@Babybaby66 yep they gave me gas and air.

firsttimelondonmummy · 04/05/2023 19:43

@FLA92 my little one hiccups most days.
He was hiccuping last week when I went for a monitor as he changed positions and movements and she didn’t believe me.
Popped the monitor on and was like oh yes he has hiccups 😂

BobbySD345 · 04/05/2023 20:30

@FLA92 atleast 3 times a day ! I feel sorry for her when she gets them !

Mummy2Girls22 · 04/05/2023 20:31

@FLA92 yes lots of hiccups here too, my 2 girls were the same when I had them and they always seemed to get them at the same time when they were born 🥰

toomanysausages · 04/05/2023 21:52

Yes to hiccups @FLA92 !! I have felt them once a day for the past three days - they feel like little pops - so cute!

Hlc86 · 05/05/2023 08:37

Lots of hiccups here too, at least 1 a day for the last week I would say 😅

Belami · 05/05/2023 11:23

Has anyone else's belly done that thing where baby is pushing out on one side? Was freaky to see last night 😂 can't believe I'm 35 weeks today !!! Hope you're all doing well. One of my friends has just had a planned section and I feel a tad envious that I don't know when baby will be born , it must be really nice to know a day etc.

Ally1992 · 05/05/2023 11:29

@Belami yes my little one does that all the time it really freaks my partner out 😂

Yep he does this all the time. I love when I catch it on video! Such a lovely special feeling (albeit it’s been accompanied by a few ‘ow ow ow’ by mummy lol). I’m hoping to get date for my section at consultant appointment on Thursday!

Belami · 05/05/2023 12:02

@Ally1992 ❤️☺️

@Mamma2bee ooo amazing!! I'm well jel haha xx

Kelvie103 · 05/05/2023 15:42

Baby was making up for his quiet days by spending all last night kicking my cervix. It was so painful! Hardly slept and think I woke my husband up once going ow. He did that a few times in the 2nd trimester but it just felt wierd then not painful. Convinced he's now breech as still not feeling much if any movement up high but he's been quite wriggly low down so I think that's ok as long as he's moving.

Ally1992 · 05/05/2023 16:03

Anyone else finishing for maternity leave soon? It's my last day today and I had a little cry, more because it's becoming very real now!

Funfamilytimes · 05/05/2023 17:03

@Ally1992 yes! My last day today too. Just got home and the team were so lovely to me. Going to be very weird not seeing them for a year 😞

Zaalfruit · 05/05/2023 17:25

My last day too and I was too unwell to go into the office . So been crying all day - I love being on maternity leave but sad that I won’t be part of work. Being at work sometimes just feels so fresh and having a laugh with my team is such a nice way to not be a mum 24/7 .

Ally1992 · 05/05/2023 18:38

@Funfamilytimes and @Zaalfruit I feel the same, I’m looking forward to having my little boy but feel sad that I won’t see my team for a while, they were all so nice as well and kept telling me once he comes it will fly by and I’ll forget all about them!

rllrsk8 · 05/05/2023 19:13

Yes to the belly over to the side thing, I have so many failed video clips trying to record it, and a few where I did! I'm 36 weeks today, and I'm really excited to meet our little munchkin, but kinda going to miss the little party the two of us have been having for the last 8 months!

I have 8 days left at work and so much to do, want to leave everything all nice and wrapped up but think some things are going to have to drop off! I'm going to miss my team and job, but looking forward to the new challenge so much.

BobbySD345 · 05/05/2023 20:05

@Ally1992 I finished last week. I had Tuesday and Wednesday this week child free and in between nursery drop offs I didn't know what to do with myself ! I napped twice and did housework, watched MAFS. It was amazing 👏

DrinkingAllTheGin · 05/05/2023 20:17

I've got 3 days next week, finish on Friday.
As much as I am going to miss my team, I am ready to turn off all my alarms!

MrsFloraPoste · 06/05/2023 07:01

Has anyone else had to take rings off? I think it happened at about this point in my last pregnancy.
Was congratulating myself on not having swollen fingers so far, then woke up this morning with sausage fingers. 😣

BobbySD345 · 06/05/2023 07:24

@MrsFloraPoste I'm waiting for this to happen to me as it did last time also ! I ended up going to have them re sized because I'm sure it was around 32 weeks and I couldn't not wear them until the baby was born. And then went back around 5 weeks after he was here and had them put back again. The guy thought I was mad haha.

MrsFloraPoste · 06/05/2023 07:28

I just put mine on a chain and wore them round my neck last time. Think I got them back on about a fortnight after birth or something like that.
My sister’s rings never went back on, she didn’t want to get them re sized either so she’s just become ringless since having children.
Well done you for making the effort!

Mistymeow · 06/05/2023 09:03

I got my c section date through the post 😦was a bit taken aback but was very nice to know! It also contained everything I needed to know about the procedure and the hospital stay including what to pack in my hospital bag. Looks like I will be finishing work on the Friday and having the baby on the Monday so that will be fun! I have a terrible maternity package so didn’t want to start leave early.

Out of interest, if you don't mind sharing... how long before your due date have they booked you in for? Mine is 2 days but I'm sure the midwife said it's normally a week?

Zaalfruit · 06/05/2023 21:29

Ooh so exciting to hear that a lot of c sections are getting booked in.

Had a very disappointing appointment today with the midwife and consultant they have decided I can’t give birth in the birthing centre as I require extra monitoring during birth . So no water birth for me - and the hospital atmosphere is just so dreadful the birthing centre everyone seems so nice and cheerful . Really sad about it had a big cry. ( Extra monitoring due to reduced movements throughout pregnancy)

BellaTheDarkOverlord · 06/05/2023 21:46

Hospital told us today dd2 might come home this weekend! We're so excited and spent all day today tidying and cleaning. Will get the crib set up ready and get pram down from loft. Car seat already in the car. She will be coming home with feeding tube still in but they are going through scenarios tomorrow of what to do if it goes wrong and will come out every few days to check and weigh her. We already have been feeding her in hospital. She's now 5 weeks old and would be 34+6. Currently 4.47lb. Here she is doing a weird pose 😁
