Good luck @Franklin321 hope not waiting too long and everything is ok xx

Blocklynn · 24/02/2023 16:21

@Franklin321 hope you get seen soon and everything is ok xx

Franklin321 · 24/02/2023 16:37

Thanks all, got a pretty solid plan going forward. Daily CTG, steroid injections (what a killer) and section brought forward to Wednesday 1st! Hopefully the next few days go smoothly and we can go in for the calm section I’m hoping for 🤞

allthingssparkly · 24/02/2023 17:48

Hope everything is ok @Franklin321 and you get some answers 🤞 x

JTB123 · 24/02/2023 15:32

It fell out which means it's the right cm for them to be able to pop my waters! 🤞🏻

Erm I guess they're pretty good but I've been on the ball (how mine broke last time) and no luck and I'm not contracting anymore!

Been waiting for a bed on a Labour ward since 8, and there is still 1x person in front of me to go up 🫠🫠

Ooo I see!

Just a shame about the long wait for a bed on the labour ward isn't it 😣 hopefully you get moved tonight 🤞 I didnt know that this balloon method could make your contractions stop and start. I had the pessary both times with my children and just remember things ramping up quickly within a matter of hours of it being inserted. I suppose they all work differently for each individual.

havananana · 24/02/2023 19:49

Omg queueing to labour 😟 do you just have to sit in a waiting area on a chair?!

I'm 38+1 today, absolutely knackered, thank god it's weekend and my maternity leave finally starts soon 😮‍💨

Mrs2022 · 24/02/2023 20:51

Congratulations to everyone who has had their babies and good luck to those who are still waiting. My wee man was born this morning at 36 weeks via planned section due to major placenta previa and queried accreta. Everything went as well as it could have done and he's a tiny 5lb! 💙

TeddyBeans · 24/02/2023 20:52

@havananana probably on a bed in a ward rather than a chair in a waiting room 😁

Who wants to bet on whether I'll have a Feb or March baby!? Being induced on Monday at 10pm so Tuesday night/Wednesday morning isn't too far fetched. Will I make it to March or will she be here in the dying hours of February??

Suchardchoccy · 24/02/2023 21:37

Thank you everyone!! She weighed 3.35kg or 7 lbs 6 oz. Good luck to everyone who are still waiting 🤞🏻 it will be over soon! And congratulations to everyone who have got their babies already 💜
@TeddyBeans i hope your induction on Monday is a smooth labour and birth for you 🤞🏻

Congratulations @Saltandpepperr and @Mrs2022! 💙xx

Rainbowbaby23 · 24/02/2023 22:52

I’m so jealous of everyone that’s had their babies!!
I can’t believe how close we all are, I can still remember when this threat just started!

Room4onemore · 24/02/2023 22:59

Congratulations @Mrs2022 xx

BabyNumber3OnTheWay · 25/02/2023 00:58

Just updating here as I’ve only updated in the Facebook group, I had my valentines baby on the 14th at 38wks weighing 7lb 5oz, totally in love 💙 Congratulations to all who have also had their babies and a massive good luck to those still waiting, sending lots of love xx

Choc2022 · 25/02/2023 01:40

Congratulations to all who have had their babies. Wish you all the joy and happiness!! It'd be nice (if doable) for PP updates also :)

@Cats23 I am due 23rd and finish Friday 17th. I work from home and luckily its flexible so I would want to max out the other side. I guess it could depend on your working conditions? I also wanted to leave starting maternity pay as long as I could.

@TeddyBeans I think 1st March.

Choc2022 · 25/02/2023 01:41

@Franklin321 happy to hear all is well and a plan is in place. Hoping the plan is relieving anxieties.

Splashh · 25/02/2023 03:34

Unbelievably my waters started leaking just as I went to bed. Have been admitted, contractions every 3-5 mins… 🤞🏽

iratepirate · 25/02/2023 03:34

Good luck @Splashh

Room4onemore · 25/02/2023 04:12

Good luck @Splashh, hope things are moving along nicely

allthingssparkly · 25/02/2023 04:18

Good luck @Splashh 😊🤞👣

Blocklynn · 25/02/2023 06:33

All these babies being born makes me want to meet mine 🫣
We went to visit the birth centre yesterday and I definitely want to give birth there if possible, little one has to stay put until at least next Friday when I’m 37 weeks or they won’t accept me.
So now I’m worrying about every tweak and new feeling 🤦‍♀️😂

JB2021 · 25/02/2023 07:17

@Blocklynn glad you managed to visit St Mary's. Its lovely isn't it.

If I can't birth there, I'm going for after care. Apparently if you let hospital know that ASAP you're likely to get discharged earlier too

Blocklynn · 25/02/2023 07:45

@JB2021 yes it was really nice. And was totally empty so we got to look in both rooms and the ward. I’m glad we ended up with a one to one visit as we had a conversation about my feelings regarding examinations I wouldn’t have felt comfortable sharing with a room full of strangers.
Yes I would ask to be transferred for after care there. The midwife said if the hospital tells me St Mary’s is full for aftercare not to believe them and phone them myself.
