No not the first but to be honest I don't recognise anything from this pregnancy it's soooo different and so much harder
I've never had sleep deprivation never felt hands inside pelvis 🤢 never found walking so hard never obsessive cleaned never felt on a never ending roller coster
I think I'm just at the stage where I'm ready to meet him and forget about the end part of this pregnancy
Don't get me wrong I know things could be worse I'm super excited just sooooooo exhausted 😴
Yeah it's the waiting that's mind boggling I've packed and re packed my hospital bags a few times 🤣

I've really suffered with my blood pressure the entire third trimester, it's low anyway but the slightest thing knocks it really low and makes me pass out (which knocks little ones heart rate scarily down) so I've been signed off work for a few weeks since a hospital stay so I just think I've done all the jobs and the relaxing that people wait for at the end of their pregnancy and I'm so ready to just have my baby now

I have a scan on Thursday though and am finding like most things I'm really emotional about the idea if it being the last time we have one for him even though we will literally be seeing him in real life soon after 🤦‍♀️ for an unplanned surprise he really has taken over my heart already

Almost like a challenge I now have little hands grabbing around my pelvis... as much as his movements just seem normal now that one will never feel right I don't think 🤣 I'll take feet in the ribs over hands in the hips anyday!

Hi mumas, I'm 39 weeks today with a boy also and can relate to everything you have each said. I was convinced last night it was the start, and then today absolutely nothing! These last couple of weeks drag the most and I cannot wait to have my body back. I feel like I'm in the body of a 90 year old, just with a baby kangaroo camping out in my uterus. BUT... we are all nearing the end now... She says crossing every part of her body she's still able to

Smilesarecontagious · 24/01/2023 16:46

Oh no I feel for you makes the waiting feel even longer hope your scan goes well on Thurs try not to be sad about it being last scan just see it as a step closer to meeting him in person
Must be hard with your partner working away but you'll soon be a new family all together xx

I hear everything you said "thattravelphotographer"
I can't wait to have my body back also 😂😂

Don't they just take over every single little aspect of your body! So much that people never mention

Smilesarecontagious · 24/01/2023 16:49

" I cannot wait to have my body back. I feel like I'm in the body of a 90 year old, just with a baby kangaroo camping out in my uterus"

Oh I don't know if you know about this one but empty jelly belly after birth lovely!!!!!

But it's all worth it

NewandNrvous · 24/01/2023 17:08

I walked past the mirror last night and realised my belly has now surpassed my boobs, my poor belly button is holding on for dear life to stay an innie and don't even get me started on the horror show shaving was yesterday 🤦‍♀️🤣 and yet we already have conversations about having a second one

Smilesarecontagious · 24/01/2023 17:30

Thought it was just me!!!
Cant see a thing total car crash
Can't see my feet totally disappeared

OP posts:
NewandNrvous · 24/01/2023 17:55

I do legs and bits on different days now because it's such an effort 🤣 have to psyche myself up for it
I just know im going to end up going into labour after I've done one or the other so I'll look half werewolf

Smilesarecontagious · 24/01/2023 17:59

Smilesarecontagious · 24/01/2023 18:02

Ill tell you something quite embarrassing
I had my husband sanding my feet the other night as I wanted "birth ready feet" and I can't reach them !!!
Things we do !!!!

OP posts:
Smilesarecontagious · 24/01/2023 18:03

Literally with sand paper from the painting kit 🤣🤣🤣
Poor hubby 🙊

Oh god I haven't even considered my feet, literally out of sight out of mind 🤣 partner hasn't mentioned them being awful when I plonk them on him for a foot rub but I'm not sure he would be brave enough to complain if they were

Holeymoleymacaroni · 24/01/2023 18:14

I'm 38+2 and can relate to a lot of this! Cannot WAIT to be comfortable in bed again.

However I am not ready for baby to arrive yet so need him to stay put a little bit longer please 🤣 not had any signs so far either - what's strange is much earlier in pregnancy was having awful braxton hicks and cramps really often. Nothing now for weeks.

Smilesarecontagious · 24/01/2023 18:20

Nothing more humbling than feeling like a beached whale trying to turn over in bed at 3am because you need to share the load between both sides

Oh god yes, only a fellow heavily pregnant woman would understand the immense effort required to swap to the other side. Only to then get there and need a wee...

NewandNrvous · 24/01/2023 18:44

Oh I've been close to tears when I've finally got into a somewhat comfortable position and then immediately needed a wee, especially knowing its not a proper wee!

PenguinX · 24/01/2023 18:48

Hi, I'm 38+3 today, feeling a bit sad that I'm not getting any of the pains or twinges everyone else is mentioning. I still feel normal as I have done all pregnancy, I think baby must just be really comfortable. No nesting instinct here either and still getting on with all my day to day stuff (food shopping, visiting family, cooking).
I think because I still feel very "normal" and just like I always do I'm not quite realising how close things might be. I'm not desperate to not be pregnant, really looking forward to meeting baby but I think I'll miss being pregnant

NewandNrvous · 24/01/2023 19:08

We are all going to have little ones in our arms in the next 4ish weeks no matter what pains or symptoms we have before hand so honestly just enjoy your pregnancy if you are still feeling pretty good! Everyone has a different pregnancy experience, even one woman's pregnancy experience can be completely different from one day to the next

You never know you could be the first of us to have your baby, im sure many of the symptoms aren't necessarily indicators of it starting any sooner

My emotions are very split between wanting to keep him safely tucked in my tummy forever and wanting him in my arms immediately (and hopefully being pain free and able to stand for more than 5 minutes without passing out 🤞)
