I haven't seen one of these yet for December so thought I'd start one!

I'm due 1st December with hopefully a little rainbow.
I'm on cyclogest because I had 2 losses in the latter end of last year (October and december) at 6 weeks and 10 weeks.

Fingers crossed for lots of December babies!

Thanks again everyone! ❤️

I also have a C-section scar... Didn't even think about that being a thing... Another thing to worry about 🤦🏻‍♀️🙈😅x

HasBean7 · 10/04/2023 15:21

@PhyllisVance23 Also 6 weeks and also got a 10 month old too! We must be mad 🤣 Not looking forward to when first trimester symptoms really kick in and I'm having to chase my DD around when all I'll want to do is sleep!

TTCTeacher · 10/04/2023 15:26

So, I think I’m 6 weeks today and this is my first pregnancy.
I’ve woken up today feeling like I have a lump in my throat, which is making me feel incredibly nauseous - does anybody who’s gone through this before have any tips for easing this feeling?

TTCing · 10/04/2023 15:31

Welcome @Rainbowdust557, congrats!

@HannahLouD i completely understand your anxiety and it sounds very similar to my own! I do actually think your lines are continuing to get darker, even in the last 5, it’s just not as noticeable now as they’re so dark!

if you can, I think it’s best to hold off until 8 weeks minimum. As even if all looks good at 6 weeks, there’s still quite a high-ish chance something could still happen in terms or miscarriage. I think waiting until 8/9 will help alleviate your anxiety the best as the chances of miscarrying after seeing a healthy baby/heartbeat around this amount of weeks is much much less x

SMG1992 · 10/04/2023 15:38

Hi ladies,
id like to join I had a bfp Friday and darker again in Sunday - I think I’m 14/15 dpo today and am waiting on the clear blue date tests to take one of them too
i had a MMC in January and found out at the 12 week scan so although I’m over the moon to be pregnant again I’m feeling very nervous about the next couple of months
I hope everyone is feeling well, I’ve not had any symptoms yet but I know it’s early days x

SMG1992 · 10/04/2023 15:39

Also I think this makes me due around mid December but my cycle was a bit all over the show since the mc so I’ll try to get an early saying scan x

99SR · 10/04/2023 15:49

I got my BFP yesterday. Don’t think I’m due until around 19th Dec based on the calculator. I also had a MMC last November so trying to remain calm and not get carried away until I have it confirmed. Nerve wracking doing it again when all you can think about it the previous loss isn’t it?
also I went for a spa day yesterday and had a massage with essential oils which I’ve since found out isn’t recommended (done a test on Thursday that was negative so didn’t think I was pregnant yesterday until the evening). Do you think everything will be ok? I’m 4 weeks exactly today. Please help put my nerves at ease ladies x

PhyllisVance23 · 10/04/2023 15:53

Ahhh wow @HasBean7, you'll be my mumsnet pal on this for sure! 😂🙂

Hey.... you weren't in mumsnet group babies due June 2022 were you?x

Moriquendi · 10/04/2023 16:05

@HannahLouD Oh no!! I didn’t mean to increase your anxiety, I’m so sorry!! Was your first c-section planned or emergency? Mine was emergency followed failed induction. I’m hoping for a VBAC I think, though that’s ages away! If they will even let me as my first baby will only be 22 months in December and I have heard that some trusts like 2 years between babies for a VBAC?

I found induction and the whole hospital experience absolutely awful so think I’m more calm about the start of pregnancy than I will be by the end when we get to December 🫣

Pitstop1986 · 10/04/2023 16:06

@99SR a massage at this point won't have done any harm. It's actually safe to have massages in the first trimester, therapists don't offer massage because they're not covered by insurance for it.

Because the chance of miscarriage is greater earlier on, if you got a massage then miscarried, it's hard to say what caused the miscarriage, so it's just to cover themselves. There are certain acupressure and reflexology points that connect to the womb that in a pregnancy massage you have to avoid/go lightly on, but I think you'd have to go seriously hard into them for a long time- think sports massage, etc for it to do anything. To put it into perspective- I was pummelling the points in the last 2 weeks of my pregnancy with my daughter to try to bring labour on, but didn't do a thing!!!

HannahLouD · 10/04/2023 16:13

@TTCing thank you for message! And thank you for your insight into early scans. I think I will see if I'm still pregnant at 7 weeks and go from there... I think you're right, I'd feel much more reasurred seeing a heartbeat at around 8 weeks.

@Moriquendi haha no it's fine! Mine was also an emergency. Went in at 37 weeks with reduced/no movements and after a bit of monitoring they got her out pretty quick! It's never ending nerves and here we go again! 😅
I'd love a vbac this time too! My daughter turned 5 last week so it's defo been long enough for me 🙈😅

HasBean7 · 10/04/2023 16:21

@PhyllisVance23 Yes!! DD was due 3rd June and came two days early. I only posted occasionally but absolutely loved reading the threads. Every time I had a new symptom I'd go on and half the ladies were talking about the exact same thing 😅

PhyllisVance23 · 10/04/2023 16:32

@HasBean7 ahh wow! Small world! Are you on our Facebook group? It's me, Beansprout 🥲 emosh....

How are you finding it this time round? we weren't even trying! So shocked still! I was hoping to get rock hard abs before getting pregnant again (laughs). x

Emlo1996 · 10/04/2023 16:33

I just had a wee and had some tiny little spots of yellow discharge on the paper when I wiped.. only a tiny trace of it but I’ve never seen that before! Has anyone else ever experienced that?

Alexis7890 · 10/04/2023 17:59

What level of cramps is normal? No bleeding but some cramps yesterday and today have felt quite strong it’s hard to believe something could survive them and won’t end

CherryGiraffe · 10/04/2023 18:09

Is anyone else experiencing fluctuating symptoms? I’m 5+3 (first pregnancy) and my only real symptom (aside from some cramps/pulling sensations) is really sore nipples. Woke up today panicking as they didn’t really feel sore anymore, although as the day is going on the soreness is coming back. Never thought I’d welcome sore nipples so much!

PhyllisVance23 · 10/04/2023 18:24

@Alexis7890 I've had period cramps since before I decided to test, I even used a hot water bottle and put a tampon in because I thought AF was on it's way. Nothing happened so I tested, BFP. I still have intermittent cramps 10 days later - currently they've been almost persistent for 24 hours. It makes me anxious too but I remember it was the same for my last pregnancy (last year, I have a 9 1/2 month old!).

I also have spotting, pink, orange, brown, rust.

Try not to worry xx

RebeccaMabel · 10/04/2023 19:13

Hello!

This is my very first Mumsnet post and I’m really excited to chat with others who are due in December - especially as it’s too early to tell anyone IRL.

I had my first positive pregnancy test on Saturday and confirmed it with a second one this morning.

Very nervous/happy as it’s my first pregnancy, it happened pretty quickly after coming off the implant, and I’m definitely at the older end of things at 37.

As far as I can work out I should be due on or around the 17th of December.

Would love to hear how folks are feeling about their first antenatal appointments. I’m going to give the GP a call tomorrow and see what’s what for this early on. Completely clueless over here!

Hi Rebecca!

I was just about to find a thread to join to literally write the same thing! Due 17th December according to calculator and had my first ever BFP yesterday 😍 I am so excited to become a mummy! I am 29 and have been trying for a few months so it's all very exciting!

Massive congratulations to you! Did you have any symptoms in your TWW?

hellobanana · 10/04/2023 19:34

Also hello everyone else! Had the tiniest fleck of brown in my cm for 3 days (only noticing because I am looking so hard hahahah) and did have tender breasts from ovulation (normal for me even when period arriving). Looking forward to ringing the GP this week but want to get a BFP on a digital first! Is having a bit of colour in the cm normal in the coming weeks or should I be nervous for any colour?

Any advice greatly appreciated as first timer! Also I don't know if I'm just tired but my memory today has been useless! Mid sentence speaking and forgetting, forgot to put ice cream in the freezer after 1.5 hours! Hoping it's my fluctuating hormones and not just my brain failing hahah

HasBean7 · 10/04/2023 19:43

@PhyllisVance23 We were sort of trying but had pretty low expectations. Our first was conceived after 2.5 years with Clomid. We thought we should start early so we'd have time for fertility treatment again if needed, but it only took a couple of months!

@RebeccaMabel I'm also 37, but to be honest most people I came across when I was pregnant last time were also mid-30s so I think it's the new norm! You can usually self refer to your midwife but if you're not sure the GP receptionist can point you in the right direction. Mine was just an online form and they came back with a booking appt after a couple of weeks.

@CherryGiraffe Yes!! Some days I have cramps and pulling feelings, and sore boobs, other days I wouldn't know I was pregnant! When I'm tired I feel a bit nauseous, and the tiredness is slowly increasing day by day so I think that's pregnancy related. But with my first I didn't feel proper sick until 7 weeks, and then I just felt permanently hungover until it disappeared at 16 weeks. I don't know if it's easier or not having been through it before, this time I know it will get better, but I also know it's 10 weeks of hell before it does!!

HasBean7 · 10/04/2023 19:45

@PhyllisVance23 Forgot to say I'm not in the Facebook group but I do remember Beansprout!! So funny, I can't believe we're doing it all again in the exact same months!

PhyllisVance23 · 10/04/2023 20:06

@HasBean7 gosh we are so similar. We were also under ARU, and conceived with Letrozole! So it was a huge shock. We were going to start trying in June as we knew it would probably take a while. I guess our first pregnancies got things working eh?x

Emilyj13 · 10/04/2023 20:18

Hi all, I am 6 weeks tomorrow so due start of December but I am having huge anxiety due to loss of symptoms and brown discharge 3 days ago. I stupidly booked a private scan even though I thought it was too early and they saw the g sac and y sac but nothing else so I am thinking the worse. Pregnancy is hard before it’s even really started!!! I am just praying for a miracle.

RebeccaMabel · 10/04/2023 20:23

Hi hellobanana

Thanks and big congratulations and good wishes to you, too!

The biggest symptom from the TWW for me was actually the complete lack of symptoms! I got a bit suspicious when I had no debilitating migraines, no tearfulness, and no cramps. All my classic PMT signs had completely gone and I just felt really good.

How about you?
