Hello, I'm really bad at keeping up with this thread. Everything feels a lot at the mo. My nausea is hitting really hard in the morning. I'm 9 weeks tomorrow. Got my consultant appointment Wednesday which I'm still nervous about.

katherine123x · 27/03/2023 08:21

Exhaustion mixed with a nap and the time change has really screwed me! 😂😂😂 I'm so tired I can barely see !

DancingNancies · 27/03/2023 08:32

@katherine123x ironically my kids have coped with the time change really well for the first time ever, but I'm the one that's been awake! A mighty 4 hours and 11 minutes of sleep tonight, just to find out that our toddler class is cancelled so I've got to entertain a 2yo all morning without help! 🥲😂

Hopefulx · 27/03/2023 09:11

@CB23CB I am the exact same. I am nearly 11 weeks and my nausea, food aversions and sore boobs have all gone. The only thing that I do still feel is tired. I’ve had two scans and at both scans they said everything looked normal so I’m just trying to remember that.

try not to worry but hopefully you get some reassurance soon! Let us know how you get on 🤞🏽

I feel you! I’m a SAHM with a 4 year old, thankfully she goes to pre-school 3 days a week, but man I’m exhausted! Getting no sleep each night. She’s at home today, TIREDDDD already 🤣🤦🏻‍♀️

DancingNancies · 27/03/2023 09:43

@Mamabear345 I feel your pain!! He's currently lying on the sofa eating an apple, then we're making cupcakes apparently so he's keeping me busy!

Thankfully I get to work Weds-Fri for a bit of a rest, though I fear the Easter hols are going to be a killer - when I think of all the school holidays I didn't appreciate enough before I had kids! 😂

Fifianne · 27/03/2023 09:47

@Hopefulx @CB23CB yesterday I felt the exact same and I’m 10 weeks today. I actually have a scan on Thursday because this is my 3rd pregnancy in the past year the EPU have been brilliant. I had a scan at 8 weeks 3 days and baby was there and heartbeat but I just feel like my stomach is now flat and nausea seems to be better. Last night it all got a little too much and I had a cry in bed, my partner is brilliant but I’m just feeling so bad for him also. I wish there was easier ways of reassurance. Sending you both positive vibes 💕💕💕

cruciverbalista · 27/03/2023 09:49

@DmcinT OMG congrats and best of luck!!! Is this your first pregnancy?

@VictoriaBlossom congrats on your first puke lol. Yesterday I threw up so violently I got toilet splashback in my eye. 😂😭

I'm not eating much though when I do it's a half loaf of bread in one sitting but definitely still gaining weight. Think we're just strapped in to this rollercoaster now!

NSx · 27/03/2023 09:50

@Saturnsmoon can I ask if your NIPT was on NHS? If so did you get a scan with the bloods? Did they advise how long the results take?
I have mine tomorrow? 🥹
wishing you clear results 🤞

cruciverbalista · 27/03/2023 09:55

Oops, didn't mean to make a strikeout, sorry!

ttcttc · 27/03/2023 10:04

Bit of a random one but does anyone have a gut feeling what they're having? I know it's Just that but I was talking to my friend about it and she said she knew and was right but she did laugh and say well it was 50/50 😂

katherine123x · 27/03/2023 10:10

@ttcttc I'm convinced it's a boy and I'm only 10+4! I've been convinced for a few weeks. Don't ask why. I have no idea. I just always think of baby as a he and never once thought it was a girl. 🤷🏼‍♀️

SnookyPook · 27/03/2023 10:12

@ttcttc not had any inkling really this time. With my first I had a dream at 7wks that I gave birth to a healthy baby boy and he was indeed a boy. But like your friend, I guess it was 50/50 🤷🏼‍♀️

The only thing I've had is since getting pregnant I've been able to imagine having a girl more than I could before. I felt very much a boy Mamma now I'm used to my son and had been really thinking a second boy would be great. As the pregnancy has gone on I've been able to imagine a girl more as well but I think that's just me processing that it really could be either and either would be lovely! 🥰

ttcttc · 27/03/2023 10:23

@SnookyPook @katherine123x glad it's not just me. I'm convinced it's a boy too 🙈

katherine123x · 27/03/2023 10:28

@ttcttc bizarre isn't it. Obviously could be completely wrong. I genuinely don't mind whether it's a boy or a girl but it's definitely weird that your mind totally sways you!

VanillaOat · 27/03/2023 10:37

Morning ladies, does anyone else have their 12 week scan this week?

I’m 12 weeks today, my scan is Friday and it’s literally all I can think about. I’m WFH and finding it so hard to concentrate!!

Like others on this thread, my symptoms come and go and although I’ve had two amazing scans so far, I’m still so nervous!

firstlittlefrazzleontheway · 27/03/2023 10:56

@VanillaOat my 12 week scan is on Thursday, it's not until 1pm and all I can think about is how far away it feels!

EMcG3 · 27/03/2023 10:58

@ttcttc - yes, this one is a girl. There are 9 grandchildren between my husband's family and mine and every one is a girl. The overall population is 50/50 but I am just a bit skeptical that my chances here are really 50/50. I'm not fussed either way.

PeopleAreToads · 27/03/2023 11:01

@VanillaOat I'm having a scan on Friday, will be a few days short of 12 weeks, but going away that evening with friends for a long weekend and don't think I could hide it, so we're paying for an additional scan

I'm starting to feel really anxious today and over think every tiny symptom or lack of

Alexandra07 · 27/03/2023 11:17

@ttcttc with my first one, I wanted a boy but at some point after my 12 week scan I just knew it was a girl and the 20 week scan confirmed it! Mums know!

I don't have a strong feeling about this pregnancy yet.

pangolin84 · 27/03/2023 11:19

@VanillaOat Yes, got my 12 week scan on Friday afternoon. Should be 12+3 by then 🤞
I’m an anxious mess and trying not to think about it.
Symptoms seem to be all over the place although partly I think it’s a mental thing that I’ve just got used to feeling sick and tired 😂

LR94 · 27/03/2023 11:21

Hi all, at what week did everyone have their first midwife booking appointment? Mine was supposed to be today but they have cancelled it due to being short staffed and they haven’t given me a new date, they just said they would be in touch however I'm 9+5 and online it says there are certain blood tests that need to be done before 10 weeks and obviously that is in 2 days. I feel like i’m already being pushed aside by the hospital and this is only the first step x

SnookyPook · 27/03/2023 11:32

@LR94 that's frustrating - I would ring back and query the bloods thing I think. Mine is on Weds and I will be 9+2.

Jealous of those of you who are at 12wk scan stage! This first trimester is taking forever! Hope they all go well ❤️

blebbleb · 27/03/2023 11:35

@lr94 I had mine just after 8 weeks. I have my 10 week blood tests on Wednesday and I will be 10 + 3.

DancingNancies · 27/03/2023 11:38

@ttcttc this one has got to be a boy.
Like @EMcG3 all grandchildren so far are boys and 2 of them are mine, I can't imagine anything else!

Also we have mountains of boy clothes and my house is full of hotwheels so it'd be handy to have a third boy - or at least a girl that's into vehicles 😂

Don't mind either way, but I can't imagine a girl at all!
