We just had our 32 week app and placenta has moved massively thankfully! It was reassuring reading your message @BCxx as they had mentioned a follow up scan at 36 weeks if it hadn’t moved, luckily not needed this time.

@Rowanandremy ouch! Sorry to hear little boy is on the move and making you uncomfortable.

We found out today that baby is a little
girl, the sonogapher was 99.9% sure but did say it’s was a bit tougher as baby gets bigger / squished !:) I just bought our first pink outfits 🥹

is anyone suffering with lightheadedness and nausea ? I’m meant to be taking iron supplements but they made me feel so terrible I haven’t been. Not sure if it’s linked to low iron.

@LS888 @DesertSnow @BB1993 thank you! He has been transverse more times today than not and when he hasn’t he’s been moving to get back in the transverse position. He’s a little monkey!

We had a phone consultation booked for the home birth team, recommended by my
midwife just in case, which was very interesting and really put dw at ease in case things go that route - not that it’s looking overly likely at the minute!

@BB1993 That is such good news! And no doubt a massive relief for you. Congratulations on your little girl!!! So exciting and one of the things we loved about knowing was being able to buy specific outfits (we won’t talk about the fact that we might have bought too many😂)

@BB1993 ah a girl 💕 congratulations! And also such brilliant news re your placenta moving.

I’ve been a bit lax taking my iron too although the liquid one is easier on the stomach than tablets. I’ve been feeling nauseous even on days I’ve not taken the iron - I think it might just be everything getting more squished and having less room for all my organs!

@BB1993 aw great news! It seems once your bump starts to get really big and it all stretches a bit more in there there’s more chance of it moving up. I think the odds are 80% or something move in time!

have you checked your blood pressure or is it usually on the lower side? Mine is and I was below the 90/60 the other night multiple times after checking it because I had a sore head and had been dizzy. I’m way more sick feeling on the days I take the iron tablets and they didn’t used to bother my stomach too much but have noticed they upset it now too shortly after taking them 🙄 just think.. this will all be a distant memory soon 😂

One lady at a toddler group told me to take orange juice with the iron vitamin and i might feel less sickly afterwards. So far so good on days when I've had and drunk some juice.

Not sure if the two are really linked but worth a shot if you arr on iron tablets.

@Paintandpots it actually says that on a poster in my hospital. I remember from years ago though that you need vitamin D to be able to absorb iron so I think it’s partly to do with that. It says they’ve to be taken on an empty stomach but I need to eat the second I’ve taken them or id definitely be sick!

Baby boy born 20/6/23 4lbs 9oz at 33+5 planned c section! It's been a whirlwind of a few days. Baby boy doing great in NICU off c pap breathing on his own today and under light therapy to monitor bilirubin levels. Can't believe after 10 years of wanting to be a mum I have a son! 💙

Wishing you all the best for the last few weeks of pregnancy and safe deliveries.

I hope your having the most wonderful baby bubble! Sounds like he's doing fantastic! 💙

It's been a tough few days especially when your separated from them and not having that instant 1st cuddle. Hopefully will get a cuddle later today and finally get to soak up that newborn bubble. I'm on a postnatal ward and hear all the other babies cry and you just want to be with your baby. The 1st baby born on the thread 🐻, we have named him Luca 💙 the Bringer of light after waiting 10 years on him. Our little miracle baby. Xx thanks for all the well wishes

Does anyone have any knowledge on mattresses? I need a replacement mattress for the chicco next to me crib as we were given it second hand from my SIL. Do we need a chicco one? Or will any with the correct measurements be ok? We also need a new cotbed mattress for a second hand cotbed given to us by a friend. I do still have a £100 voucher for mamas and papas after buying our travel system from there. Any tips/help appreciated!
