@katherine123x My friend was pregnant recently and the sickness didn't lift till 14 weeks so I'm expecting it to go on for a little longer than the 12 weeks.

I started cariban on Monday and my sickness is much better thank god!

LR94 · 29/03/2023 15:29

Thanks everyone, i’ve just been to my scan and there is a little baby kicking its limbs and a lovely heartbeat ❤️
they think i’ve had something called a Subchorionic Hematoma. Its so easy to assume the worst, I was finding it so hard to remain positive.
Thanks everyone for checking in, it really does mean so much xxx

katherine123x · 29/03/2023 15:35

@LR94 if I wasn't so tired I would jump for joy.!!!!!! So so so chuffed for you!!! 💕💕

cruciverbalista · 29/03/2023 15:41

iloveeggs · 29/03/2023 15:43

@LR94 Yaaaay great news ❤

monsteramunch · 29/03/2023 15:48

Ah @LR94 I've been thinking of you all day! Im so happy for you, what a relief! Flowers

Chanteuse · 29/03/2023 15:58

Fab news @LR94 !!

I’m just over 12 weeks not and not as nauseous really but the exhaustion is unbelievable!! Everyone keeps saying you feel better once the placenta takes over - I’m knackered!! I’ve also just realised how long we’ve been pregnant - there’s now a DECEMBER due date group!! 😂

Summer022 · 29/03/2023 16:04

@LR94 brilliant news, so pleased for you!

I am sooooo torn as to whether to book a last minute private scan. I’m desperate to see baby but the anxiety of it all is stopping me!!! I’ve not experienced private places like window to the womb or ultrasound direct before - would you girls who have had private scans say they are worth it?

SillyOldBear3 · 29/03/2023 16:14

@LR94 so happy for you, have been thinking about you today! 💐

I'm impatiently waiting for my 12 week scan which is on the 6th April.. it feels so strange knowing I'm pregnant but my only symptoms being sore boobs and tiredness. Really want the reassurance from a scan that everything is OK and I'm not just imagining it 🤣

lighthousechristmas · 29/03/2023 16:14

@Summer022 worth the money for me (window to the womb) i went at 7 weeks and 9 weeks because my anxiety was taking over my life - they were brilliant, extremely fast but still worth it

PeopleAreToads · 29/03/2023 16:19

@LR94 so pleased for you, have been thinking about you

@Summer022 we used window to the womb and loved it so much we're having a second early scan. They spent so much time talking us through everything and didn't feel rushed, we could look at the scan for as long we we needed. Personally, I think I needed to see the heartbeat to believe it was really happening!

Alexandra07 · 29/03/2023 16:20

@LR94 i am so happy for you! The last 24 must have been so intense and tiring for you!

@Summer022 how many weeks are you? If your 12 scan week scan is in a couple of weeks, I would say save the money for something else and wait. The scan I had with Window to the womb is very basic, they check measurements and estimate due date and if there is a heartbeat, these are the only things that could indicate an issue in their scan. No measurement of heartbeat to check if it's too low. Then they check if baby is in the right place, the ovaries and uterus. The report was given to me in an area where others could have been waiting, not the best practice. I was present when the previous lady got hers. I know for others the early scan offer ls reassurance, it didn't for me. I needed a scan to check how many babies were there so I can choose a nipt test.
If you decide to have one, window to the womb release discount codes for weekend appointments on Thursdays in their local Facebook page.

Summer022 · 29/03/2023 16:43

Thanks ladies that is really helpful! Im
currently 10 weeks so only two weeks to wait for my NHS scan. I think I just don’t believe there’s anything in there at all even though I am quite sick and boobs are horrendously sore 🤣 Gosh it’s such an anxious wait isn’t it. I think i’ll hang on for 12 week scan and keep fingers crossed that it will all be ok🤞

LR94 · 29/03/2023 17:06

@Summer022 we’ve had a private scan and its lovely. They give you alot more info than the nhs and its just such a nice experience

peonygirl · 29/03/2023 17:19

Hi ladies, may I join? my due date is end of October. I am currently 9 weeks 1 day and I am super sick. All day nausea, worse in the evenings. If I eat I feel better but then I throw up, if I don't eat I feel horrible and eventually throw up. I am off work because I cannot do anything and it's rather miserable. I am also super tired. My first appointment is only on April 14th which will be nearly 12weeks and I don't know when my next scan will be. I am rather anxious and thought of doing a private scan, but I cannot travel at present, I literally cannot go to the shop across the road. They all tell me this is normal but it doesn't feel normal and I am worried how the little one is doing.

LaVitesse2022 · 29/03/2023 17:21

@LR94 the best news!! So chuffed for you!

@Summer022 I had an early scan at 7 weeks because it felt so long to wait till 12. It really helped to know everything was in the right place (for some stupid reason I was obsessing over the possibility of an ectopic). Sonographer also mentioned I had a small subchorionic hematoma to not panic if I had some bleeding, which was good as I mentally prepared myself (nothing so far though). But in the last week (I'm 11+3) or so anxiety has sort of crept back in because now it's been a month and who knows what might've happened in the meantime! (now I'm obsessing over missed miscarriages 🙄) Honestly I think the relief from scans is only temporary. If I was at 10 weeks like you now I would just wait for the 12 week one.

katherine123x · 29/03/2023 17:25

@LaVitesse2022 this is me!
My anxiety has crept back in at 11+6! My scan is now a week today but I'm back to being worried!

LaVitesse2022 · 29/03/2023 17:31

@katherine123x so annoying isn't it. I think for me it's because apart from the fatigue, which is now easing, I don't really feel pregnant. If I hadn't had the early scan I wouldn't believe there was something in here 😅

Jealousofchiliheeler · 29/03/2023 17:43

@LR94 that's great news! Glad to hear all is ok.

BeaKind · 29/03/2023 18:05

@LR94 so pleased everything went well for you 🥰

monsteramunch · 29/03/2023 18:12

@peonygirl

Welcome and I'm so sorry you're having such a rough time of it, you really are having some horribly unlucky symptoms! I know everyone is different but just to offer you a little hope, I'm now 11 weeks and even a week ago I was still constantly nauseous so it really can improve suddenly and I have everything crossed that it does for you too. Have you explained to your midwife how extreme it is, to ask them if they can provide any advice / support at all? Flowers

AlongcameLainey · 29/03/2023 18:14

Ah congrats @LR94 Such a relief for you xx

@SillyOldBear3 my 12 weeks scan is on the 6th too. It seems so far away still.

@katherine123x I had major anxiety last week that something was wrong so wanted to book a private scan but managed to stop myself - hopefully the next week will fly by for us all

peonygirl · 29/03/2023 18:19

@monsteramunch thank you for your kind words. I haven't met the midwife yet, only on April 14th. I had an IVF so did all preliminary tests privately to confirm pregnancy. I spoke to my GP who advised rest, gave me sick leave and said all is well, I just need to listen to the body and take one day at the time. I am doing that but it is physically and emotionally draining.

You poor thing having such a rough time of it. But I'm so glad that your IVF journey has been successful - congratulations!

It's great that your GP has taken it seriously and reassured you that it's ok to listen to your body and rest, as in the early stages it's hard to get our heads around how rubbish we can feel physically especially when we can't tell most people why!

Make sure that you lean on your loved ones if you need to, I'm sure you would help them too if the roles were reversed Flowers

Hey lovely ladies, been lurking on here whilst travelling through the depths of hell (week 9 lol) sickness, nausea, exhaustion all hit my like a tonne of bricks over the last few weeks!
Now 10+1 and starting to get super anxious about our 12 week scan (11th April) really just want to get to it now!
