 13/05/2023 00:29

Hi everyone, I'm due 22nd January. Just got my bfpšŸ™ I had a chemical back in February, so really hoping all goes well this time. Dpo 11, so still early days. Based in London. We have a toddler who is just under 2. So excited and happy! (and insomnia!!)

Hope everyone is feeling good. Please shout out if you're due toward mid-end of the month.

peanut2023 · 13/05/2023 02:37

Firstly congratulations
I've just found out I'm pregnant 3 days before my period is due so I'm not due until the end of January
I'm all nervous and scared as it's so so early these next 8-10weeks will drag šŸ˜”šŸ¤¦šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø
This is currently my 3rd šŸ˜…

peanut2023 · 13/05/2023 02:41

Also I've had no symptoms in all my pregnancy's šŸ˜…šŸ˜…

Mummyme87 · 13/05/2023 05:03

Congratulations @PeacefulD and @peanut2023 also my 3rd ā™„ļø

I’ve got dreadful insomnia 😓 eldest woke me up an hour ago and now I can’t sleep. I recall this with my previous pregnancies šŸ˜‘

Buttonmoon86 · 13/05/2023 05:19

Hi all. I’m in a bit of a panic. I’ve woke up this morning and my boobs are no longer sore at all. I’ve read previous posts and it’s a bit if a mixed bag. Has any one experienced this? I am super anxious due to previous mc however I can’t help feeling like it’s happening again.

lucya66 · 13/05/2023 07:14

Hello @Buttonmoon86 I’ve had this sometimes they hurt more than others. Also my sickness/nausea wanes and goes in waves. I think it’s normal?

although this is my first pregnancy so not sure. I’m 7 weeks today.

my strategy is just try not to worry. I’m pregnant until I’m not. Easier said than done, I know.

Mummyme87 · 13/05/2023 07:22

@Buttonmoon86 it’s fairly normal for symptoms to come and go, although I can understand why you’re anxious

ThomasinaLivesHere · 13/05/2023 07:37

@RootsHere Pregnancy app is good as it’s a nice layout and you’ve got the size comparison in the main screen which I like

@Sottishmamaof4 Welcome and congratulations- so sorry to hear about your daughter ā¤ļø

@Niam4 I think the issue with an early scan is often the ovulation date can be later than you think and so the baby isn’t as far along. I’ve read quite a few posts on MN where the woman is panicking that something is wrong and they have an anxious wait for a week before they go back for another scan and find a heartbeat. Obviously this isn’t the case for everyone and you could get a heartbeat so totally a personal decision but something to bear in mind.

Tentatively saying hello after lurking for a few days šŸ‘‹

Surprise pregnancy for us but I found out quite early, roughly 11dpo, because all being well this will be number 4 for us and there is no mistaking that early pregnancy exaustion/insomnia combo kick.

Currently 4+3 (due Jan 17th) and terrified of miscarriage. I had a mmc at 13 weeks before my other children were born but I don't think that fear ever really leaves you. As we weren't trying I've already got a list of things I've done wrong so having grand old time Googling and freaking myself out there too. Think I might be considered geriatric this time round too so thats fun šŸ˜‚

I also have a pretty useless cervix and my babies have gotten progressively earlier with each birth (youngest was born spontaneously at 24 weeks, middle was 32 weeks) so I'm very eager to speak to a consultant and find out if they think progesterone and/or a stitch would be a good idea this time. I've done the online referral thing but I think I might I call in a week or two and ask if I can be referred to the preterm clinic asap. I also want to ask for a referral to the perinatal mental health team because I was diagnosed with PTSD after youngests birth/nicu stay so I think I it'd be a good idea to get some support in place should I need it.

I'll leave you with my 2-3 digi and most recent FRER. I know it doesn't guarantee things are okay but nice to see the progression and hope that it means things are as they should be šŸ¤ž

@RootsHere I just downloaded pregnancy+ app

sashastuck · 13/05/2023 10:50

Congratulations everyone!!! Amazing to see so many of us xx

NewMum2024 · 13/05/2023 14:11

Hi everyone!
Congratulations to all expecting 🄰🄰
Like many others I am tentatively joining this thread.. I have had years of investigations for irregular periods/fertility and was pretty much convinced I would never conceive but by some miracle (after a year without a period) I had my first positive pregnancy test on 4th May. I am so happy but can't seem to shake this doubt and anxiety about something being wrong! I must have done about 30 tests šŸ˜‚ I have had some insomnia and headaches and quite a few cramps but no bleeding. Also been terrible with smells - especially struggling to empty the kitchen bin 🤢 haha.
I have booked an early scan for what I think will be about 7-8 weeks but hard to know with my irregular cycle.
Just wondering if anyone else has had any similar experiences and also if anyone has any tips on how to cope with the constant fear/anxiety?! I feel like waiting for a scan is the longest wait ever!
Thanks xxx

TrudyProud · 13/05/2023 15:41

Finally got my booking in appointment at 9 weeks. No word on my scan yet.
Let the pregnancy games commence!
