@Belami @thedust @dresslol
Brill. With my first daughter I had a couple of pregnant friends but this time it’s just me!

@Belami I have awful uncomfortableness this time round. It’s very tricky when you’re not comfortable to do everyday tasks!

LT103 · 08/03/2023 09:21

@Belami def chase it up. I called to self refer to obstetric physio at my maternity hospital yest. Got a call this morning saying they do online pelvic girdle classes on wednesdays so she’s booked me in today. Said if exercises don’t help they’ll get me in in next couple weeks

firsttimelondonmummy · 08/03/2023 09:25

@C1umsyGiraffe we’ve booked Bump & Baby.
We start them as soon as we are back from our holiday.
It’s nice to be away whilst it’s so cold at home.
I had a plate fitted in my arm last summer after a bad break and it does not agree with the cold!
Anyone else on/ about to take their last trip away?

Thanks for your reply @LT103 as long as baby is ok that's my main worry

summerpoolandsun · 08/03/2023 09:31

Where are you @firsttimelondonmummy ?Sounds lovely and warm.

im debating a last minute get away, especially as it’s now snowing!!!

firsttimelondonmummy · 08/03/2023 11:21

@summerpoolandsun we’ve just headed to Lanzarote for 10 days.
It’s 22-26 degrees so a nice temperature and because it’s off season it’s lovely and quiet.
With starting a new job at 16 weeks pregnant and being insanely busy it was definitely needed 😂

Babybaby66 · 08/03/2023 11:29

I’ve also started getting some pelvic pain but it’s generally after some light exercise (walking) or first thing in the morning when I’m a bit stiff so I’m hoping it doesn’t progress in to anything else.

im in Tenerife and it’s amazing to be away while it’s snowing at home. also at over 26 weeks it’s the first time in months I haven’t thrown up for more than three days so I’m enjoying it all while it lasts!

ImHopeful2023 · 08/03/2023 17:04

It's awful @Belami isn't it as long as baby is ok that's all I'm stressing about still wish I felt her more some days feel her loads and others she quieter like today

summerpoolandsun · 08/03/2023 17:59

@firsttimelondonmummy and @Babybaby66
Canaries sounds wonderful, enjoy. Well deserved.

Im debating Greece over Easter, would be fab to have a break…

@ImHopeful2023 I felt the same today with a panic that I hadn’t felt her in a while. DH said you’ve often felt this panic and then the next day or in the evening she kicks loads which is true. But there’s still no pattern. I’m not sure really if there will be one. Maybe at 28 weeks? I’m 26 weeks tomorrow.

Zaalfruit · 08/03/2023 22:13

@firsttimelondonmummy I am so jealous I went Lanzarote in 2022 March and I loved it . It’s was shoulder season so nice and quite. Ooh I hope you are enjoying mocktails . 😂😂 it’s so dear to my heart Lanzarote first holiday post pandemic with a toddler ! This year I’m hoping we can go on holiday by end of August if I’m feeing brave enough.

In terms of kicks - I don’t feel a pattern yet :/ just when I drink it feels like she’s gets annoyed and punches and kicks me so I feel
unwell.

DrinkingAllTheGin · 08/03/2023 22:20

The only pattern to the kicks I can tell you is that every time DH puts his hand on my bump, bubs stops kicking. Even if it's been nothing but kicks all day!

Babybaby66 · 09/03/2023 06:02

@DrinkingAllTheGin totally agree with this!! She could be kicking away like mad bad as soon as his hand comes anywhere near she freezes…!

im able to see movement from the outside now, my stomach will move with the kicks…!

Babybaby66 · 09/03/2023 06:07

Also im
confused about when you’re in the third trimester - my apps seem to all disagree…not that it really matters I guess but just wondering when others count from? Week 27 or week 28?

PurBal · 09/03/2023 06:39

@Babybaby66 I would go from 28w. Because of the increased survival rate of babies born at this gestation.

C1umsyGiraffe · 09/03/2023 07:30

@DrinkingAllTheGin @Babybaby66 I'm the same! As soon as he try's to feel a kick she stops moving... so frustrating! I can tell he's feeling down about it and I want him to feel part of the pregnancy too 😞

summerpoolandsun · 09/03/2023 11:00

I know what you mean about the other half not feeling the kicks, I tell him to touch really lightly. I find if he touches too firmly she stops completely!

I’m also seeing third trimester as 28 weeks+ but it is written down in places differently

Babybaby66 · 09/03/2023 14:50

Thanks all - I’ll go for 28 weeks as well then :)

Kladebs · 09/03/2023 16:07

I think most go for 28 weeks.

I've been in tears today with back, hip and shoulder pain. All I've done is the school runs, a load of washing and ran a bath! I got a support belt but it's a tad too big at the mo. I've been stressing over housework, but I've now realised over doing it getting it done won't help.
Thinking of upping my eldest child's chores, she's 19 and currently does the pots on weekdays and the odd hoover around. Do you think that's fair?

Happinessandrainbows · 09/03/2023 17:18

Yeah, NHS recognises 28w as beginning of the 3rd trimester x

Belami · 10/03/2023 07:39

Anyone else feel a bit trapped in the house with this weather ? Looks beautiful but I'm petrified of slipping!!

summerpoolandsun · 10/03/2023 08:01

@Belami Me too! DH did the school run as it was so sloshy on the way to school. Awful weather. Went for coffee with a friend yesterday and she said this feels like the longest winter. And do you remember around this time in lockdown there bright sunshine for months…I mean in contrast this winter seems never ending. Just want a bit of sun now! Glad to be having a summer baby 🌞

justbelieve · 10/03/2023 08:02

I’ve had a super organised week baby wise, just need to finalise bookings this weekend!

Going for a 4d scan when we’re 28 weeks, which I’m very excited for!

Booked our NCT antenatal classes which start at 32 weeks until 37 weeks (which sounds so close to baby coming but it’s what they recommended!)

Decided we’re doing a baby first aid course with Daisy First Aid. Will book that in this weekend 👍🏻

My little sister has planned me a baby shower for when I’m 32 weeks. I know nothing except that afternoon tea-type food will be involved! Very sweet of her 🥰

Last thing to think about course-wise is whether I want to do hypnobirthing. I think I’d really enjoy it, but wondered if anyone had any experience / had also booked a course and who you’ve gone with?

Kladebs · 10/03/2023 09:14

@Belami I want to be trapped in the house lol been praying the primary school would close so I didn't have to do the school run or go work but they're one of the few staying open 🙄🤣
It's not been too bad here Tbf, mainly the slush on the estate

BellaTheDarkOverlord · 10/03/2023 11:07

School closed for us due to heavy snow so dd1 is in her bedroom playing schools with her dolls and I'm still in bed. Sore throat is back and hurts to swallow. Niece has scarlet fever and dd1 was with her last weekend so I'm praying it's not that.

Dd2 has been wiggly this morning. Trying to work out if she's head down or not. Going to have a late breakfast shortly and a coffee. I have midwife again next Friday and then consultant week after. I'm going to go in all prepared to fight for ECS.

firsttimelondonmummy · 10/03/2023 12:16

@Zaalfruit it’s been lovely so far.
We are staying at the MYND Yaiza (I’d highly recommend).
They have a relax (adults only) and family complex.
Lovely hotel and in walking distance to the beach.
Feels like it’s flying by though as we only have 6 days left now 😭
