Ugh me too, 38 + 2 and have been very lucky to have had a very easy pregnancy and carried on as normal but tonight I'm just so bloody uncomfortable 😫 can't breathe properly, cannot get comfy in any position on the sofa or on the ball. Keep flipping between wanting him to come out now, and the absolute horror of what's to come heft 😆😆

Smilesarecontagious · 24/01/2023 21:02

So good to talk to you today so refreshing
I guess we are all in the same boat with the same struggles some good some not so much, but I guess we all muddle through somehow
We will all have our little ones before we know it and hopefully look back on this end stage with rose tinted glasses.🤞🤞
good luck to all you all xx

If you want to chat more in the near future ood bad or ugly I'm absolutely up for that too
Take care all x

39+3 here and very much aware of every twinge. My first was 5/6 days late but I thought this one would be early. I've booked a pregnancy massage for Thursday so hoping baby stays put until after then!

NewandNrvous · 24/01/2023 21:18

Me too! If ever want a chat please send a message! And I hope to see some baby updates soon!

Smilesarecontagious · 24/01/2023 21:25

Yeah that would be lovely 😀
Also any time of day I'll probably be awake!!
Hopefully we will get a good night's sleep tonight 🤞🤞

Congratulations @Smilesarecontagious !! I'm 37 weeks and very aware that labour could start any time now 😬

Jusmakingit · 24/01/2023 21:38

Yes … having all the signs and symptoms now for a few weeks but nothing to show for it. Having a stretch and sweep tomorrow (38+3) because I’m anxious about the labour. This is my second child , first was induced at 37+3 and was horrendous and traumatic. I fell on the ice on Friday and couldn’t walk , still have a very significant amount of pain in my pelvis and groin , it makes me nauseous when I have to use the muscles but luckily nothing broken and baby is fine but my tendons and ligaments are torn :( genuinely excited at the thought of an epidural just to take away this pain lol 😂

NewandNrvous · 24/01/2023 21:42

I've been losing my plug for a week now but tonight it's bloody show, I'm hoping that means my cervix is getting itself ready while also convinced I'm going to have every sign going and still be pregnant at 42 weeks

Smilesarecontagious · 24/01/2023 21:54

Ooooh bloody show that sounds promising fingers crossed for you xx
When I had my bloody show with my first it was within12 hours he was born
Good luck
Exciting times

Oh you're getting my hopes up now! Although not sure how much my partner would love a middle of the night phone call to get his arse on the motorway 🤣

It's so nice having someone at the same stage to talk (moan) to! Thank you for today

Smilesarecontagious · 24/01/2023 22:04

No thankyou it's OK having people to talk but unless you're in the same boat it's sometimes hard to understand, partners can only relate so much !!
I'm just about to watch Belfast midwives so I'll be up a bit longer if things progress and you want to chat

NewandNrvous · 24/01/2023 22:12

Aha I'm watching one born 🤣

Morning all! 38+2 here, glad to hear we're all in the same boat ☺️
I have a 15 month old and also moving house on Friday, so it's all a bit crazy here 😅 I'm dying to clean and get organised but instead I'm surrounded by toys and boxes. Been getting lots of BH and sharp shooting pains, lower back ache and PGP is in full force. My son who usually sleeps through the night seems to be anticipating the upcoming change and it's waking at 4am every morning, I've never felt so tired 🥱.
I was early with him, had him at 39+3 so I'm a little anxious this one is coming early too, just hoping she at least holds off until next week so I can organise the new house x

Smilesarecontagious · 25/01/2023 09:01

"lockdownbabyx"
Wow you don't do things by halves!!!
Congratulations
Hope all runs smoothly Friday 🤞🤞
Good luck

@Smilesarecontagious I know tell me about it 😅. We were supposed to move in November, but it was delayed as always.

How are you feeling? X

Peonies94 · 25/01/2023 11:13

39 + 4 snd feeling really fed up! Since 39 weeks I’ve found that I’m just really tired and fed up of waiting! Really just want to know when she’s going to appear!
i have this weird feeling that she’s going to keep me waiting until 42 weeks! I’ve been offered a sweep for 40+6 if she doesn’t arrive snd then induction at 13 days over!!

PotatoFacedWombat · 25/01/2023 11:29

Aaaah I've found my people! Am 38 weeks today and after being high risk of early labour, I've finally been allowed to relax during this last week. I was all geared up to give birth early so it's weird still being pregnant!

Went for a brisk walk last night, and had an almighty contraction after I went to bed... Or it might have been wind! I'd forgotten how similar early labour is to that feeling that you're about to get the runs!

Also am DTD with DP at least once a day, I think he's ready to become a monk after all this! We weren't allowed to before 37 weeks because of the early labour risk and I've really missed it, not just the sex part but the intimacy. I've been very emotional these last few weeks too, oversensitive and unreasonable quite a lot of the time.

Good luck to all, especially lockdownbabyx who has my utmost respect! Moving house at 38 weeks?! I can barely move my coffee mug from the sofa to the kitchen!

FebMama · 25/01/2023 12:35

Oh my gosh @lockdownbabyx hats off to you for moving house being so heavily pregnant. Rolling over in bed is hard enough at the moment!!

37+6 here and feel like baby is going to come falling out of me every time I stand or go for a wee!!

NewandNrvous · 25/01/2023 12:59

Wow I want a nap after doing laundry and cleaning bathrooms nevermind moving house! Well done you!

I'm so glad there's others feeling the same way, the mom guilt has hit already that I'm being impatient and not grateful for the extra time he has cooking 🤦‍♀️

lockdownbabyx · 25/01/2023 14:32

Thanks all, never planned to move this late in pregnancy but here we are. Can't say I'm doing much, just standing in the corner barking orders at my DP 😂.

Same here with rolling over in bed, can't wait to sleep on my stomach again x

Smilesarecontagious · 26/01/2023 07:51

Feeling good today thanks although another crap night's sleep and sore hips from side sleeping! Midwife later today 😊

Smilesarecontagious · 26/01/2023 08:01

Nothing worse than a bads night sleep I'm sure we'll get more when the babies are here!!!
I woke up with bh so annoying when they lead nowhere 🙄

NewandNrvous · 26/01/2023 09:00

I managed to get my braxton hicks session out of the way earlier in the evening last night so actually went to sleep without much pain for a change, I was then awake at 4 with weird dreams 🤦‍♀️🤣 it's a losing game haha

Thank you! It's not until this afternoon but final check and consultant visit Will hopefully leave us clear for the waterbirth when he decides to make his entrance 🤞
