Getting close to 4 threads filled - here's number 5!

Anyone booked a private 16w gender scan?

I booked mine once dates were confirmed at the 12w scan.

@AlongcameLainey just booked mine now for when I’m 16+3. So excited and a nice excuse to see baby again x

We did the same with my little girl. It’s such a lovely experience. So different to the NHS ones x

@AlongcameLainey I also booked mine for exactly 16 weeks! I’m going to window to the womb. We’re not doing a gender reveal or anything but we do want it to be a surprise for us, i think we’ll get a little teddy with the coloured nose and maybe just record us opening it. Not for anyone to see but just a nice memory for us xxx

@LR94 ahh that will be a lovely memory for you to create and a lovely keepsake too.

We had a gender reveal with my little girl but we’re not keen on one this time. I think we are just going to let them tell us at the scan as my little one will be coming with us (she is almost 3) so it’ll be nice for us to all find out together x

@LR94 no clue. Initially I was adamant it was a boy but now I’m not too sure.

This pregnancy is very different to my first so that was making me lean towards a boy I think.

Cant wait to find out though. What date is you scan booked for? Mine is on the 2nd May x

I just thought, my due date is 16.10 but as I'll almost certainly be having an elective c section, it'll be even sooner than that!

We are holding off telling family so we can use this (it's 4th grandchild for both sides)

I've got a private gender scan booked for the 14th for DH and DD to come too as we really want her there and she isnt allowed in the NHS ones.

I am thinking this one is a boy, just had this strong feeling and pregnancy is a bit different to last time. I know that doesn't necessarily mean anything, but I e already started looking at cute boy outfits 🙈

Hi everyone congrats on all those with scan news! Feeling really weird today, not sure why. I've had 3 scans and all has been good but next one isn't until end of May and time is really dragging, I'm starting to worry if everything is ok. I have no reason to think it isn't, I guess it just feels so long until the next scan. And I know it's stupid but I'm starting to worry about the fact my bump hasn't grown since it appeared at 10 weeks! Probably just an off day and will feel ok tomorrow.

nervously waiting for NIPT results, it's going to take nearly 2 weeks over the bank hols. Feels like forever!

@OrionNebula I'm feeling the same, we have our scan on Friday and I just want it to be today. Just feel worried and anxious.

@LR94 i don’t know how to explain but that last scan you posted said girl to me. Not because of nub but moreso cos it looks to me like its legs are opened ? Am I seeing things or is that how they’re sitting? how exciting ? I tried to look at my nub in my photos but pics are all diff. I have another scan next week, hopefully more clear. However I won’t be finding out, but it’s fun to guess isn’t it? X

@NSx i think its legs are up in the air but its so hard to tell! Haven’t got long to wait until my gender scan, only 4 weeks, that will fly by! Xxx

Does anyone have a Doppler?

Or has anyone used one before?

Girl on my Facebook uploaded using one, but I'm not to sure about the ultrasound levels being damaging?

@VictoriaBlossom I've heard they may cause more anxiety than anything, hard to use etc. Don't think I could do it to myself.

I've such a sore throat, does anyone have any good remedies? usually I'd take some soluble solpadiene but that's a no go.

Congratulations to everyone who had their scans!

Did anyone have their 12 week scan at 11+6? Based on my last period I'll be 12+1 at my 12 week scan. Based on my last private scan 11+6 and based on my ovulation 11+4. In my letter it says that the 12 week scans are not done before 11+6. Has anyone been in similar situation? Did they manage to check everything at the appointment or you were asked to come back?

@VictoriaBlossom it was one of the first things the midwife told me not to buy actually! Notoriously unreliable.
