@SnookyPook @blebbleb thanks both, I have called and left a voicemail for a new date. It’s frustrating isn’t it. I’ve had the appointment booked in for weeks and they cancel it last minute. I know them being short staffed can’t be helped but they didn’t even give me a new date x

HistoryFanatic · 27/03/2023 11:46

Waiting for my scan letter. 10+2. It didn't come today. 😩

monsteramunch · 27/03/2023 11:47

Another one here waiting for a scan date. 11 weeks today!

NSx · 27/03/2023 11:48

My 12 week scan isn’t until I’ll be about 13 weeks 🤪 and my booking appt is Tuesday when I’ll be 10 weeks ..
I guess being delayed is normal it seems 😅

DmcinT · 27/03/2023 12:25

its so lovely to be getting to the stage of scans (although terrifying at the same time)
we didn’t go through ivf for triplets but every nurse and doctor last week just assumed we had so they were all shocked when we confirmed it just happened 😂 it’s our first pregnancy too (& prob last realistically) I’m really still just processing it, told my boss this morning even though I’m not even 10 weeks yet but I’ve to go for another scan now this week so will need more days off. Prob best they know the strain I’m under too, he was great but just so shocked. Ppls reactions are hilarious when we say it’s triplets… deff brings the shock factor.

since we found out I’ve been picturing either 2 boys and a girl or 2 girls and a boy… I just can’t picture it being all 3 of either gender but that means nothing too😂😂

NSx · 27/03/2023 12:34

@DmcinT that is mad - will you find out the gender so you know what to be prepared for 😅💓 3 is a lot. I can imagine you are overwhelmed 😊

OrionNebula · 27/03/2023 12:48

DancingNancies · 27/03/2023 11:38

@ttcttc this one has got to be a boy.
Like @EMcG3 all grandchildren so far are boys and 2 of them are mine, I can't imagine anything else!

Also we have mountains of boy clothes and my house is full of hotwheels so it'd be handy to have a third boy - or at least a girl that's into vehicles 😂

Don't mind either way, but I can't imagine a girl at all!

My little girl is SO into vehicles! Mainly trains but anything with wheels really. We have heaps of hot wheels cars littering the house 😂

Will be interesting to see if her sister is the same or has more stereotypical girl interests!

DancingNancies · 27/03/2023 14:15

Private scan earlier today, and one happy little baby-shaped blob bouncing around! Wouldn't sit still and was sitting with it's bum right up in the air so she couldnt get the best pictures/measurements but they reckon 10+4 based on their measurements so one day further than initially thought, will see what happens at the 12w scan though re DD!

I was really nervous about this one for some reason, so it's a relief to see that everything is fine so far, feel like I can relax a little until the 12w scan now, thankfully!

Ss32 · 27/03/2023 14:31

With my little girl, I had a private scan at 10 weeks and I soon as I saw her I just knew she was a girl! I can’t even explain how, it was just such a strong feeling! My family are all boys but my partners family are mostly girls. I have a feeling this one is a boy but it’s not a strong feeling and I didn’t feel either way at the scan so I guess it’s just a wait and see!
I don’t mind either way, generally I feel like another girl would be more practical but, I think if we have another girl, OH would want a third to try for a boy and I don’t think I want another after this! (Although I never say never!)

monsteramunch · 27/03/2023 14:35

Aah so happy for you @DancingNancies I bet it was lovely to see your little wriggler! Flowers

DmcinT · 27/03/2023 14:37

@DancingNancies oh that’s so exciting and such a relief❤️ Congrats 🥳

The 4 of us 😂 are back in now on Wednesday for another scan, it’s so nerve racking

Saturnsmoon · 27/03/2023 15:11

@NSx No mine isn’t on NHS. Went private for it. My husband has downs in the family so was very keen we get the NIPt done. It did include a scan for me which included measuring the nuchal translucency which looked good and did give me some reassurance ahead of the blood test. They said it would take 5 to 7 working days. So far it’s been 6 so really hope to hear back by tomorrow latest. Good luck for yours tomorrow, I’m sure it will all go well. I think it’s the waiting that’s the hard part 💕.

Saturnsmoon · 27/03/2023 15:13

I have a feeling mine’s a boy - not sure why really although maybe I’m basing it off the fact that my mum was really ill when pregnant with me and much less ill with my brothers. I’ve been lucky to escape most of the puking so guess that’s probably in mind but I know in reality it differs for every woman and every pregnancy regardless of sex of the baby.

JoanneV · 27/03/2023 16:12

Just catching up, 10+2 and sleeping 12 hours a day. Nausea went for a few days and now its back today. 😩 Having a lot of back and hip pain at night time. Hopefully it will ease up soon.

@DmcinT congratulations what a surprise to get. I can't imagine what it would be like to have twins nevermind triplets. 🙈

I think mines a girl, no idea why.

monsteramunch · 27/03/2023 16:18

11 weeks today and we both think we're having a girl, no reason other than a gut feeling! I just want them to be ok, whether they're a girl or a boy. Cant wait to get the first scan booked in to put my mind at ease a little.

VictoriaBlossom · 27/03/2023 16:24

@DmcinT sorry I'm a bit behind, but wowwweeee congratulations!!! Friend of mine has naturally conceived triplets and they're absolutely bossing it. The kids are so close as well. It'll be hard graft in the beginning but I'm sure you'll get used to it! Xx

VictoriaBlossom · 27/03/2023 16:26

@DancingNancies the scan photos really do put your mind at ease. Looks lovely ❤️

Mamabear345 · 27/03/2023 17:14

ttcttc · 27/03/2023 10:04

Bit of a random one but does anyone have a gut feeling what they're having? I know it's Just that but I was talking to my friend about it and she said she knew and was right but she did laugh and say well it was 50/50 😂

I’d convinced myself it was a boy. My pregnancy fells different to my first pregnancy with a girl. But.. my NIPT results came back and it’s a girl!
We are over the moon, and our daughter was adamant she wanted a sister and not a brother, so very glad we don’t have to have that conversation! When we told her it was a girl she said “ I told you it was going to be a girl” 🤣

Chanteuse · 27/03/2023 17:15

I also have a weird gut feeling I’m having a girl! We will see 🤣 my 12 week scan is next week at 13+0/12+6 (my guessed date from ovulation vs nhs date) and I’m so looking forward to it 🥹

DancingNancies · 27/03/2023 17:39

Thank you everyone - I think I felt more nervous this time round because I had a chemical in January, so I'd half convinced myself there wasn't actually a baby in there and the tests were just still positive from then - despite a huge bleed in Jan - so nice to see I'm not crazy after all!

@Mamabear345 this was my oldest, absolutely adamant he was having a brother - I've never been more relieved than when my 20w scan showed it was a boy 😂

Needtobuildabridge · 27/03/2023 17:57

Absolutely convinced it's a boy 😂

NSx · 27/03/2023 18:03

@Saturnsmoon ahh ok, we’ll good luck I’m sure everything is fine and I hope you get that reassurance soon 🤞🤍

I’m terrified for mine tomorrow but also keen to just know …

Summer022 · 27/03/2023 18:07

When is everyone thinking of telling their work about their pregnancy? I am unsure whether to tell them at 12 weeks or wait a little longer

Alexandra07 · 27/03/2023 18:13

@Summer022 I am not in a hurry to tell work, but I'll tell them shortly after 12 weeks, just after Easter. I am a teacher and if I leave it for too long, they may not find maternity cover. And I doubt I can hide it for much longer.

4 more days of work before Easter holidays, I am 9w+3d and so relieved that week 10 and 11 is during Easter holidays!

Nipt tests: when they say it takes 7 days, does it take 7 working or calendar days? What's your experience?

Hopefulx · 27/03/2023 18:28

Me and DH are convinced we’re having a girl. When we wake up he says
“how’s my girls today” 😂 but it could well and truly be a little boy. This is our first baby, we don’t mind either way x
