I'm 8 weeks today and my booking in appointment yesterday with blood tests. Everything has come back normal 😁 which is great as I had an issue last pregnancy which needed consultant care. Getting consultant care this time purely because of previous c section but so far I'm feeling healthier this pregnancy than my first

BeaKind · 21/03/2023 09:06

@Hopefulx @ttcttc i only put on 1.4lbs in my whole first trimester last time! 😬 hopefully it will just balance out later on 😅

BeaKind · 21/03/2023 09:07

I think this has been covered before but is anyone going for a VBAC this time round or had one before?

MeganC104 · 21/03/2023 09:09

@BeaKind I will be if consultant believes i have a high chance of success. I've been told I do so far but if anything changes in this pregnancy I may need an rcs

Derv1 · 21/03/2023 09:13

Hay all just after some reassuring.. currently 9 weeks 4 days, found out super early at 3 weeks 4 days so its been an age to get here. Was extremely nauseous weeks 4 to 8 and now the sickness is subsiding. I'm quite worried as I thought it was meant to be at peak at week 9. No scan letter yet . Just going out of my mind worrying somthing is wrong.

Derv1 · 21/03/2023 09:19

Oh and I'm 35, first pregnancy ended up as mmc .. I have a 6 Yr old boy and 7 year old boy also. I'm just so annoyed that we jave to wait to 12 weeks to have any contact with midwives here. Seems unfair for us with anxiety over it all

lighthousechristmas · 21/03/2023 09:38

@Derv1 Hi, i can only go by my experience but I had symptoms until week 9 and they dissapeared - Dont feel pregnant at all! Went for a private scan as was paranoid and all was fine, but didnt stop me thinking the worse, hardest 3 weeks - would have preferred symptoms! - However i've now had my 12 week scan and baby is okay :)

Summer022 · 21/03/2023 10:13

Is it possible/normal to have a loss of symptoms at around 9 weeks? I am 9 weeks and feel MUCH more human today than I have been for a while. Sore nipples almost gone and haven’t felt sick yet today. It’s got me really concerned, though I did read something about it could be the placenta taking over which means less burden on our hormones. Could that be a possibility? Feeling really worried 🥺

Saturnsmoon · 21/03/2023 10:22

@Summer022 I had the same at 9 week, I’m currently 11 weeks and feeling pretty rough again so I think fluctuating symptoms are quite normal.

EMcG3 · 21/03/2023 10:39

@Elttek - sounds like a tough morning, do let us know how it goes. My fingers are crossed for you!

SnookyPook · 21/03/2023 10:50

@Elttek thinking of you - hope all is ok at the scan x

Nice to see so many in their later 30's here! I've just turned 36.. we've been trying for 5 years, so as time ticked on I got really worried I was 'getting too old'. That and my daughter kept asking for a sibling and there will now be a nearly 8 year age gap 😕

Anyway, major scanxiety for me this morning- 9+6 today, and found out 2 weeks ago it was twins but massive difference between the size of both, though both had a heartbeat, so I have to go and see of it's stopped growing and been reabsorbed, or still there, or my worst nightmare that both have stopped growing. Though the bigger twin was measuring exactly the date it should, so I hope that's not the case. Bricking it.

Hope all goes well 🥰

Hopefulx · 21/03/2023 11:35

@Fifianne I don’t have an email but I have a number so I’ll give them a call today as seeing from the responses it looks like everyone has their bloods back.

@VictoriaBlossom @LaVitesse2022 thank you! x

BeaKind · 21/03/2023 07:11

Omg ladies I’ve just weighed myself and I’ve put on half a stone 😱

I haven't been brave enough to weigh myself in a couple weeks after I saw I'd put in 6lbs in the first 8 weeks 🙈

VictoriaBlossom · 21/03/2023 12:00

@BeaKind babe I darent even go on the scales now

Ss32 · 21/03/2023 12:24

BeaKind · 21/03/2023 09:07

I think this has been covered before but is anyone going for a VBAC this time round or had one before?

I’ve got a review with the consultant next week and really would prefer VBAC. My midwife said if I’m unsure they can scan me at 37 weeks to judge baby’s size and plan from there but I really don’t think I want another 25 weeks of not knowing what I’m doing!

MeganC104 · 21/03/2023 12:28

Did anyone have a random consultant appointment really soon after their booking? I'm freaking out a little bit. My midwife told me I wouldn't see the consultant until 16 weeks but I've just been asked to come in next week. No information on why. Was there something wrong with my test results?

Derv1 · 21/03/2023 12:51

Thanks for the reassuring replies.. went shopping this morning and the smells turned my stomach so bad..so I'm hoping it's just fluctuations of symptoms..

Ss32 · 21/03/2023 12:52

@MeganC104 my consultant appointment is the same day as my 12 week scan. They wanted them as close together as possible

NSx · 21/03/2023 12:57

can I ask what are your consultant appts for exactly ?

katherine123x · 21/03/2023 12:59

@Derv1 I found out the same day as you and are currently the same dates!!! My sickness has eased the last few days. So exactly the same!

SnookyPook · 21/03/2023 13:14

@MeganC104 hopefully they just had some availability and thought they would do it sooner rather than later? I imagine anything concerning would be brought up straight away rather than a week away but you could always give the midwife a ring and say it's concerned you a bit?

iloveeggs · 21/03/2023 13:45

Started having bad cramps again and bad back pain, I’m 9+4. No idea what to think but can’t help but worry 🥺

katherine123x · 21/03/2023 13:49

@iloveeggs same!!!!!!!!! And same dates as you may remember 💗
Lower belly cramps and back ache....
Cramps I think because things are growing and back ache because my boosts are huge!!
Nausea and fatigue have calmed too

katherine123x · 21/03/2023 13:52

Boobs..
