Anyone else 38 weeks pregnant and waiting anxiously for labour

Hi all I'm 38 weeks pregnant and waiting for the big day!!
Anyone else feel like every twinge is it??
I'm so excited and nervous
Nesting like mad cleaning everything cant sleep how do you feel anything I should be looking out for xx

I too hope to go naturally I'm just loosing patience I think 🤔 it's those braxton hicks so deflating 🤯

Has anyone else lost their appetite? I'm 40 weeks tomorrow, but the last couple of days I can't stomach eating anything from the afternoon onwards.

I really thought last night was it!!!
Hubby even had day off work so annoying 🙄

Yeah appetite gone

literally had a glass of milk for tea if I eat if i eat too much the heart burn is unbearable so can't win 😒😒😒

I eat little and staggered

I thought it was it a couple if nights ago when braxton hicks were all in my back too pretty consistently but just another false alarm

Oh No bet its even more frustrating when you have husband waiting around for the day expectantly as well!

Oh I'm the opposite with appetite! I don't know where its come from all of a sudden but the past two days I could eat everything in sight!

I dont normally have much of an appetite so it feels so strange to be thinking about food so much! I was eating cheerios at 6am 🤦‍♀️

Pretty frustrating having him at home for nothing felt so guilty but what can you do!! At least I git out of school run 🤣🤣

I've had no cravings for anything unfortunately I think I've been cheated !!

The only thing is smelling cleaning products so weird
I just love to smell anything cleaning related

I craved salt and vinegar(which i hate) in the first trimester, but no real craving since then luckily I've only had a couple weeks across the pregnancy where my appetite has gone crazy so managed to not put on masses of weight but it still throws me off when I have the days of constant hunger, I ate an apple in the bath at lunchtime 🤣

Hope all is going well @stockpilingallthecheese !

Nothing at all happening here! No bh, cramps or anything. My appetite has increased majorly and I'm eating so much then feeling uncomfortable for it and it sets the acid reflux off.🤦🏼‍♀️

Incredibly tired too.

I have tried every conceivable pillow configuration tonight, tossed and turned countless times and every time my legs especially are just saying no, no, NO!

Oh I cannot wait to be able to lay in bed without hip pain, or restless legs, and oh to be able to sleep on my back or my tummy right now would be Heaven ...

This! I am exhausted by the end of each day but can never get more than a few hours' sleep because I'm just so uncomfortable.

I am looking for signs of labour all the bloody time. Last night, my pee was coming out slow (sorry TMI) and I thought, aaaaah that must be because the head is right there... Tonight is the night... But no. Peeing normally now. No UTI.

Lovely MIL is texting to ask how I am, bless her- I think she really wants to ask if anything's happening, but doesn't want to be annoying! It must be really weird for her- I keep thinking how I'd feel and how invested I'd be if my first GC was due any day. She's making an effort not to be overbearing, which is really thoughtful.

I know exactly how you feel go to bed absolutely exhausted then can't sleep what's that all about 🤷‍♀️
39 weeks today so close but sometimes think is it ever going to end ???
I feel I've been pregnant forever and I so just want to meet my little man
I was hoping to get to feb now we are here so that's great so happy about that 😄
Anyone tried rasberry leaf tea or pineapple? Think I'm going to start trying a few things hot curry maybe??

I've been drinking raspberry leaf tea for a few weeks and have just bought some pineapple juice. Bouncing on the ball seems to bring on Braxton Hicks for me, I'm so glad the midwife loaned me the gym ball.

Does anyone have a TENS machine ready? My midwife swears by them but it feels weird to me, giving yourself electrical impulses when you're pg! Saying that, I did use one with DS2 and had a lovely, easy labour...

I had in my head all pregnancy I'd go early how wrong was I 🤷‍♀️
Really want to avoid induction never had it before
Was talking to midwife yesterday and she said they just want to induce for anything now they are really hot on induction !!!
If I can avoid I will but got a sweep next week !! 🤞 things will start soon

I'm also not at all keen on an induction and hoping to avoid that at all costs. I had a sweep this morning and have been so uncomfortable since that I almost wish I didn't even have that! Really bad period pains and discomfort.

I'd never heard about pineapple before but I'll be making a smoothie later. Worth a shot! Midwife told me earlier to twiddle my nipple's - I had to laugh at the things we will try just to get things started, but by this point it feels we have been pregnant and waiting forever

Going to try nipple twiddling later on you never know 🤷‍♀️

Sorry for going quiet! But am now mum to a gorgeous little boy!

I'll spare you the details as labour and birth were less than ideal but we are both good and should be heading home tomorrow!
