Also suffering from heartburn! I hate Gaviscon so I take peppermint Rennies instead. I have boxes stashed everywhere 😂

23 weeks and starting to feel more whale like with each passing day. I think around this time there's a lot of growth. Wont even be long until the third trimester 😬

hallodarknessmyoldfriend · 07/03/2023 06:29

Thank you everyone for your advice! I'll try some over the counter stuff ASAP. Flowers

clouise30 · 07/03/2023 10:19

Morning ladies! Please help me decide if I'm going mad 😂!

Nearly 23 weeks and have an anterior placenta but movements definitely getting more and more which is great! Early this morning my partner left for work and I was dozing back to sleep and I could swear the baby did a somersault (she's been kicking VERY low and my bum which has been... delightful 😂) and it was like her bum (I assume) stuck out of the top of my bump and moved all along! I can remember exactly how it felt but I can't for the life of me decide if I was dreaming and made this up 😂. Is this type of movement possible at 23 weeks?? I will say her kicks are a lot higher up this morning which makes me think her legs are up now rather than down!

babybrainfart · 07/03/2023 11:35

@clouise30 I'm certain I've felt a handful of somersaults in the last week or so, I'm 21 weeks.

babybrainfart · 07/03/2023 11:37

I went to the doctors and have been prescribed omeprazole and it's been amazing so far. The heartburn was just adding to the misery of also having spd and struggling with that. I had horrendous heartburn and reflux with my other two, so I know it would only get worse.

rach971 · 07/03/2023 16:06

@clouise30 I'm 19 weeks with an anterior placenta and I've felt some low down kicks. Felt some tickles but I'm not certain if that's baby movement or not. Not felt much in the last day and a half so I'm a bit worried but trying to remind myself how small they are, and the fact I have an anterior placenta. Got the 20 week scan on Thursday so looking forward to that

@habiller Which one did you go for?

Rutennotou · 08/03/2023 18:23

@habiller Exciting! We got ours a couple of weeks ago, went for a double one (Ickle Bubba) as DD turns two next month and won't quite be ready for distances without a pram just yet. Then can switch this little lady into one of DDs older ones when the time comes. Just need a new car seat now really.

I'm having real trouble with dizzy spells, nausea and tiredness. Happens no matter how well fed or hydrated I am. I had breakfast this morning, felt great when I got up. About 10 minutes later I had awful nausea, sweating, dizziness and felt drained of energy. This has happened several times today and a few times a week for the past couple of weeks. I have a midwife appointment on the 20th and don't know if i I should wait or try to get seen before that. I think it might be low blood pressure but I'm really not sure.

dunkedbiscuit · 08/03/2023 19:48

@Rutennotou it maybe worth also getting checked for anemia? Low iron levels can do
odd things! Hope they get to the bottom
of it, it sounds horrid

@dunkedbiscuit I am taking pregnancy supplements but maybe isn't enough iron in them. I tend to avoid iron as I have haemochromatosis but my bloods have been normal since my last pregnancy (pregnancy fixed it 🤣)

@habiller Yes, I'm getting tested on April 6th, GD has crossed my mind but don't really know what symptoms to be looking for beyond the more thirsty etc ones!

rach971 · 09/03/2023 07:42

Got my 20w scan in less than two hours, eeeek! So nervous. I absolutely dread going for scans until I'm actually in there and everything looks okay

Hi everyone, had a little break from here, hope everyone is doing well! I’m 24 weeks and I have such bad flu. Walking from bed to the toilet is such an effort. I’ve just washed my hair and I feel drained. I really hope it passes soon. I’ve had the flu jab too!

BackOfTheMum5net · 09/03/2023 17:43

How’d it go @rach971 ? Hope you have a lovely baby pic and all good news.

I went for my whooping cough injection today - I see being prioritised for jabs as a pregnancy perk!

septembersapphire7 · 09/03/2023 18:26

Hi hope everyone is doing ok..
I just sent off my matb1 form and for my maternity leave dates confirmed.. let the countdown begin!

you’ve just reminded me to book my whooping cough injection too @BackOfTheMum5net. will hopefully get that sorted on my day off next week.

dunkedbiscuit · 09/03/2023 19:50

Oh no @bubble55 that sounds horrible! Hope you start feeling better soon

hope all went well today @rach971

MamaSJ15 · 09/03/2023 20:46

Hi all, been catching up, I'm terrible for keeping up to date on here!
How's everyone doing, well I hope?
I'm 21 weeks and finally started feeling some bigger kicks from baby which is lovely 😊

MountainLaurel7 · 09/03/2023 21:17

Hey everyone, I have a question for those who have gotten baby carriers before: did you prefer the ergonomic ones with buckles and straps or the wrap-style ones? I can't figure out which would be better...😵‍💫

dunkedbiscuit · 09/03/2023 21:29

@MountainLaurel7 I used both last time, the stretchy wrap style when DS was a little baby and then a more structured one with straps / buckles etc as he got bigger and my back needed more support to carry him
