@CB23CB I've felt exactly the same, I'm 10+1 and have been feeling so much better the last few days and it made me so anxious. I've done so much googling and the placenta taking over and reducing symptoms about this time seems to be the answer

But then symptoms are back with a vengeance today, and now regretting not enjoying the few days of feeling well

I'm just telling myself that ups and downs with symptoms are totally normal

NSx · 25/03/2023 11:17

@CB23CB I’ve read of the hook effect on here where there’s so much HCG that it doesn’t turn into a strong positive as there’s too much HCG could it be that?
I know it’s easier said than done but try not to worry 🤍

VictoriaBlossom · 25/03/2023 11:26

It's too late for a McDonald's muffin 😭

TealDreams · 25/03/2023 11:28

@CB23CB from what I heard tests after about 6 weeks aren't worth doing because your HCG is so high. I had symptoms that came and went early in pregnancy and didn't feel pregnant for a long time! it is normal and I'm now 12+3 with a healthy bean. Try not to worry. If a scan will calm you, can you get a family member or close friend to come with you? xXx

CB23CB · 25/03/2023 11:56

Thanks for your reassurance everyone. It's really hard to not worry and over thing everything isn't it!
I think I'm about 10 weeks but I didn't have a period in between my procedure and getting pregnant again.
I'm going to try and just calm myself ahead of my appointment in the week. Maybe have a scan when my husbands home. He the only person who knows currently. I didn't want to tell anyone until 12 weeks after the previous miscarriage.
Wow it's all ups and downs isn't it.
Thank you everyone 💖

iloveeggs · 25/03/2023 12:04

@Saturnsmoon You're right it's probably the best option, I might tell them on Monday and it'll be out of the way then! Thank you.

DancingNancies · 25/03/2023 12:04

@CB23CB I had disappearing symptoms in both my previous pregnancies and babies are now boisterous boys who drive me crazy! One day I'd be exhausted and sick, the next feeling perfectly normal, so try not to worry.

I also know how you feel about not telling anyone until after 12w...this will be baby no.3 for us, and I think everyone assumes we were done with 2 - until we know that everything is OK, we're not telling anyone as then they know we want a third and will be watching! 👀

PeopleAreToads · 25/03/2023 12:26

@DancingNancies this is our first but we've been exactly the same. Deliberately avoided mentioning the topic of TTC to anyone and keeping quiet til 12 weeks because I don't want the pressure of everyone guessing

So I think people will be really shocked when we actually tell them, don't think anyone is expecting it for another year or so

SnookyPook · 25/03/2023 12:58

@Chanteuse woke up with this beauty this morning. Pregnancy is so glamorous isn't it?! Haha

@Jealousofchiliheeler I had my booking appointment on Thursday. I was pleasantly pleased to be classed as low risk too despite being 39 and my BMI was 26.7 thanks to the weight gain already! But she said I'm not overweight, I. Tall 5.9 so it's nice they take a sensible approach.
I also have to see the consultation as I did last time, I had a letz procedure years ago that went quite deep and they wanted to check I didn't need a stitch to prevent premature Labour. Fortunately I didn't and just got discharged back to midwife! Fingers crossed for the same again!

VictoriaBlossom · 25/03/2023 15:25

@CB23CB I bled yesterday at 9w2, and I felt like my boobs weren't sensitive any more.
Then started having cramps and it really got to me, lay in bed last night so upset.
So at 5am I went on ultrasound direct and booked a scan for 6 hours later

And there they were, with a heartbeat and no issues. So try to not worry, our brains go into absolute overdrive

@VictoriaBlossom lovely scan pic 💕 I hope you got some reassurance. Has your DD stayed the same?

VictoriaBlossom · 25/03/2023 16:48

@NSx 27th October currently according to scan x

Alexandra07 · 25/03/2023 17:46

@VictoriaBlossom that must have been stressful. I am very happy for you everything worked out fine!

I booked my nipt that includes a scan for 7/4. A bit less than 2 weeks. I still feel relieved everytime I go to the toilet and there is no blood on the paper!

SillyOldBear3 · 25/03/2023 17:54

@CB23CB just in case you need reassurance about the lighter line, I had this too, around 8 weeks. Panicked, then tried the 'hook effect' test where I diluted my pee with water.. line was dark again. It's definitely a thing! I'm close to 11 weeks now and my symptoms also come and go. All I have is tiredness and slightly sore boobs.

Summer022 · 25/03/2023 18:01

Oh @VictoriaBlossom what a sweet little scan pic. I’m waiting until payday to book a private scan and hopefully put my mind at ease. I just want to see them!!

Got some light cramping today, it hurts when I cough or laugh etc so it worried me, but no bleeding so far. Could it be my uterus stretching possibly? I read cramps can go on all the way through pregnancy so trying to focus on it being baby growing rather than anything else

Chanteuse · 25/03/2023 18:09

@SnookyPook so glamourous! I’m sooo hormonal and emotional too 😭

Jealousofchiliheeler · 25/03/2023 18:11

@redavocado did you survive? Having it at home is hard, we did that last year, trying to entertain the kids ourselves and we felt broken at the end. This year got an entertainer in a hall which was definitely worth the extra cash. Intense set up but it was ok once it got going. We have a lot of leftover pizza though!

mariamari · 25/03/2023 18:29

@Saturnsmoon I discovered lemon water & it’s been really supportive for nausea! I seem to be able to get it down easier :) I’ve been advised to drink 2litres a day (which seems wild - especially given my broken sleep riddled with toilet breaks!) but at least it goes down better.

VictoriaBlossom · 25/03/2023 18:56

@Summer022 that's normal. It's called something specific.
I had cramps like I was gonna come on last night. That's why I got upset.
But very relieved. Family party at the in laws tonight. No one knows I'm pg so this is gonna be fun.

I did! As two introverts, we learned our lesson last year and paid for an entertainer for today. Kids left saying best party ever so I'm pretty chuffed! Completely ready for bed though.

BeaKind · 25/03/2023 20:32

Oh @SnookyPook that’s a beauty! 😝

@VictoriaBlossom such a lovely pic 💕

I think I’ve got norovirus 😭 DS has had diarrhoea the last 2 days and today I started feeling iffy. Now been sick 5 times and can’t keep anything down. Even water comes back up an hour or two later. I’m soooo thirsty and away for the night. Now DH has it so we can’t get any dioralyte 😭 early to bed for us and hoping it has passed in the morning 🙏

VictoriaBlossom · 25/03/2023 20:38

@BeaKind get well soon! Keep your water intake up,

Ugh I've had a gin and lemonade poured for me and I'm just walking round with it. Need a plant to pour it in 😂 MIL has a vase of daffodils and I've heard daffy grow well on gin?
I feel like a proper fraud not telling them. But MIL will literally tell everyone and after my worry last night I wanna get closer to a second trimester

iloveeggs · 25/03/2023 20:50

@BeaKind I got it on holidays a few weeks ago it's horrible 😭Couldn't keep anything at all down, just kept trying to drink sips of water but it would all come back up. It did pass within 24 hours though so hopefully it'll be gone for you soon 💞

Saturnsmoon · 25/03/2023 23:58

@BeaKind I had it a few weeks ago and the only way I could hold down any liquid was by sucking ice cubes. Hope you feel better soon.

@VictoriaBlossom lol I’ve been that person, in the end I snuck my drink into the bathroom with me and poured half of it down the sink. Then sneakily put the other half down somewhere and pretended to have lost my glass 🙈
