@NSx no only 4+4 from LMP. For me it's only a couple of days different now that I've looked it up!

DSP21 · 20/02/2023 14:24

@DSP21 were they both taken at the same time of day? My frer were so much lighter with fmu but really strong on an Evening

NSx · 20/02/2023 14:33

@IaminRome i will maybe do a frer on Wednesday I haven’t tested on a frer since 18/02 so I’ll see how I go it was an ok colour then but I want a dye stealer 😅

DSP21 · 20/02/2023 14:39

@amybooth both were taken in the afternoon (3pm and 2pm) my frers are definitely darker in the afternoon as I drink so much water in the night and always pee!

buckingmad · 20/02/2023 14:49

@DSP21 I saw someone post on either this thread or another about how results can vary so much between tests. Your wee might be more diluted, dye levels might be different etc. I know it's so difficult but I would try and not test for a few days and relax (easier said than done I know!).

@OrionNebula fab news. Could you see baby's heartbeat too?? How many weeks are you? Congrats

SnookyPook · 20/02/2023 15:00

@MeganC104 oh lovely! Hi! Although as @buckingmad said my due date with my first deffo changed after scan!

@IaminRome I always found rice crackers perfect with my first when I was slightly nauseous but hungry! On another note, are you in Rome, Italy? I used to live in Tor Marancia (near Garbatella)!

SnookyPook · 20/02/2023 15:18

@buckingmad did you say you've reported to your GP? I'm sure when I excitedly rang with my first they fobbed me off to midwives and then the midwives didn't want to hear from until closer to 7wks?! Should I be informing someone now? Haha I feel clueless again 😄

Thank you Smile I am 7+ 1. They had to do internal as they couldn't see anything on the abdominal (too early) so that was a bit of a nerve-wracking moment. But when they did the internal, everything was fine. Still got due date of 8th Oct.

Kate33ttc · 20/02/2023 15:48

Pretty sure I'm having another early loss. Got my positive on Friday and today the line is hardly there with first morning urine. I didn't really let myself get excited this time because its happened twice before. Still disappointed though

Almasita · 20/02/2023 16:15

Hiya, it's my first one too (IVF baby), I was told I can do a scan from 6 weeks, a viability scan, at this early stage they're recommend a trans-vaginal scan as is easier to see.

Needtobuildabridge · 20/02/2023 16:15

@ukMummyof1 What test are they? They look like the Freedom Brand?

The talk around line progression/hcg levels had me feeling a bit anxious, as I'm 4+6 weeks and hadn't had a test line darker than control.

But have been using amazon cheapies so decided to use my last frer and got this absolute dye stealer, so fingers crossed its a good sign

Hello! Congratulations to you all.

Hope you all don't mind me joining! Got my bfp on 28th January! Lmp started 28th December. Based on this I would currently be 7 + 5. I had tested for ovulation which was confirmed by bloods at the doctors meaning that I think I am currently 6 + 6.

I went for an early scan on Friday as I had 4 early miscarriages before 6 weeks last year, and just wanted some reassurance.

My early scan showed that we are expecting identical twins! And the sonographer said she could see two heartbeats. However, she also said that by measurements i was 4 + 6? This means that I would have conceived the day I got my positive test.

I didn't think you could see a heartbeat that early, so is there a chance they are just measuring small since they are twins?

Any experience or advice would be much appreciated!

Thanks everyone

buckingmad · 20/02/2023 16:32

@DaniRose94 congrats! Twins! How amazing.

I thought heartbeats weren't until 5 weeks tbh. I would definitely go by your ovulation date, no idea about twins being small sorry. I'd have thought they would grow same as a single baby for this very early stage where space and nutrients aren't as much of an issue. Was this a private early scan or NHS? I'd be tempted to speak to a midwife about dates if you're worried or book another scan for in another week or two.

Seeing the heartbeats is a very good first step though!

DaniRose94 · 20/02/2023 16:36

@buckingmad thank you! Bit of a shock when we already have 2 kids aged 3 and 1, weren't expecting twins at all!

It was a private scan. I have spoke to midwife who has booked me in for an nhs one on 9th of March. Still going crazy though! Needed to talk to stop be going stir crazy before then !

Amazing congratulations 🎉 can I ask, how were ur Amazon cheapies? im using one step cheapies at the minute, but waiting to use my frer 😂 as I’d love a dye stealer haha x

overgrowngrass · 20/02/2023 16:44

So sorry to hear that @Kate33ttc

overgrowngrass · 20/02/2023 16:45

Is anyone else finding that they just don’t care about ANYTHING else since testing positive? It’s all I can think about, I couldn’t give two hoots less about work 🙈 I just want to stay home all day and obsess about the baby!

NSx · 20/02/2023 16:46

@Kate33ttc im so sorry 🤍🤍🤍 sending you big hugs

VictoriaBlossom · 20/02/2023 16:52

@overgrowngrass yep this is me

Needtobuildabridge · 20/02/2023 16:57

@overgrowngrass Oh yes. @Chanteuse and I were talking about this on the last thread. We are both teachers. Before half term, I just didn't care about anything 🙈. My lesson inputs were basic, followed by "okay, get on then".

I've regained a little bit of care this week (nearly 8 weeks pregnant now) so maybe it'll come back for you? 😂

Chanteuse · 20/02/2023 17:02

@Needtobuildabridge me too! But I feel like I’ve ran a marathon pretending today 😩😂

I had to get up in the middle of the night to eat a breakfast bar. It was that or vomit 😂 I think I’m going to get some rice cakes etc to snack on as my nausea is so so much worse when I’m hungry.

My sense of smell is also off the charts! Had poor DH up the wall night night as I could smell something horrible in our bedroom and he couldn’t smell it 😩

Summer022 · 20/02/2023 17:08

I am 5 weeks today and still have absolutely no symptoms other than tiredness which isn’t unusual anyway! I have tired myself out worrying about it though so I’m just going to have to wait and see what happens. I had a dye stealer today on a test so I do hope that’s a good sign. I really want to do an early private scan, but have already booked one for 8 weeks. I don’t know if I have the strength to hold out another 3 weeks for that one, I just want to know everything is in the right place or if there’s a heartbeat because I don’t feel very pregnant at all right now. Xx
