Hi all another new thread as the last one filled up fast again.
8wks3 here according to early scan. This may change at the 12 weeks scan xx

@katherine123x okay at least it’s not just me. I was freaking out, sitting in work with a hot water bottle now trying to ignore it. It’s so hard not to freak out 😭 lower belly kinda period like and also lower back, just hope no blood appears 🫣 I’m still super tired! Hope you’re doing okay ❤️

@iloveeggs I'm feeling the same!!! But feeling a little less tired and just feel sick in the morning and not all day. But cramps and aching the same!! On my apps it says a lot about feeling it. Little beans grow so much these first 12 weeks like doubling in size in a week!! I have had period style pain and short lightning crotch sort of pain! I really wouldn't worry!! 💗

@iloveeggs I was the same at 9/10 weeks. My midwife said as long as not worse than period cramps and no blood it's normal. Pressure is normal too. My back was awful I was nearly in tears! Get yourself either a pregnancy pillow or sleep with a pillow between your knees xx

Aw @katherine123x catching up - yes finally DTD (which I had to Google to work out what it meant 😅) in the middle of the night - after waking up from a saucy dream!

I’m 10+2 & all was well after.

I still get waves of nausea & I feel very lazy but it seems last week was worst for me.

@Elttek I hope it has gone ok for you today & the clarity offers some relief.

I'm in the same boat as a few of you, I'm 9+4 and feeling a lot better today which is worrying me a bit! Hoping it's just symptoms easing, but midwife said at my booking in not to expect that until 12-14 weeks

@MeganC104 Yes, I saw a consultant at 10 weeks - It was a joint one between BMI and Kidney Clinic. I had no idea why but I think the Kidney one wanted to see me early to do early checks. Was there anything in conditions that perhaps you think could be related?

unfortunately no clarity for me from
the scan today- still 2 babies, still 2 heartbeats, but one is measuring ok, the other one about 2 weeks behind. I have to wait til the 12 week scan now in about 2 weeks time to see how things are progressing.

@Elttek so sorry that it hasn't provided any more clarity. Did they talk you through it at all? Is it ever ok for twins to be measuring so differently at this stage (can the small one catch up or still be ok but just smaller?) It must be so confusing for you. Processing having twins is one thing but then with all the uncertainty thrown in you must be feeling a bit all over the place.

At my scan at 8 weeks they seemed pretty certain that the smaller one would be reabsorbed and that by 12 weeks it wouldn't be visible, but I don't think they expected it to have grown and still have a heartbeat 2 weeks later. They did keep saying that there was a big growth discordance etc etc, but I have no idea what to expect at the 12 week scan now. It's taken us 5 years to get this far 😣
The sonographer concentrated a lot on the smaller twin but I feel like I kept having to ask 'is there bigger twin ok though?' and they were a bit like 'sure' but didn't feel very positive still.

@PeopleAreToads same for me! I haven’t felt nauseous at all today and sore boobs have pretty much gone. I’m 9+4 too from nhs perspective and wondering if it’s the placenta starting to take over. Have you had any private scans? I was going to hold out until 12 Week scan but I’m getting fidgety with it now as just want to know that all is ok.

I'm 10 weeks today, I would say I've started to feel a little more normal this past week. still tired but not feeling as hungry or icky.

Looking forward to the booking appointment Thursday, hopefully will start to feel a bit more normal then

I’m 11+1 today and absolutely starving 😂 I’ve just had a bowl of homemade sweet and sour and rice and I’m already thinking about the next thing I’m gonna eat 🥴 anyone else? My back is sore today and I’m crampy. Think it’ll be time for a pregnancy pillow soon!

@Elttek - I am so sorry that the scan didn't clear things up, particularly when you have had such a long journey to get here. That sounds really tough.

@Chanteuse I'm eating so much, I usually have my tea then an hour or so later a bowl of cereal (or 2)🤦‍♀️

@Summer022 had a private scan at 7+2 and saw a heart beat which was reassuring at the time, but not sure it's making me worry less now. Hopefully youre right and it just starts to get easier at this point

@firstlittlefrazzleontheway My partner is the same about an 2nd private scan, he keeps saying it'll be more special at dating scan if we haven't seen it since 8wk. Our scans are on the same day, I'm counting the hours!

Anyone else in late 30s (I'm 37) who hasn't had NIPT privately and waiting for combined test at scan? I'm getting nervous about that part of it and know I won't get results till a week or two after scan. My hospital does NIPT if combined test results are over a certain ratio which is something.

@Midnight00 my partner is amazing, he has been so supportive and caring but I just think he finds it hard to see how anxious things can be from my perspective.

I also haven't had a private nipt test, not 100% sure about how it all works in all honesty- I'm trying really hard to just go with the flow

@Chanteuse I'm always starving but struggle to eat my evening meal. Still well over my calories for today. I forgot my breakfast for work so had a slice of birthday cake 🤦🏼‍♀️ ffs..

On another note... is anyone's wee luminous yellow/lime? I'm taking pregnacare so wondering if it's that. Tmi, I'm sorry

@ttcttc yesss to the wee!! I'm taking the same vitamins and it's a common side effects of taking vitamins!!

@katherine123x yeah I've heard vitamins do it so assumed it was the pregnacare. So luck going on it's hard to keep tabs

@Chanteuse I'm 11+ 5 and exactly the same. Starving, if I don't eat I feel so sick and I suddenly get so hungry too. My back is killing me today! Worse than it's been at all. I'm on extra progesterone so it's to be expected by still 😕

@ttcttc so glad you said this! I was taking folic acid & vitamin D along with a feroglobin liquid I’ve always taken until about a week ago. I’ve changed over to pregnacare max & omg my wee is luminous!

@lighthousechristmas no, I have a blood condition but it's currently in remission. My levels are fantastic and I had it in my last pregnancy too. They hardly checked it and when they did it was much later on. I text my midwife and she said there was nothing concerning in my results so she thinks the consultant is just seeing me early because she had space 🤷🏻‍♀️ I won't know until next Wednesday
