Hi all! 😊

I got my bfp yesterday and although it's super early days (I'm only 12dpo), from looking at the NHS pregnancy calculator, I'd be due 2nd November...
Just thought I'd make this thread for anyone who has recently got their bfps and are due in November-time!

I thought we could use it to discuss how we are feeling, any symptoms/lack of symptoms we have etc. and just a safe place for a chat with people in the same boat!

Congratulations to everyone who have got their bfps and sending lots of sticky baby dust to all! 🤞✨💕

Hey! Can I join please? Still in complete shock as we got our first BFP today (on Mother's Day in the UK 😍) My Premom app is telling me I'm 4 weeks + 6 days and due date would be around 20th November 2023. Congratulations to everyone 💕

@MooseWL & @EBeans - I just had my scan! 1 little bean with a very healthy beating heart. Oh the relief!! Measuring a day behind, but that’s nothing really. He also said there was a corpus luteum cyst on my left ovary, where I likely ovulated from. Which concerned me, but the sonographer told me they’re fairly common & harmless & disappear by the end of first trimester!

When we were waiting to go in the lady before came out sobbing & so visibly upset with her toddler & partner also crying. Really feel for everybody who has gone through this. It makes me feel guilty! I wish everybody healthy pregnancies x

BettylovesAugust · 19/03/2023 17:53

@TTCJJB Thank you. To be fair my GP has been amazing and so kind. She has signed me off work and said there is one other type I can try if these don’t work (they aren’t) and then they try steriods. Its been going on for a few weeks now, I was in A&E at 6 weeks because of dehydration (due to bringing up everything, including water). Really want to stay out of hospital as I have a toddler and DH is already doing so much.

Pip1402 · 19/03/2023 18:07

You poor thing @BettylovesAugust that sounds so tough. Really hope you find some meds which help and feel a bit better soon.

Congratulations @mldn that's wonderful news!

EBeans · 19/03/2023 18:18

Congratulations @Mldn , that's amazing news! So happy for you ☺️ just a short stretch to the 12 week scan now!

I read so many horror stories and warnings about going for early scans but so glad we did ours.

We've had a very testing afternoon. A 3+ hour drive home from the in laws with a good 2 hours of me asking the OH to pull over every few miles so I could try and not be sick, followed by me demanding a KFC 30 mins from home. I do feel for the man, must not know whether he's coming or going 🤣 praying the rest of this trimester flys by.

Mldn · 19/03/2023 18:24

Thanks so much @EBeans ! Super relieved & hopefully the next 5 weeks won’t be too testing! Oh god, I feel you on the sickness. It’s come with a vengeance the last 4/5days. I’m yet to actually throw up. But the dizziness & nausea is bloody horrible! Haha, my partner is literally doing anything possible, no matter how irrational I am being, probs just to avoid a telling off! The hormones are crazy. Hope you’re feeling better after the KFC! Beige food is all my body is accepting x

MooseWL · 19/03/2023 19:13

@natgee I am trying to be the same. I know stressing about every little thing will not change anything so trying to be relaxed about it.

I actually went out to my MILs allotment this afternoon and felt much better being outside in the fresh air. I even managed to eat, though by the time I left I was feeling really sick. I think even though you don't feel like going out once you are out the distraction is nice! I told my mum today too as I just couldn't keep it a secret any longer. I've also got a couple of friends who I've told, one pregnant but in 2nd trimester and one who had her 2nd last year - mainly because I needed some people to moan about the first trimester to.
@BettylovesAugust sorry to hear you're having a crap time.
@mldn yeay that's great! Was it abdominal or internal?

Mldn · 19/03/2023 19:17

@MooseWL thank you! I was certain I wasn’t going to have a scan until a bit later on, cos as you said - you can’t change anything. But today I just felt done over with the anxiety that something was wrong. It was really resorting to see a heartbeat, even though I know this can change still. It was internal, I didn’t find it too bad at all. It was a male sonographer with a female chaperone & my partner in the room - all over in about 15 mins or so x

MooseWL · 19/03/2023 19:27

@Mldn oh I hope you didn't think I was being finny when I said about not stressing! I was referring to some spotting I had earlier in the week! I totally get that some days anxiety takes over and if I'm honest if I could move my scan earlier (it's 2 weeks when I'm 9 weeks - hoping it might be able to be abdominal by then!) I totally would!!

I was crying at 4am this morning because I felt so sick and my doctor last week said I didn't need anti emetics. I've got my booking in on Tuesday so going to ask my midwife about them again!

MooseWL · 19/03/2023 19:28

@mldn *funny not finny obvs

Mldn · 19/03/2023 19:33

Oh no I didn’t at all @MooseWL - it was more because like 3 pages back I was adamant I was waiting until 9 weeks & here I am strutting off for a scan after one bad day of anxiety! I wished I could’ve held out, but I am super relieved for now. They told me today that as I am below 10 weeks it needed to be vaginally. It really was okay & very private. But I’ve read some people have abdominally earlier, so hopefully you can get that.
I wouldn’t know how to react if I had spotting, bless you. It’s so hard going for a wee & checking the toilet roll every time. Hopefully it was just a one off & all will be well for you 🤞🏼

I am yet to vomit, but the dizziness is horrible. If it continues I may speak to my GP but I doubt they’ll prescribe anything for that. Hope your booking in goes okay xx

Travellingislife · 19/03/2023 19:58

@BettylovesAugust aw that sounds really horrible. I just feel queasy and that is making me miserable so I can’t imagine how you’re feeling. I hope the other meds will work for you.

@Mldn amazing news! That must be very reassuring!

MooseWL · 19/03/2023 20:21

@Mldn it was only a tiny bit and only one day. I also had a tiny bit at 10 weeks in my last pregnancy and that turned out fine which made me feel better about it!

LilmissCa · 19/03/2023 20:28

Joining in you guys! Just found out today & working out as due date 20th Nov!
Shock is starting to settle now!! already have a DS at 7 & a DD who was just 1 in Jan, nervous with such a small gap after such a big one!
Also petrified of Hyperemesis, I had it with my DD (not DS) worrying so much about how I will cope with a 1yr old this time too.

Huge congratulations to everyone ❤️

SnookyPook · 19/03/2023 23:50

@Fox01 so sorry my lovely. Sending you big hugs and lots of luck for later in the year.

@Mldn congrats on your healthy scan 🥰

@flowerlover1990 @LilmissCa welcome and congrats! What a lovely day to find out too!

I'm just in bed sitting upright cos the last food I had a couple of hours ago is sitting heavily and I don't trust myself to lie down. Eurgh. Although well aware I don't have much to complain about. @BettylovesAugust so sorry you're going through hyperemesis - it sounds completely miserable and it must take all the joy out of things. I hope it passes for you soon so you can enjoy the rest of your pregnancy. @LilmissCa it must be horrible being on tenterhooks waiting to see if you get it or not. Does this mean you're hoping for another boy..?!

8wks now! Feels like a bit of a milestone, although bit surreal as no idea how things are progressing. Just hoping there are enough symptoms to indicate that things are going well still.

Mummypig23 · 20/03/2023 08:03

Hello.
Can I join you? Been keeping an eye on this thread since BFP a couple of weeks ago. 7 weeks today and date should be 6th November. This is my fourth pregnancy (two MC previously) - have one DD who is 3. I feel so poorly; I don’t remember feeling this bad in any other pregnancy. I literally feel sick whenever I am awake. It’s waking me up in the night. Throwing up 5-6 times a day and dry heaving about the same. I’m supposed to work full time and don’t really know how to get through it!

Chellooo · 20/03/2023 09:46

@Mummypig23 I feel you. I'm the same, it's just so debilitating. My hubby made me a bit of toast this morning while I was in bed, and I've managed to keep it down and feel better for it, but am so.afraid of having to into the office if I'm having a bad day! I'm 7+1 so looks like we're well and truly in the same boat! Hope you feel better soon

MooseWL · 20/03/2023 10:39

@Mummypig23 welcome! Can you work from home at all? That's making it easier for me to be able to work. I'm exactly the same, don't remember it being this bad last time (though it was bad I was sick every day until 22 weeks!) But I don't remember feeling sick all night too! Unless I've just blocked out how bad it was!
@Chellooo I nearly threw up in my car on the 5 min journey back from nursery today. Managed to make it to the bathroom but omg it was close. Bad bad times.

Thanks @SnookyPook I am still SO shocked, we can't actually believe it! 🥹

DollyGx · 20/03/2023 11:03

Hi ladies, can I join? Currently 6w+3. Due date I think is around 12th nov but I know I ovulated late so it’s likely to be later than that. Had a missed miscarriage last year that was only picked up at my 12 week scan so anxiety is pretty bad just now. Got an 8 week scan booked for a couple of weeks time so just counting down the days until then, so convinced it’s all going to go wrong again, anyone else had a successful pregnancy after MC? I don’t think I’m going to enjoy one minute of this 😭 had some cramping over the weekend, kind of similar to period pains but also like a bit of a tightening feeling over my lower tummy? I’m hoping it’s just things changing down there and nothing sinister but I can’t help but worry 😓

HayleyD93 · 20/03/2023 12:20

Hi, I'm slightly nervous about jumping on this thread, i joint one in December and resulted in a chemical a week later.
I done my 1st tests using cheap 10ml and Easy@ home strips. Top ones in picture is Saturday, leading down to this morning. Slightly worried as since Thursday night I've been taking co-codamol and ibuprofen but stopped both as soon as I seen the line.
Had heartburn Saturday afternoon and again now this morning, no idea if its related or not.
Apps put my due date 29th November. Im going to do clearblue test tomorrow as that is the date I'm due on and also have first response early and raid tests I'm cupboard if needed

Due November 2023 ✨
TMI2000 · 20/03/2023 12:45

Hi all!
Fairly certain I might have posted at some point within the thread already but I got my BFP on the Thursday just gone! I should be due at some point in November however I had a mc at the start of February and I haven't had a visit from AF since so hard for me to date until I see the midwives.
I am putting off seeing the midwives or anything as I am so worried, constantly checking my symptoms and worrying if I don't have any, changing tests and being worried if they are faint! I feel like mc has taken all the fun out of pregnancy.
Currently waiting for a second blood test to test my HCG and Progesterone and if these are good I might relax, just a bit! I just need to stop the obsessive testing!
I haven't had many symptoms yet, feel tired all the time, few twinges in the boobs and belly and some dry retching but no sickness yet!

iGotADilemma · 20/03/2023 13:07

I'm 8 weeks today and the nausea is just horrendous. It seems to get worse day by day. Not looking forward to weeks 9 and 10 when it's supposed to be at its worst! Nothing seems to help. Hoping to get some meds from the doctor, I'll be grateful if they take the edge off

NatGee · 20/03/2023 14:49

@iGotADilemma it's the worst isnt it? Try ginger, citrusy/zingy fruits (grapefruits, kiwis, oranges) and today I couldnt hold anything down apart from chicken broth. Actually feel much better after having it. Good luck

NatGee · 20/03/2023 14:51
