I can see one for this so in my excitement thought I’d start one. Due date is 1st Jan for me 😊

I’m 37 and pregnant with no. 2. We tried for 4 months so lucky not too long.

Welcome to all the newbies! So nice to see the group growing. I’m taking each day as milestone atm!

Im 6 weeks today so that feels like a big one. I still only have sore boobs, would like a little of nausea or food aversion to make me feel a bit more pregnant. I’m just tired and feel a bit bloated.

Re the early scans, I’m going to hold out for 10 weeks and get NIPT at the same time. I was debating going earlier but it doesn’t guarantee anything and I think if I saw a heartbeat it would feel more real and I’d be more upset if something bad happened. It’s so personal though.

@Flossiepot Im in exactly the same boat. Just me and hubby know and I am dying to share the news with mum. But don’t want to tempt fate. Going to try and hold off until at least early scan at 8 weeks. Nice to know we can come on here for a chat!

Thank you all, I tried a couple of times today and chickened out so I think maybe I'm not quite ready yet. 🙈 Will keep it for just me and the hubby for now and see how things are going in a couple of weeks. Hope you're all doing ok 🥰

Hello all, room for one more? tested positive today after feeling odd for a few days, and rough calculations give me a early/mid January due date.
already have 2DC so this is #3 all being well.

Hi all. Another one due in early January. I believe I’m 5 weeks today and found out on Wednesday.

I still can’t believe it and am constantly worrying about the risk of miscarriage as this is an IVF pregnancy and it’s taken such a long time to get to this point.

I’ve had no appetite all week and really sore boobs so I had an inkling this might be the one after 4 unsuccessful attempts.

I have a scan at 7 weeks due to the IVF so I’m hoping that might put my mind at rest a bit.

@TunnocksTCake with my daughter I had an early scan at 7 weeks. Saw her heartbeat- it was beautiful and made it feel real as I only had light/no symptoms .

This time I'll likely do the same then have my nhs one at 12 weeks.

@TrudyProud the idea of seeing baby so early on the scan just made me well up! That’s beautiful!

Today I’ve noticed something which I didn’t think was pregnancy related before, but now I’ve looked it up maybe it could be? I’m a teacher and the past week or two, if I sit on one of the children’s little chairs, when I get up and walk away I get a sharp shooting pain in my bum cheek😂Anyway today, I sat on the floor at home for about half an hour and I feel like I’ve done 1000 squats upon getting up, just in the one cheek! It’s a sharp shooting pain that has now lasted for the past 2 hours when I move around. Any ideas?!

@sashastuck my husband shed a few tears. It was amazing.

On the bum pain it may be sciatica. Towards the end of my pregnancy I got it. I would use my therogun to relieve it when really bad but fit the most part just breathed through it .

I'm new here- Got my BFP on Tuesday and I'm 4 weeks today. Due around 16th Jan and this is my 1st pregnancy.

I'm still in utter shock as we have been ttc for 15 months.
I've self referred to the local midwife, just wondering does anyone know how long it takes for them to get back to you with a date for the 1st booking appointment?
Super anxious about everything but must remember to take each day as it comes.

@Cheebs i self referred on Thursday and heard back on Friday, they gave me my midwife appointment for 9th June and scan date for 5th July. I guess every hospital is different, but hopefully you should hear back really quickly too xx

with my first it took them weeks to get back to me but it was during the height of covid. This time (I’ve moved since so a different trust) have said chase if I’ve not heard back within 10 days.

I think I'm going to book an early scan as well around 8 weeks, will leave it until 2weeks before though as I'm worried about booking too early.

Does anyone have any tips for dealing with the worry/anxiety of early pregnancy?

I did a weeks test on Thursday morning and got 1-2 which was about what I was expecting, probably just on the cusp of 2-3. Did another today expecting 2-3 and I’ve got 3+! Feel so relieved to see hcg is definitely rising.

Tentatively joining this morning after BFP at dpo 9 and 10... had a MC in feb at 8 weeks so I'm not jumping for joy yet but marking my place hoping all goes ok 🤞

@buckingmad how many weeks are you please? I keep testing, my lines have got darker and yesterday did a clear blue digital hoping for 2-3 but i got 1-2. Also I did the test in the evening do you think that could have made a difference?

@Cheebs im very anxious too, like it hasn’t sunk in, I’ve done so many tests my partner has asked me to stop spending money on tests lol. But I am just going to try and enjoy the experience now.

@LetsGo36 I’m 4+2 so was expecting a 2-3 but think they can be a bit hit and miss. I did fmu both times. I wasn’t really bothered by what it said I just wanted it to have progressed from my initial one.

@Cheebs did you do anything different this cycle do you think?
With regards to the anxiety I ordered a couple of baby books and got stuck into them (one was based around mindfulness) and after that I felt like things were a little more real. I tested quite a bit during the first week and when I noticed a pretty dark line on I think day 6 of BFP, I stopped testing. There’s not loads you can do but ride the waves of anxiety and use a journal to write down how you’re feeling. I also booked an early scan for 7+6 which has helped me feel like I’ll see baby soon. Also it took 2 days from my self referral to get an appointment but they said it would take 7-10 days.

My appointment is also 9th June @LetsGo36 !

Annoyingly I’m getting nausea. I thought it would come but of course it first comes on DH’s birthday when we had things planned 😣. Last time it lasted about a week and that was it. I really feel for women who have it really bad.

@sashastuck We went away for our anniversary and I wasn't tracking ovulation etc, as I said to my husband we'll have a stress free month and just listen to my body if that makes any sense.

Thanks for the advise, I'll definitely have a look at some books. I've told my hubby and sister so far, thinking if I book an early scan around 8weeks I might tell my Mum then.

@buckingmad @LetsGo36 I also did the cb digital at 4+1 hoping for 2-3 but got 1-2. Feeling anxious but the strips are getting darker so trying not to worry as I'm just on the cusp. Also if you think logically if hcg doubles every 48 hours and you have to get 152 (from memory) for 2-3 then that could be a long time if you started with really faint lines on sensitive 10miu tests... hard to think logically though!
