Ah thanks! Yep this is our first so all new to us! It was really sweet of the sonographer to ask if we wanted her best guess - I assumed they never offer this early but she said that she was as sure as can be for 13 weeks so thought she'd ask

It's £5 a picture here officially but she gave us four different ones for that price instead of charging us per picture was was nice of her.

@LR94 11 weeks+2 and nausea has been awful the past 2 weeks. I threw up today at the park 🫣

I thought I was the only one who has mixed feelings about scans. I found my first ever scan pic weird and creepy so my SIL did a little photo editing on it for me. It now lives it's best life as a fridge magnet.

@LR94 mine is slowly getting better now at 14 weeks but I threw up in an airport bin last week. Not my finest hour.

I was also little disappointed with the quality of our 12 week scan pics but to be honest before getting pregnant myself I always struggled to see much in other peoples scans so not sure why I was surprised it was any different in my own 😂.

@iloveeggs @Alexandra07 @cruciverbalista thanks ladies, I think I just kind of went into ‘got to get on with it mode’ but my husband was angry enough for both of us and I did have a little frustration cry earlier. Anyway had the bloods redone this afternoon (the nurse stayed in clinic during her lunchbreak to do them) and have been reassured she would take personal responsibility for making sure they got to the lab same day and she would follow up by phone with them to ask if they can be expedited. So can’t really ask for more than that. Just keeping everything crossed for good results now.

Finally told our family and friends last night, lots of surprise and comments about how we're clearly crazy but everyone very happy 😂

I've learnt my lesson from DS2 and have been vague about my EDD and said end of October to avoid the well meaning but frustrating texts asking if baby is here yet if I go overdue too...there was nothing worse than feeling enormous, hot and fed up then getting a text reminding me that I was still pregnant!!

Is anyone else cramping? I'm 14+2 today and for the past few days I've had what I can only describe as period cramps. Logically I'm telling myself it's just everything stretching but every little thing is so nerve wracking with it being my first pregnancy

@firstlittlefrazzleontheway cramping was major up to week 10 (ish) and then has been on and off for me. Currently 15+1 and it still randomly comes back. There's nothing quite so disconce as feeling like you're about to come on your period!

@Needtobuildabridge I know it's such a weird feeling! My next midwife appointment isn't until I'm 18 weeks which is 10 weeks after my booking so it feels like a lifetime away

@firstlittlefrazzleontheway I woke up with quite sharp period like cramping in the middle of last night. Felt like cramps you get on day 2 of a period and right in middle of lower abdomen. Lay there thinking that surely this shouldn't be happening and it did slowly ease off. About 10 minutes later the cause (atleast what I hope was the cause) revealed it itself....erm...gas. Slightly disconcerting though to randomly happen in the middle of the night and I am not usually one for trapped gas.

Could you be suffering a bout of the same?

Anyone else on the end of Oct due date train feeling like time is moving soooooo slowly seeing all the scan pics and knowing yours isn’t here yet 😭

And yet again I've got pink spotting. Honestly this pregnancy will be the biggest load of anxiety I'll ever have.

@DSP21 Yep end of October due date here! Only just 12 weeks pregnant. Time seems so have slowed right down 😆😆

Yep! 12 weeks, no 12 week scan yet, though NIPT sorted me out on feeling like nothing is happening.

I'm due at beginning of Oct and still feel like time is crawling! Seems to be going much slower than my last pregnancy!

Unfortunately sad news for me today 😞 Scan at EPAU after some spotting. Little bean stopped growing at 7wks 5days. Feeling very sad that I've been carrying them round for a month not knowing... Really sorry as I know this is horrible to read for anyone feeling a bit anxious etc. I wish you all the very best for happy healthy pregnancies and gorgeous babies later in the year. ❤️
