I've finally popped at 25 weeks 😅

C1umsyGiraffe · 03/03/2023 12:15

Anyone have any recommendations for maternity gym leggings?

PurBal · 03/03/2023 14:07

@C1umsyGiraffe I like Love Leggings but not tried their gym wear specifically.
@Hlc86 love the pic!

DrinkingAllTheGin · 03/03/2023 17:49

@Hlc86 you look fab. I wish I looked as neat at 25 week.
I'm 25+5 and feel the size of a house.

Started interviewing for my mat cover today. It's odd to be interviewing my replacement!

firsttimelondonmummy · 03/03/2023 23:39

@DrinkingAllTheGin I’ve suggested covering my mat leave with a secondment rather than an external hire.
I am only taking 7 months and so it makes more sense in my eyes.
It also gives someone in the business an opportunity to test drive a new channel/ role.
I’m also far too possessive of my accounts (National sales role) to risk someone coming in and trying to keep my role 🤣

Baby had hiccups this morning!! This is the first time I've noticed her do this movement anyway :-) DM and DH both felt from outside too. I can't tell the difference between a punch or a kick but I definitely felt the little hiccups which was so nice :-)

@Hlc86 looking good - do you find that you get even bigger on the evening or are you that size all of the time? I'm very nearly 24 weeks and I feel I am on the verge of popping (fingers crossed)! I have a very polite bump first thing in the morning but my belly is soooo much bigger/bloated once I start eating or have a drink and in the evening I feel like it's stretched Blush

Ally1992 · 04/03/2023 09:20

Just blacked out in the supermarket, first time I felt like that all this pregnancy! An employee ran over with a wheelchair and 2 minutes later it was like nothing had happened 😅

DrinkingAllTheGin · 04/03/2023 09:21

@firsttimelondonmummy my role is a little different and business critical to have it manned every day. The company ate offering a 14 month contract so I train them before I go on leave.
It might well be an internal candidate though.

Hlc86 · 04/03/2023 09:45

@toomanysausages it does get and feel bigger in the evening to the point it really hurts and feels so stretched, then in the morning it's back down again, the pop is definitely coming tho

PurBal · 04/03/2023 09:49

@Ally1992 are you okay?

I'm in the huge club. I get asked almost everyday when I’m due. And I’m like NOT FOR AGES.

BellaTheDarkOverlord · 04/03/2023 09:54

I'm huge too! People have now started actually asking instead of assuming I'm just fat. I get huge towards the evening and I feel like I'm going to pop. Feel so stretched. So sore still under the ribs.

I'm not getting maternity replacement but I have open investigations at work which I think will be passed to someone to keep an eye on. I'll try get them as near to finished as possible though so hopefully not much to do with them. Working lates this weekend and I'm so tired.

summerpoolandsun · 04/03/2023 13:34

Im also showing quite a bit of a bump now, a school mum asked me outright the other day and I’ve been trying to hide it…she was lovely though and said she could help with pickups and dropoffs if I’m tired.

Told another school mum though and she said she wouldn’t have known so I still feel I don’t need to announce which is nice as I don’t like the fuss.

My son felt baby for the first time yesterday. I’m 25 weeks now. He was amazed to feel her. It was a really lovely moment, especially after all the heartache of infertility. Feel like this might actually truly be our time

Zaalfruit · 04/03/2023 14:52

@Hlc86 you look good and yay baby bump - so cute .

I am on the team - are you due soon FML LOL but with my first pregnancy I kept it hidden until 32 weeks and then suddenly out of no where I got a bump 😂😂😂

I hope you are okay @Ally1992 !! Try and take it easy .( I know easier said )

For some reason this pregnancy it feels so bitter sweet - guilt that I can’t give my toddler attention . Guilt that I can’t make time for the baby and I forgot to take my meds because I’m so busy .

firsttimelondonmummy · 04/03/2023 15:05

@DrinkingAllTheGin no difference, mine will also need to be filled full time I’d just prefer it was an internal secondment.
I always think it’s awkward when it’s an external and the person on mat leave returns. 😬

Anyone else getting super tight bellies, I'm assuming it's braxton hicks and it's been happening for a while but today there is no let up and it just been tight all day. My legs ache too, so iv had a super long bath, and it all feels the same. It's so uncomfortable, even babys kicks are feeling uncomfortable atm. I'm 27 weeks

Yes! Weirdly today all day too and I have been sitting on my hands trying not to google it. I can’t feel distinct contractions so I don’t think it is braxton hicks, but it’s tight/hard/uncomfortable for hours. I’ve been drinking more which is helping and lying on my side seems to ease it off too. I think it might be just where everything is growing/stretching ?

Ally1992 · 04/03/2023 17:27

@PurBal @Zaalfruit thank you and I’m ok now, I think I was too hot and my back was hurting so the combination wasn’t great!

theblueflowers · 04/03/2023 17:40

@tigerlily0 I had exactly this on Wednesday- it went on all day and my stomach felt super hard and uncomfortable. I then had the worst leg cramps that night, so I wonder if it is connected. I've really tried to up the water intake which I think is helping. Still had the cramps on Thursday, but last night was the best night sleep I had in a while.

tigerlily0 · 04/03/2023 23:35

Yea I think I need to definitely up my water in take, I don't eat very well either, just so tired and out of breath most of the time. Struggling to tidy up as well because I just can't bend down to pick things up. Looking for a cleaner now to help

DrinkingAllTheGin · 05/03/2023 00:02

When I pick things up off the floor I look like a giraffe taking a drink of water!

C1umsyGiraffe · 05/03/2023 07:32

My belly gets tight like that every so often for like 10-15 seconds then goes soft again, I feel like I can feel exactly where she is which is really cool! I think it might be braxton hicks? But I'm not too sure!

BellaTheDarkOverlord · 05/03/2023 14:03

Usually baby feels lively so much like constant movements all day. She's been very quiet the last two days. I can feel kicks but it's not as lively as she was before. Wondering if I should speak to midwife tomorrow.

HalWin2221 · 05/03/2023 16:30

@BellaTheDarkOverlord this happened to me a couple of days ago, I ended up going to to triage because I was worried. My BP was 145/98 when I got there but went down after we heard his heart beat. I’m glad I went for peace of mind & if my BP was like that I wouldn’t of wanted it to stay like that in worry. If you’re worried, I’d always say ring! the midwife said he could of just had an active night, so I’m sure your baby is ok 🥰

PrincessLeia22 · 05/03/2023 16:35

Hello - I’m having the same kind of weekend. My baby is usually pretty active but she has felt more subdued over the last couple of days… I have noticed some movement, but definitely not to the same extent. I’m currently 25+6 and wondering if I should be concerned.

BellaTheDarkOverlord · 06/03/2023 13:29

Baby was very wiggly this morning for a while. Glad I felt her. I wonder if she's running out of space so less area to move in? Got midwife again next Friday. I'll keep an eye on her today. It seems she enjoys music in the car on way to work.
