I can see one for this so in my excitement thought I’d start one. Due date is 1st Jan for me 😊

I’m 37 and pregnant with no. 2. We tried for 4 months so lucky not too long.

Apologies for double post, first one didn’t appear immediately

sashastuck · 11/05/2023 07:05

@Mummyme87 yaaaay! Fantastic news! ā¤Why am I so scared to do a digi? šŸ˜‚

Mummyme87 · 11/05/2023 07:07

It is scary @sashastuck !!! But when you get the result you want it’s like a massive relief

MimosasInFrance · 11/05/2023 07:15

@LetsGo36 - oh yay! Some how knowing the date makes it all seem a bit more real!

Does anyone have any symptoms yet? I don't have many, a bit of backache, tiredness, and a craving for salad (which I usually can't be bothered with šŸ˜… )

TrudyProud · 11/05/2023 07:20

@Mummyme87 so happy for you! It is such a relief when you see the weeks.

I POAS this morning and got my 3+ weeks. I think I'm 5 weeks today based on LMP. This makes me feel great about hcg rising as once again I'm symptom less. I did notice a spot forming which makes me think I'm having a boy (I had clear skin with my DD) so watch this space! Bring on January 2024

@lucya66 im with you with the nausea and headaches, makes me feel shocking, back at work today after a few days holiday so dreading it! I’m 6+3 so similar to you, only started on Monday with the nausea, up until then just had occasional twinges, insomnia and sore boobs! Hope the nausea disappears soon!

sashastuck · 11/05/2023 07:47

@TrudyProud fantastic result! X

@MimosasInFrance I’m 5+2 and still only sore boobs really. Went off my coffee yesterday but today I’m back on it šŸ˜‚ I am still having shooting pain in my bum cheek though which someone mentioned could be sciatica? Anyone else have experience of this so early in pregnancy? It mainly happens when I stand up after sitting on a chair or on the floor.

loulouhind · 11/05/2023 08:06

Morning all. Found out this week were pregnant and due on the 16th Jan.

Feel odd posting this as our 2 year old was IVF and at that point we were over the moon just to have a child we dearly wanted. Fast forward to October last year and we fell pregnant again. Unfortunately we had to TFMR and she was born sleeping on the 10th March.

We are both so scared of the same happening, we never thought we would fall pregnant again after our first, let alone two months after losing our daughter.

I feel a bit like a rabbit in the headlights. We have an 7 week scan in a month which I’m not going to like about, I am going to be really scared and nervous for.

We were offered a CVS for genetic testing regardless of scans, but now we’re here we are in two minds due to the risks.

My head is scrambled!

SunSparkle · 11/05/2023 11:12

@loulouhind thats such a huge amount for you to take in and be dealing with. Sorry to hear about the loss of your daughter.

would a NIPT test be a less invasive test than a CVS or would it not pick up the genetic testing you require?

thinking of you. No right or wrong way to feel right now.

LivviPanda · 11/05/2023 12:01

Hi everyone, thought I'd better introduce myself after a few days of putting it off. First off congrats to everyone who's here so far!

Found out I was pregnant on Monday. Think I'll be around 5+4. This will be our third pregnancy but second baby. Our first pregnancy ended with TFMR at 16 weeks as baby girl was too poorly to survive.
I'm excited but also pretty nervous because of our first outcome even though DS was born healthy since then.
Trying to put any worries to the back of my mind and just enjoy it but I'll definitely feel better after the 12 week scan

sashastuck · 11/05/2023 12:07

Congratulations @loulouhind and @LivviPanda. Your worries are completely valid and sending you best wishes for your pregnancies ā¤ļøX

Thank you.

At previous 12 week scan we were given 1:5 chance of downs and 1:736 for edwards or patau. After CVS it was all clear.

exome testing found it to be CFC (800 people in the world have it). As the pregnancy progressed she was getting more and more ill.

gebetic testing would rule out petty much everything, but not without risk. It’s a hard one!

Mushroo · 11/05/2023 13:31

I had an ultrasound today coincidently (booked ages ago as had some raised liver enzymes).

All looked good liver wise and the scanner had a cursory look at the baby which was nice! He said there’s definitely something there and looked about right so how many weeks I am.

Not a ā€˜proper’ exam but I’ll take that for now! :)

buckingmad · 11/05/2023 13:40

@Mushroo at this point it's just nice to know something is going on!

My c section scar has been twinging a lot so I'm guessing my uterus is getting into gear and starting to stretch! I'm starting a new job when I'm 10 weeks pregnant so was really hoping I'd be able to hide it for a couple of months but maybe not. I'm normally happy with my flat tummy and small stature but I think for hiding this pregnancy it's going to really screw me over! Especially as it'll be summer, can't hide it under a big jumper.

Mushroo · 11/05/2023 13:48

@buckingmad exactly, I’m just happy there’s something there and it’s not a phantom pregnancy or something!

I think as long as you don’t say anything, people can assume but I’m sure they wouldn’t be brave to say anything just in the case! Stock up on some floaty maxi dresses

Mummyme87 · 11/05/2023 15:36

@LivviPanda and @loulouhind congratulations on your pregnancies, I can totally understand your anxieties, sending all the positivity and hope to you both

Repeat HCG today , 208.. super happy as needed minimum 144 for a double ā™„ļø Tuesdays was 72. Spoke to gynae unit just now and they’ve suggested scan on Tuesday at the earliest, need HCG to be over 1000 to see a pregnancy.

Matildahoney · 11/05/2023 17:31

I've just received a letter for a transvaginal scan, I presume it's because the Dr didn't cancel the request for it when we went private. It's for 2 weeks time by which time I'm 8 weeks, not at the hospital my antenatal care is at and they don't talk to each other, do I keep it and get a cheeky free 8 week scan and play dumb that I didn't know?!

Cocopops03 · 11/05/2023 18:09

unfortunately things didn’t work out for me this time. I started light spotting on Monday 5+2 days which didn’t increase but hasn’t stopped. My bloods come back and my hcg was 97 and Today they have reduced by 30 percent again. I am hoping to join the band wagon again in the near future but in the meantime id like to wish you all lots of good luck on your journeys xxx

RootsHere · 11/05/2023 18:10

Hello all, just got a positive test today, due mid January!!

Its our second baby (2.5 yo girl), but our 4th pregnancy. We’ve been TTC for two years, had a miscarriage at 7 weeks last year so I want to get excited but feeling very cautious too. Eek!!

How is everyone feeling? No symptoms here yet!

Just took my first folic acid tablet, any tips how to remember it every day? šŸ˜‚

Mushroo · 11/05/2023 18:22

@Cocopops03 so sorry to hear that. Hope you’re feeling ok, thinking of you x

Cocopops03 · 11/05/2023 18:30

apart from very light cramping, I haven’t had anything else. I have prepared myself from Monday for the worst and anything else would be a miracle. I am that little bit older being 41 and I knew we have a lot more against us but it certainly hasn’t put us off. This is a hurdle an emotional one I’d say when it hits me, but I’ll hopefully be joining this group again soon xx
