@FirstTimeMamaB I'm currently 10 weeks plus 3 and I have my scan on 12th April the day after yours! I'm really struggling with the exhaustion. It's so tiring working full time and having a 2 year old.

Yay!! We must be virtually identical due dates!! This is my first baby and so really didn't know what to expect! I've worked full time too and only my boss knows I'm pregnant (circumstances, not through choice!) But it's sooo hard. I nap at lunchtime and then after work, and still need to go to bed early. Even walking up stairs is like a sprint to me!
Keep going mama you're doing amazing with a 2 year old too!!!

Hope everyone is doing well. Had my consultant appointment today (the one I was nervous about) and all she did was take me through the care plan. I don't have to speak to them again until August now cause everything is looking really good 😊 and they're also very positive about vbac for me (this could change if there are issues but so far so good). Next appointment will be my date scan in a month's time .

Koalawhala · 29/03/2023 20:34

Hope everyone is doing ok. Great that you had some reassurance today @LR94.

I had a text today from my Dr’s surgery saying the urine sample the midwife took about 10 days ago shows infection and I should pick up antibiotics today. Has anyone else had this? Wondering if any infection would have gone by now (I feel fine) and also I’m on holiday so not easy to just pick that up. I’ll phone the GP tomorrow, just wondering if anyone else had had anything like that

RooneyRach · 29/03/2023 21:08

Hi ladies, another slightly late joiner here if that’s okay?
I’m 13 weeks today with my first baby, due date is 4th of October!
I had my 12 week scan Monday last week and was so happy to see little bean moving around in there and a heartbeat ❤️
I’ve had barely any symptoms from the start, only sore boobs occasionally early on and slightly nauseas when I needed to eat.
I’m another one that was worried that I was going to get to the first scan and not see anything there as I didn’t really feel pregnant at all, but everything looked great! So lack of symptoms can be normal ☺️

LaVitesse2022 · 29/03/2023 21:52

@RooneyRach welcome! And thanks for sharing your experience. As a fellow low-symptomer so glad to hear everything was well at your 12 week scan 🙂 Did you have an early scan before the 12w one?

RooneyRach · 29/03/2023 22:05

@LaVitesse2022 Thank you 🥰 No I didn’t have an early scan but I fought the urge to book one quite a few times as I kept feeling anxious while waiting for the nhs one. But as we’re paying for an early gender scan I didn’t want to pay for 2 private scans so I managed to wait it out somehow! It was very hard not to book one though!

VictoriaBlossom · 29/03/2023 22:20

@LR94 I've literally thought about you all day. Just got to my phone and so happy to see your post. X

SnookyPook · 30/03/2023 00:33

@LR94 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳 so happy to hear this news! 😊

@Summer022 I've not had an early scan either. Considered it a few times but felt the reassurance would be relatively short lived and I might as well wait. Have had just enough symptoms to make me pretty sure a baby is developing in there etc and now I'm at 9+wks I feel I really might as well wait... I've been patient this long! Reckon I'll be super nervous before the 12wk scan though 😬

Welcome to the new joiners 😊

firstlittlefrazzleontheway · 30/03/2023 07:02

My 12 week scan is today at 1pm!

After two weeks of no sickness and enjoying feeling better the nausea and vomiting has come back with a vengeance overnight- not sure how I'm going to get through a 10 hour work shift today😞

kingfisher168 · 30/03/2023 07:21

Hi @Koalawhala , yes I had this, likely to be Groub B strep. Some 1 in 4 or 5 women have this, but only an issue if pregnant as it doesn't cause any symptoms, but potential to harm the baby if untreated (some women are not even screened for this in some regions). But don't worry, a course of antibiotics during pregnancy and then during labour almost makes it impossible to harm the baby. But do pick them up when back from holiday. X

kingfisher168 · 30/03/2023 07:25

@RooneyRach congrats on your scan result. I'm die one day after you and also had a scan Monday and also only had slight nausea from lack of eating so didn't feel pregnant at all. It was so nice to see a wiggly little thing on the screen, it seemed so happy 😊 Excited to have a pregnancy 'twin', I have felt so alone with the lack of symptoms here 😆

Hopefulx · 30/03/2023 08:21

Morning ladies, hope everyone is doing well 🥰

Over the last week I got hit badly with the Flu, couldn’t get out of bed for 3/4 days and was just laying there pouring / shivering in sweat - it was awful. I have hardly ate or drunk much and I finally feel normal today but since having the flu all of my symptoms have gone and it’s got me so worried!

Decided to book a private scan today, at lunch time, for reassurance and want to make sure me being ill hasn’t effect the little bean. Has anyone else had the flu during the first trimester and everything be ok? xx

Koalawhala · 30/03/2023 08:22

Thanks @kingfisher168, that’s really helpful. We’re away for a while yet so I’ll see what the GP suggests and maybe pick up some antibiotics here x

Hopefulx · 30/03/2023 08:23

Sorry should have added - I’m 11 weeks today so maybe the lack of symptoms is from the placenta taking over but where I’ve been so I’ll I can’t help my anxiety take over

MamaNicz · 30/03/2023 08:33

So exciting to see everyone starting to have their scans!! Mine isn’t until 17th April so I’m still resisting the urge to book an early one!

VictoriaBlossom · 30/03/2023 08:36

@MamaNicz scan buddy, I'm the same, 17th april.
I've had 2 private scans as I'm just a wreck when I see blood and think there's something wrong instantly.
Feel like 17th April is so long away, but in reality it's only two weekends, that's how my boyfriend eases me over it when I complain 😂

SnookyPook · 30/03/2023 08:36

@Hopefulx so sorry you've been poorly, that sounds really miserable and tough! These little beans are more resilient than we give credit for a lot of the time so hopefully all is well and it is just that your symptoms are starting to settle a bit. Let us know how your scan goes but fingers crossed all is absolutely fine for you.

@firstlittlefrazzleontheway good luck for your 12wk scan! Eagerly awaiting the letter for mine now that the booking appointment is out of the way! It's starting to creep round a bit faster now. Let us know how you get on!

How's everyone else doing? I'm trying to muster up the enthusiasm to take my dog out for a morning walk in the sunshine before work... Not feeling it but I know I'll enjoy it once I'm out.

I had norovirus and covid simultaneously a couple of weeks back. Scan on Tuesday and all fine, despite fact I'd lost 1/2 a stone

CB23CB · 30/03/2023 10:01

Not good news for me, so I'm out of the group now.
Wishing you all the best with your pregnancies and bundles of joy xxx

monsteramunch · 30/03/2023 10:02

So sorry to hear that @CB23CB FlowersFlowersFlowers

Hopefulx · 30/03/2023 10:05

Thank you @SnookyPook you have made me feel better already 🥰

Sorry to hear you had two viruses back to back @Klex but so glad everything was ok at the scan - it’s given me reassurance for sure xx

katherine123x · 30/03/2023 10:08
