I haven't seen one of these yet for December so thought I'd start one!

I'm due 1st December with hopefully a little rainbow.
I'm on cyclogest because I had 2 losses in the latter end of last year (October and december) at 6 weeks and 10 weeks.

Fingers crossed for lots of December babies!

Thank you @Natty83 this is really good advice, I really needed to hear that 💛

Frozendaquiri · 06/04/2023 08:49

I agree with @Lottie3665 , thank you @Natty83 I find myself day dreaming about the different things I have to look forward to and then try and stop myself. I think if I get to hear the heartbeat in my scan I'll definitely feel excited and maybe even start to look at different cots etc 💗

Natty83 · 06/04/2023 08:55

@Lottie3665 ❤️

@Frozendaquiri I think that's a great approach. We were able to see the heartbeat on our early scan but usually it isn't loud enough to hear until 12 weeks and can be even later depending on the position etc. So just don't be alarmed if you can't hear it, that's completely normal in the first trimester, they will show you it on the screen xx

17caterpillars1mouse · 06/04/2023 09:17

Hello, I've just found you guys.

I'm currently 5 weeks, due 4th Dec with DC no. 3. Other two will be 7 and almost 5 when this baby is due so feel a bit crazy going back to the baby phase. I've had a late loss previously (19 weeks) between child one and two so don't want to get too excited yet as I know there is a long way to go, but just saying hi :)

Also is anybody else so bloated? I've been waking up bloated every day since a week before my period was due. I never had this in other pregnancies. I usually get awful morning sickness though so waiting for that to kick in next week

wannabemum38 · 06/04/2023 11:48

I've not gone past 7 weeks with my previous MC its so hard to be excited. My OH says I need to stop worrying and it will be different this time but it's very difficult

HasBean7 · 06/04/2023 14:11

Ugh starting to feel nauseous 😫 I'm only 5+3 today and I didn't get any symptoms until 7 weeks last time.

Tiff34 · 06/04/2023 19:28

I’m 5 weeks. I’ve had two missed miscarriages before my son was born so I’m already a mix of hopeful but worried about getting to 12 weeks.
Ive got sore boobs and some mild aches in my stomach at times. I can’t remember if I had these with any of my previous 3 pregnancies.
I’m going to ask my midwife for an early scan at 9 weeks and if she won’t/can’t send me book a private one. I’ve had scans before at 7-8 weeks which were all good but turned out to be losses so I want to wait till beyond that this time!

Mumof1hopingfor2nd · 06/04/2023 20:03

I done another test this afternoon and it's was darker 😀
My boobs are very sore and I'm.tired and feeling sick especially when I'm hungry
I've got some mild pains in my stomach but not crampy I've got wind and I'm bloated so im thinking it's all good
I have an 11yr old with additional needs so there's a big gap but he is super excited and I'm getting Married in June busy few months

Farcry66 · 06/04/2023 20:47

I'm 5+1 today, I can't stop burping! I do not remember having so much wind when I was pregnant last time, although I didn't find out until 8 weeks so maybe I just wasn't paying attention!

My stomach gets really sore with trapped wind at the moment, am thinking I'm going to need to invest in some peppermint tea!!!

Anyone else suffering with it?

Lana32 · 07/04/2023 08:04

Just looking for a bit of a hand hold at the minute as I haven’t told family or friends I’m pregnant yet and really need to talk. Got my BFP at 8DPO on Monday but since Wednesday have been having some really light brown spotting. It’s only happening about once or twice a day and only when I wipe. If I wasn’t pregnant I would be expecting AF to arrive tomorrow.

I had a chemical last month so I’m really on edge about this!

But I’ve tested every day on a FRER and my line progression is really good so I’m trying to stay positive, but inevitably stressing! I have a doctors appointment this morning at 09.30am and really hoping he can put my mind at ease.

Moriquendi · 07/04/2023 09:07

@Lana32 Can see why you are worried if you had a chemical last month. That must have been so tough, I’m sorry. Here’s a hand hold.

It always helps me to remember that almost all loses before 12 weeks are due to chromosomal abnormalities that would be incompatible with life, your body is actually really clever for recognising this and it doing what it is supposed to do. But this pregnancy is a new egg and sperm and no reason to believe it will happen again. It’s great news about your line progression!! And spotting is very normal for lots of women during pregnancy.

Hope the doctor is able to set your mind at ease. Will they do blood tests to check the hormone levels are doubling? Early pregnancy is such a tough time!

Lana32 · 07/04/2023 12:54

Thank you!

I’ve seen the doctor and he has referred me to my Early Pregnancy Unit, although possible they won’t see me for another week or so as I’m so early.

I wasn’t prepared for how emotional I would get trying to share my concerns with him though - couldn’t get the words out with trying not to cry and ended up not asking half the questions I wanted to so I’m kicking myself now. I’m an emotional person at the best of times but obviously the pregnancy hormones have made me worse!

I’ve consoled myself with a scone, decaf coffee and another FRER which appears to show the start of a dye stealer so I’m keeping my hopes up!

@Lana32 I had brown spotting in my previous pregnancies and all was fine, it’s pretty common in early pregnancy. I think you should only really worry if the spotting is bright red but for now, just enjoy your pregnancy, plus that dye dealer looks very promising! :)

Moriquendi · 07/04/2023 14:20

@Lana32 Thats a brilliant line! Definitely a dye stealer 🥳 and you are still so early on (12dpo right?) I’d be thinking about twins between testing positive at 8dpo and then a dye stealer at 12 dpo 😂.

Great about the doctor referring you! And next week seems more sensible, there is no point going to the EPU and then it causing you more anxiety as it’s too early to see anything. And don’t worry about the crying, the GP knows it a very stressful time, and you’ll have another opportunity to ask the questions at the EPU.

Do you have any symptoms? I had none at all my first pregnancy but am thinking I’m more bloated than normal (though could just be too many Easter eggs 😬) and maybe slightly sore nipples?

Good the doctors saw you and referring you licky to get an appointment today my GP is shut til tuesday. I had a chemical last year and a MC year before that so am so apprehensive. I'm not sure whether to get in touch with my epu directly or ask gp to refer me cos of my history or as I was with my gynaecology clinic having Fertility tests to ask their advice. I've got very sore nipples and boobs today and back ache and still a craving for cheese so taking that all as a good sign
Hope my clearblue digital test progresses to 3+ weeks this time but don't want to take it too soon and be disappointed.

Natty83 · 07/04/2023 15:15

@Lana32 wow what a line! Especially for 12dpo - I had a squinter at 13dpo for my bfp haha. Glad they are looking after you and I hope all is well between now and your appt next week x

Pitstop1986 · 07/04/2023 15:21

@Lana32 I'm 20dpo and still haven't had a dye stealer yet! It looks to me like there is absolutely nothing that you have to worry about

TTCing · 07/04/2023 16:42

Hi all, please can I join? I had my bfp today (total shock as I was not expecting it) at 12DPO.

Based on the date of my last period, my due date is the 15th December.

I have a 1 year old who is also a December birthday.

i TTCd for 16 months for baby number 1 and I also had a chemical pregnancy before my daughter.

This time, we’ve been TTC for 8 months.

I am very anxious again about the possibility of a chemical/miscarriage. I’m trying not to allow myself to get excited but it’s hard not too.

Does anyone fancy being in a closed ‘December 23 babies group’ on Facebook?

I’m in a December 21 fb group from my first baby and we all still talk/chat/ask for advice off each other even now. We could maybe close it at 100 members? So it’s big enough to get a variety of opinions/support/advice but not too big?

Hopefully we can all support one another - especially in this difficult period where we haven’t told people in real life. Xxx

Hi @TTCing congratulations! I believe someone earlier in the thread made a group on Facebook. I'm sure someone will happily share you a link as I think it was said a few pages ago that each link only lasted for 24hrs so not sure the ones upthread will work x

TTCing · 07/04/2023 17:37

Thank you @Frozendaquiri and congratulations you to you too xxx

TTCing · 07/04/2023 17:40
