Hi all another new thread as the last one filled up fast again.
8wks3 here according to early scan. This may change at the 12 weeks scan xx

@Alexandra07 I find drinking out of Evian bottles gets the water/liquid in quicker. The red topped sports bottles. For my scan on Saturday at 9w I'd only drank half of one and she could see clearly. Depends if you were ever a chugger of pints in your youth, if you did have a past time of chugging just pretend it's a snakebite 😂 ugh think I was just a bit sick inside thinking of how many I did many moons ago

I was in A&E for 5 and a half hours and all they’ve done is say EPAS will call me in the morning. I’ve only just left and I don’t have any answers. Surely they shouldn’t leave pregnant women that long who are in pain and bleeding!

Oh gosh @LR94 that sounds so tough and I can imagine how anxious you must be feeling. I really hope you can get some sleep and then some answers in the morning - try to remember that it isn't too unusual and doesn't always mean bad news, though I know asking you to remember that is easier said than done. Sending positive thoughts

@LR94 so sorry you’re going through this and the care at a&e was so crap. Really hope the EPU see you this morning and can offer some reassurance.

Just catching up with this thread. I got the devestating news that my grandmother isn’t looking good and I’m mentally preparing myself for the worst so took some time out to process this 🥹 …

I hope you ladies with bleeds are ok? Last year I had the same and I was told A&E don’t scan, like you I had ti come back the next day to EPAU where I was scanned then. I think their mindset is that of them not really being able to do much with a bleed and to let nature take it’s course which Ofcourse is terrifying if it’s happening to you.

im also on the sick/nausea boat and have felt sick rubbish for weeks, I haven’t found anything really helps it but my midwife yesterday advised it will pass, along with the bad skin around 16 weeks 😵‍💫

Thankfully I’ve seen no more pink since last night so hopefully that was a one off. You just can’t help but think the worst.

Thanks for all of your nice messages, i’m at the pregnancy until for a scan at 2.30pm but i’m still bleeding and its just really dark brown now. Yesterday it was bright red and there was alot of it. Its strange because my boobs still feel sensitive and I only had a scan 12 days ago and everything is was perfectly fine, nice strong heartbeat.

@LR94 how awful you were stuck at A&E for so long and given absolutely nothing. Can't have helped the anxiety! I hope you can relax a little and do something kind for yourself while you wait on your scan x

@BeaKind the problem is she lives in Spain (I’m half Spanish) so it’s difficult as I can’t be there 💔 ..
life sucks sometimes.

Anyone got any good stories who have made it to 12 weeks and the sickness/nausea/exhaustion has eased? 🙏🏼

Oh I wish I did. 13 weeks and still needing a nap most days. I will say the nausea is subsiding though 🙌🏼🙌🏼 and mine was so bad.

Hey guys,

did anyone not hear from their midwife or any maternity service until after 10 weeks? I’m almost 10 weeks and heard nothing, no booking appt no scan date. I chased a few weeks ago and they told me to get back in touch if I hadn’t heard back by 10 weeks, i’m 10 weeks on Friday so chased again and..nothing! Not sure what else I can do or of this is normal procedure. With DD1 I had a booking appt via phone at 8 weeks followed by an in person appt

My nausea has kicked in,
And wahoooooo had morning sickness for the first time this morning
I know you're all sick of being sick, but for me it's a sign I'm really pregnant 😂

I'm the opposite. I feel loads better Today and now I'm worried 🤔

@ttcttc I keep having odd days where I feel better then symptoms come back with a vengeance!

But it's really hard not to worry when symptoms reduce. I'm having another scan on Friday so telling myself I only have to get through til then

How far on will you be when you have the second scan

@DSP21 i don’t know if it’s different for different trusts but for mine they need to have completed booking appointment and initial bloods before 10 weeks. That does seem a very long wait for you. Have you got a phone number for them?

@ttcttc I'll be 11+1 on Friday for the scan, then have my NHS one on 12th april
