I can see one for this so in my excitement thought I’d start one. Due date is 1st Jan for me 😊

I’m 37 and pregnant with no. 2. We tried for 4 months so lucky not too long.

You’ve made me want to try pilates!

TrudyProud · 10/05/2023 11:44

@buckingmad I totally agree with being fit helping recovery. I had a CS and was walking around the room that afternoon- discharged within in 24hrs. Was walking and pushing my daughter in the bassinet with 48hrs of giving birth.

I did running, weights and Pilates. Doing the same with this baby though won't be running any half marathons as not as fit as I was. Think being active throughout pregnancy then breastfeeding helped drop the weight even though I've not made the healthiest diet

buckingmad · 10/05/2023 11:49

@sashastuck do it! Honestly used to be the fave part of my day. I still do it now but on zoom as it's hard organising classes around toddler and it's not quite as relaxing having a toddler climb over me at the same time but does at least add a weighted element to the movements šŸ˜‚

lucya66 · 10/05/2023 12:35

Hi šŸ‘‹ is anyone else sick yet? I have nausea bad today with a headache and so tired. 6 w 4 d

Bims2019 · 10/05/2023 13:15

Hi @lucya66, I'm 6 weeks today and thought I had a bit of nausea when I woke up this morning. Only the tiniest amount though so I might have been imagining it šŸ˜‚ definitely feeling the tiredness though, I'm struggling to make it through the day at the moment without resting or napping. Thankfully the insomnia has eased a bit now!

Wanderlust86 · 10/05/2023 15:42

@lucya66 I'm 6+6 and have started getting mild nausea in the past few days. It comes and goes in waves. It hasn't been bad enough to put me off food yet.
I'm away on holiday on Friday and I'm hoping it doesn't get worse while I'm away.

ThomasinaLivesHere · 10/05/2023 16:12

So sorry to hear that @BabyAR hope you’re taking care of yourself x

@Lilothblos I use ā€œpregnancy appā€. Green logo with baby feet. I used it for my first pregnancy so it has a nice nostalgic feeling as I remember the different size comparisons (six weeks is a pomegranate seed) but also I like the layout of it.

Anyone going from 1-2 that is crazy emotional about their child not being an only child anymore? On the one hand I can't wait for the sibling interactions as I have very fond memories of growing up with lots of siblings.

But I feel so sad putting my daughter to bed and thinking I might not be able to do it every night if new baby is feeding etc. I'm blaming it on hormones šŸ˜‚literally been tearing up cuddling her to sleep.

MimosasInFrance · 10/05/2023 17:10

Can I join! Due 11 Jan according to my apps, I'm 32 and it's my first pregnancy after IVF :) I still can't quite believe it's true!

Mummyme87 · 10/05/2023 17:51

@MimosasInFrance congratulations!!! How wonderful ā™„ļø

@buckingmad I have two already, I’m anxious about how my eldest would take the news…. Youngest is 5 and asks regularly for a sibling which has been hard. Eldest is almost 9 and when discussed previously he’s been a fan 😬

Mummyme87 · 10/05/2023 17:53

AF was due today, not turned up which is fab. Have bought a weeks indicator but maybe should wait until Friday to do it. HCG needs to be over 153 to get 2-3wks and it was 72 yesterday, double is 144 so need that minimum tomorrow 😬😬

buckingmad · 10/05/2023 18:31

@Mummyme87 im the eldest of 4 with the youngest being born when I was 12 and I was absolutely thrilled when I found out. Hopefully your oldest feels the same!

Babydustthisyear · 10/05/2023 18:40

Hey ladies I went for an early scan today wasn't planned very last minute because I had some shoulder pain and was worried it was a sign of etopic but everything is fine all as it should and at least I got some reassurance 🄰

DearSam48 · 10/05/2023 18:53

Afternoon all, has anyone had an email about signing up for badger notes? It says I need to create and account and use my passphrase from my midwife but I haven't met my midwife or had this information yet. Is this something that happens later?

A826 · 10/05/2023 19:10

@buckingmad i am so happy to read this. For now I’ve made the decision to keep riding my horse too, hoping to get to 12 weeks. How did you find juggling the horse with a new baby? Everyone tells me horse will have to go, I’ll have no time etc but I’m determined to try and make it work x

TunnocksTCake · 10/05/2023 19:50

@buckingmad I keep getting pangs of guilt about this, and feeling so emotional about how big she is now! She's 2.5 and definitely a little girl not a toddler baby any more! I guess this is why people have loads of kids!! 🄺

Im getting close to my due stealer now I thin&c today looked like a peak LH test for me so hopefully next couple of days I'll ger it. Need to get another weeks indicator but for some reason these scare me the most!

Mummyme87 · 10/05/2023 20:04

@TunnocksTCake I did an OPK today for shots and it was sooooo positive, like I never had one that dark before. I’ve done a boots test this eve and it’s almost a dye stealer. Need to start reducing how much I’m testing, costing a fortune

Ttcdcno1 · 10/05/2023 20:11

@DearSam48 I got an email about badger notes at the weekend and then I got a text today with my booking appt date. They gave me the pass phrase in the text šŸ‘

DearSam48 · 10/05/2023 20:14

@Ttcdcno1 ooh so maybe I'll get my booking appointment through soon! That's exciting. I thought I'd missed something. Thanks for reassuring me :)

TrudyProud · 10/05/2023 20:20

Gaagh! Last week I Self referred for my antenatal care. Chased today and they said it could take 2 weeks to respond to me 😭😭😭. I know that's still only like 7/8 weeks so plenty of time but don't like being ignored

buckingmad · 10/05/2023 21:26

@A826 its hard not going to like but it’s doable. I’ve got a connie so she lives out and is an angel whether she’s in 6 day a week work or left for a week. That definitely helps. But at one point she was on kissing spine rehab and I was walking in hand at 6am with a 10 month old before nursery drop off and work and doing the same again after nursery pick up.

it’s one of those things where if you love it enough you’ll make it work. Slightly panicking about doing it with a toddler and a newborn. The newborns are easy! Just pop them in a sling. It’s when they’re walking and have an attitude it gets really hard!

Ttcdcno1 · 10/05/2023 22:10

@TrudyProud ahh that’s annoying! Where abouts are you based?

Ttcdcno1 · 10/05/2023 22:11

I’m thinking about booking an early scan but don’t want to tempt fate by booking it šŸ™ˆ

TrudyProud · 10/05/2023 22:16

@Ttcdcno1 I'm in west London . It's the hospital I gave birth to my daughter so I know they'll get round to me it's just I'm inpatient.

Re early scans it's definitely personal preference. My my daughter I had a few scans as was excited about everything plus because I had no real symptoms other than no AF it kept my pregnancy real until I had a bump to fixate on and kicks to count.

This time I keep going back and forth as to whether I'll have an early or wait for my NHS scan but potentially 7 weeks away feels ages! So expecting I'll cave and book one

Hi šŸ‘‹ is anyone else sick yet? I have nausea bad today with a headache and so tired. 6 w 4 d

I haven't actually been sick yet but felt very nauseous the last two mornings, brushing my teeth was a gamble. I've been a bit headachy too - I really hope that subsides as I got headaches all the way through my first pregnancy, as well as regular nosebleeds. I can't complain too much though as otherwise was plain sailing.

Biggest challenge for me at the moment is protecting my boobs from my toddler who is all elbows, knees and feet 😣
