I can see one for this so in my excitement thought I’d start one. Due date is 1st Jan for me 😊

I’m 37 and pregnant with no. 2. We tried for 4 months so lucky not too long.

I’m hopping on board the January train! I got a BFP yesterday at 9dpo following a chemical last cycle, 19months of ttc, an ectopic 3yrs ago and two boys aged 5 and 8. Very anxious obviously but excited!!
once I’ve missed my period (due Wednesday) I’ll speak to EPU regarding g previous ectopic, and self refer at 5weeks. I’m a midwife so have already chosen my midwife ā™„ļøā™„ļø

suz2285 · 07/05/2023 18:25

@Mummyme87 @Lilothblos was going to ask you two if you wanted to make another chat (away from the Tww chat!) but I see we are all in here šŸ˜‚ welcome!!

Fingers crossed for us all šŸ¤žšŸ¤ž

RG9895 · 07/05/2023 18:59

Hey! Just catching up with the thread ā˜ŗļø

How are you all feeling and have any of you got an early scan booked? Mines in 2 weeks and I cant WAIT. Just want to make sure all is looking okay and its in the right place šŸ¤žšŸ»

I took a nap today and I NEVER nap, how has this started so early on šŸ˜‚

Ttcdcno1 · 07/05/2023 19:01

I’ve not been able to get through the last few days without a nap and I’m only 4 and a half weeks šŸ˜‚

RG9895 · 07/05/2023 19:01

@Ttcdcno1 this has made me feel betteršŸ˜‚ im only 4 and a half too haha!

sashastuck · 07/05/2023 19:43

I’m still waiting for the fatigue to kick in but I really want it to, just to have another symptom haha! Have been having the urge to go to bed at 8:30ish but then won’t sleep until normal time. Waking up early though😩

@sashastuck I'm the same! I haven't had the need to nap so much but feel exhausted by about 7pm but then not falling asleep till 10. I'm then waking up every couple of hours in the night šŸ™ˆ
I want the symptoms to kick in so it feels real. I'm 5 weeks atm :)

Mushroo · 07/05/2023 19:59

I’m 6w+1 and desperate for a bit of nausea or food aversion to kick in! I thought it would happen at 6 weeks but so far no.

I keep reading people who are only eating crackers and water, whereas I just tucked into massive Indian takeaway no problem. Could easily have drank a beer (obviously didn’t). Obviously I’m happy I feel fine physically but it’s not helping my anxiety at all!

All I have is sore boobs and being a bit tired, I want some ā€˜proper’ symptoms to make it feel real.

lucya66 · 07/05/2023 20:00

Yes I napped yesterday and today in the afternoon for half an hour. I’m also constipated and still wake every morning at 4:45/5am.

boobs feel full and in the evening, I have no chat and just want to be alone / silent ahah

TrudyProud · 07/05/2023 21:00

@Mushroo @sashastuck
I'm very tired but no nausea/morning sickness/food aversions etc. because I never had any with my daughter (nearly 13 months old) I don't associate those symptoms with a healthy pregnancy. I'm so happy not to have the symptoms because I love my food and coffee so would hate to give them upšŸ˜‚

I am wondering if I should do another test to check my line progression. Will see how I feel in the morning

Mushroo · 07/05/2023 21:02

@TrudyProud thats really reassuring thank you! As a first timer I’m over thinking everything.

Assuming all is well I’ll be thrilled at lack of food aversion as I too love my food!

RG9895 · 07/05/2023 22:31

Im definitely over thinking everything too, first pregnancy for me as well. I really thought it would all be pure happiness from the get go but it's constant anxiety and worry praying that everything is okay.

I really want to try and relax and just enjoy it but it is hard isn't it! Im still testing every day...line getting darker day by day but no dye stealer yet. Im gonna do a digital in a few days. I really want a 3+ but we will see!

buckingmad · 08/05/2023 06:53

With my first I just felt tired and bloated till about 8 weeks then the nausea kicked in until I was 16 weeks. My friend had no nausea at all. Everyone is so different, try not to worry about symptoms.

Mummyme87 · 08/05/2023 08:16

With both my boys, my nausea and vomiting started at 6weeks until about 26weeks 😣
I’m going to POAS this morning again to check in with my lines which I know we shouldn’t do but there you go. I’ve got an early digital but I’m too nervous to do that yet as I’m still so super early

EL27 · 08/05/2023 08:19

I've just had my first experience of nausea this morning. I'm only 5 weeks 3 days. Is that normal?

I heard it usually starts 6-12 weeks. I'm not usually a nauseous person (only odd occasion ive been hungoveršŸ˜…) but honestly felt like I was going to throw up when I woke up early for work.

I'm worried it'll get worse as the weeks go so does anyone have any tips?

sashastuck · 08/05/2023 08:30

@EL27 I do think that is normal, some people’s nausea unfortunately kicks in at 4-5 weeks! I hope that it was a one off for you though 😘I had one moment of nausea but it was because I woke up at 3am when my partner got home. I got out of bed and it hit me like a ton of bricks - probably due to tiredness?

@Mummyme87 all that nausea for so long must have been so difficult. I’m also too nervous to do a digital! Gonna POAS tomorrow and that’ll be all. One a week from now on x

TrudyProud · 08/05/2023 08:42

@Mushroo it's so easy to overthink especially if you are a first time pregnant (I worried about everything) or unfortunately have suffered a loss.

Things that kept me sane was reminding myself with AF I have a 25day cycle, 3 day light bleed, no pms etc. lots of my friends are pms-ing for a week prior have 5 day bleeds and very irregular cycles I was never worried or concerned that I thankfully had it easier. I was happy to be fortunate. In fact it was feeling "something" in the lead up to my AF date that told me to test for DD and this baby as ideally I feel nothing.
Some people really struggle with fertility - others get pregnant just looking at their partner at 2pm on a Tuesday - they are each no less/more pregnant than the other.

The only measure of a healthy pregnancy imo isn't symptoms/aversions it's the baby that's delivered at the end

TrudyProud · 08/05/2023 08:50

FMU. AF was due 3/5/23 (approx 25 days cycle, no idea when I ovulated as breastfeeding and not tracking) on that day I got 1-2 weeks . 5 days later I get this due stealer and 2-3 weeks on CB ( due date 9/1/24) so happy my pregnancy is moving in the right direction.

I've self referred to the midwife and will be telling DD nursery so they can hold a space for baby proud. Feels real now.

Will likely do a CB next week or just wait till end of May and have an early scan. In the U.K. the nhs (usually) only scans you at around 12 weeks and and that (end of June /early July) feels so far away

How lovely @TrudyProud I’m not brave enough for a weeks indicator

TrudyProud · 08/05/2023 08:57

@Mummyme87 I'm so happy to see you on this thread as we were on TTC threads together. Totally understand why you'd be apprehensive. If you do decide to take a digital we'll be here for you. In the meantime, your lines look great!

sashastuck · 08/05/2023 09:14

Your tests and lines look lovely ladies 🄰 so exciting!

And @TrudyProud that is a lovely way to look at the symptoms thing. What a nice perspective X

sashastuck · 08/05/2023 09:25

@Mummyme87 I just saw your post on a St Helier thread. We must live really close, what are the chances haha! We’ll be having our babies in the same place! Your tests look fab, but I know how hard it is not to feel anxious. X

This is so nice and right! Thank you, that’s helped a lot x
