I can see one for this so in my excitement thought I’d start one. Due date is 1st Jan for me 😊

I’m 37 and pregnant with no. 2. We tried for 4 months so lucky not too long.

So sorry to hear @Vikki7 ā¤ļø hope you get some good news xx

Twinkles18 · 05/05/2023 13:36

@AmyLT congratulations!! Double celebrations in your house 🄳being a mummy is the best ever, buying and moving house is a little bit more stressful šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

@CMG92 I’m the same with the boobs lol plus I’m running around after a 13month old so I don’t have a minute to think of if I’m feeling anything..except tiredness and a headache šŸ˜…very true haha we’ll be complaining once they hit I’m sure

TrudyProud · 05/05/2023 14:33

AmyLT · 05/05/2023 10:17

Me too ā˜ŗļø due 5th Jan xx My first baby, my partner and I are still a bit shellshocked but over the moon at the same time! We only just bought a house beginning of April and now I’m 5 weeks pregnant.. new house new baby šŸ˜…

That was me last year. Sold two flats, bought a new family house and had DD.

It's been a hectic 3 years as got pregnant with DD just after our honeymoon so it's been get married, get pregnant, buy and renovate house, celebrate DD 1st birthday, get pregnant again (there will be a 20 month gap between them). 2025 I'll rest 🤣

Flossiepot · 05/05/2023 11:14

I've been worrying maybe I'm having too many symptoms. My stomach was cramping at the beginning of the week, now just have flutters but starting to feel quite sick too and I've been getting hot flushes. Anyone know if this is ok so early on? I do suffer with Crohn's disease so maybe it could be that effecting my symptoms? I'm so nervous about getting too excited and something going wrong šŸ™ˆšŸ˜¢

I've been having hot flashes over night. Don't remember if I had them with my daughter

FingersCrossedXXX · 05/05/2023 15:24

@vikki7 Sorry to hear that. It is tough. I am in a similar situation to you. I had what was brown spotting which turned to red blood. I had an early scan today at what I think is 5+4 due to previous ectopic. They weren't sure they could see anything either. There was a very small blob which could be the gestational sac or could be a pocket of blood. Had bloods taken and now waiting to hear where they are at. Currently a pregnancy of unknown location. Will be in limbo really until I have a second set of bloods on Sunday to compare.

Feel free to message if you want to talk!

sashastuck · 05/05/2023 15:29

@Vikki7 and @FingersCrossedXXX I’m so sorry about what you’re both going through. Sending you all the strength and love to get through it and will say a prayer for things to work out for you xx

Wanderlust86 · 05/05/2023 16:13

@FingersCrossedXXX @Vikki7 I'm so sorry to hear about your scans. I hope you both have good news at the next ones xxxx

CMG92 · 05/05/2023 16:41

@FingersCrossedXXX @Vikki7 so sorry to hear the uncertainty your both going through, sending hugs xx

FingersCrossedXXX · 05/05/2023 18:39

Thank you ladies.

My HCG levels came back okay but my progesterone is low (only at 12) which likely means it will not be viable and will either be ectopic or miscarriage. Typically the bleeding seems to have stopped today as well so I don't know what that means.

I wish you all the best of luck in your pregnancies xxx

M2B269 · 05/05/2023 19:57

Hi everyone!
Got my positive on Tuesday..
I am around 4 weeks 4 days which works out I’ll be due 8th Jan!
i have been feeling very anxious since finding out hope that’s a normal feeling and it eventually wears off.
I have no kids as yet so this will be my first
😊

EL27 · 05/05/2023 20:05

Hello!! I'm new joining too.

Similarly this will be my first. First positive after over a year of ttc. App says im 5 weeks today, due 6th January. So feeling anxious but also excited 😊

Congrats everyone, feeling not as alone after reading your posts and it is comforting to share this news as only me and my fiance know so far!

sashastuck · 05/05/2023 20:23

@FingersCrossedXXX love and hugs to you xx

Welcome @EL27 @M2B269 !! Congratulations! @EL27 I had major anxiety the first few days too, it did ease but perfectly understandable why you’d be feeling like that. Sending best wishes to you both Xx

Has anyone else’s mood been a little grouchy/off? I feel fine at work but then I come home and my poor partner gets something like the PMS version of me. Tired and in bed by 8:30, a bit sensitive, no libido (which I think is 100% normal in the first trimester right?)… I feel for him this week!

TunnocksTCake · 06/05/2023 07:18

@FingersCrossedXXX and @Vikki7 so sorry to hear your struggles. Sending huge hugs.

I am now 14dpo and period due date so feeling super anxious to get through this milestone... lines still getting darker so that helps ease the anxiety for a little while each morning. Also nauseous first thing before I eat and absolutely knackered! Boobs aren't as sore as with my first which was making me feel worried but apparently that's normal second time around... they do feel buoyant for want of a better word! šŸ˜…

I should know this from my first but when is the best time to get an early scan if you want to see heartbeat?

lucya66 · 06/05/2023 07:53

Congrats everyone! @sashastuck yes that’s the same as me, in the evenings I have barely any patience. I think it’s the fatigue? I can’t hold conversations and just want to be quiet. Like I feel introverted?

My libido has gone too! After all the ttc, I’m afraid to dtd now.

Flossiepot · 06/05/2023 08:30

Morning all, I'm feeling so emotional again today 😢 Has anyone told anyone other than their partners? My DH is really good at taking care of me but just feel like I need the support of my mum or my sister but am I tempting fate by telling them too early? This is my 1st so all overwhelming and completely new to me!

buckingmad · 06/05/2023 08:34

@Flossiepot i told my mum at about 6/7 weeks with my first. My DH was away with work and I was on my own and needed someone to talk to who had been through it and could say what was normal.

We didn’t tell anyone with our pregnancy in feb and I then lost it and we had to break the sad news to close family with no happy side. So this time we’ve told parents, siblings and grandparents straight away. I don’t see any harm in telling people that you would tell about a miscarriage if it did happen.

sashastuck · 06/05/2023 08:34

@TunnocksTCake Well I’m assuming period didn’t come, you made it through the milestone!! I’ve done some reading around the early scans (anyone correct me if I’m wrong) and I think it’s possible for a heartbeat to be seen from after 5 weeks but you’re safer to wait until about 7 weeks to avoid any confusion/worry. My scan is for 7+6 x

@lucya66 glad it’s not just me! I’m definitely feeling more introverted too! Been enjoying just chilling out in bed alone when usually partner and I are inseparable!

sashastuck · 06/05/2023 08:38

@buckingmad that’s a different perspective to think about. I bet seeing their delighted faces this time made you even more glad you told them! šŸ˜

I’ve got a family wedding when I’ll be 10.5 weeks, debating in my head whether to tell them then as I won’t be drinking and potentially could have a bump? It’s not as easy decision @Flossiepot but if you want support around you then do it. Ultimately your choice and would be lovely to be able to talk openly about it xx

Ttcdcno1 · 06/05/2023 08:55

@Flossiepot I’ve told my best friend and someone at work because I need someone to look out for me šŸ˜‚ DH doesn’t want anyone to know but he knows I’ve told my closest friend. I need someone to talk to whereas he’s quieter and goes through it all in his head. We’re not telling parents this time until the first scan after last time with my chemical. I was trying to tell my mum about it ending but she only heard the first part and started celebrating which didn’t make it any easier

AuntFlosmiserableniece · 06/05/2023 09:11

Hello ladies, please can I join? I got my BFP today and my Flo app is predicting due date as 16 January. Tentatively very, very excited - I’m 37 and was terrified that I’d left it far too late.

ThomasinaLivesHere · 06/05/2023 09:21

So sorry @FingersCrossedXXX and @Vikki7 . Hope you’re taking care of yourself.

@Flossiepot I think it’s fine to tell people who will be supportive early especially if you’d want to tell them if something did go wrong.

@AuntFlosmiserableniece Congrats! I’m 37 too 😊.

Happy wkend everyone congratulations new joiners. It is so personal isn't it who you tell and when. Don't think anyone should feel pressured to keep it secret if they don't want to it is a big thing. I don't regret telling the people I told before I miscarried as I appreciated the support. Think will tell my parents a bit later on this time though - perhaps when it's my mum's birthday mid June.

Up again at 5 something. Continuing to have achey hips and lower back hopefully just the hormones and everything stretching.
