I’m 16+4 today and all day I’ve had period pains and back pain. Has anyone else had this? I spoke to mw and she was fine and said it’s mild so sounds like general stretching! It’s just worrying ☹️☹️☹️

MamaSJ15 · 04/02/2023 20:59

@candycrush789 hope you're okay, feeling any better? That's got be scary though, I do get a little feeling of period like pain but it kind of just comes and goes quickly.

candycrush789 · 04/02/2023 21:27

@MamaSJ15 its been here all day. Apperently it’s stretching but who knows. It could be down to the whole box of cherry tomatoes I ate the other night 🤦🏻‍♀️ I went to the toilet sorry tmi and it was still there it’s not unbearable it’s mild but enough for it to bother me x

RandomCatGenerator · 04/02/2023 22:39

16+2 and I had a private scan today to check all was ok and to find out gender. I had a horrible feeling everything wasn’t ok.

Saw the heartbeat and a healthy, lovely baby boy!! Anterior placenta which may be why I felt no kicks or movement yet.

I feel light as a feather, I hadn’t realised how worried I was. My baby is fine!

Congrats random! Another baby boy!

candy I’m 18+2 and still getting random period like pains every now and then.. I am starting to feel more movements now so know baby is ok.

Rutennotou · 04/02/2023 23:26

@RandomCatGenerator Comgratulations! How many boys is that in the group now? They've taken over 😂

I have my 20 week wvan coming up on Friday. A bit nervous but looking good forward to seeing her again (and also going to ask their opinion on the sex for confirmation 🤣). Feeling a lot of movement this evening and it's getting stronger. I'm 18+5 today.

Such a beautiful picture! Xx

Rutennotou · 05/02/2023 10:20

@rach971 Congratulations, welcome to team girl!

I've been on antibiotics for almost a week for a UTI and today it's back with a vengeance. Guess I need stronger antibiotics 🫠

septembersapphire7 · 05/02/2023 11:02

@rach971 i love her hand on your scan pic! Beautiful scan pic ☺️

dunkedbiscuit · 05/02/2023 11:35

Congratulations @rach971 and yay for a girl!

dunkedbiscuit · 05/02/2023 11:39

@bubble55 how are you doing today? I had something similar with my back a few weeks after my son was born, they told me all our joints are more elastic during pregnancy (can’t remember the scientific term for this) but much easier to get back issues. I had to get an emergency physio appointment as was in agony, it was something like £60? Then saw a GP physio a couple of weeks later. I really feel for you, it was just horrid, hoping the right exercises, pain meds and rest have you feeling better x

bubble55 · 05/02/2023 11:43

@dunkedbiscuit thank you - I was really feeling sorry for myself last night! I had to sleep sat up but managed to have a decent rest. Today it’s bad but better with movement. I’ve ordered a support belt and going to ring GP tomorrow though I imagine any physio is a long waiting list! My manager is going to see if I can get anything from occupational health, I am NHS staff so here’s hoping. Pregnancy is the most amazing thing but man it’s a rough ride! I can’t believe I spent the morning in the maternity assessment worrying I was ill when really it’s just sciatica 🙈🙈

Thank you for all of the congratulations :) I’m just so delighted he’s ok.

Back to the drawing board for names though! We had decided on Cecilia for a girl - doesn’t have a male equivalent (Caecilius?! Who est in horto?!) and our boys list feels a bit uninspiring…

@bubble55 my referral took no time at all. I emailed on a Monday and my physio appointment was Friday the next week! Although I will say left me in tears (hormones are fun hey 😂) because all she really did was give me a list of things to spend money on, a pillow, belt, yoga ball, new duvet & a cushion for my work chair. Oh and a membership to a swimming pool! I've seen a chiropractor the last couple of weeks and that's definitely helping but I'd bloody hope so at £49 a pop 🤦🏼‍♀️

clouise30 · 05/02/2023 13:23

@bubble55 completely forgot to mention the reason for my reply 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️! They fast track pregnancy referrals because obviously very time sensitive 😂!

Anon2021x · 05/02/2023 13:29

@rach971 thats such a cool scan pic, congrats on your little girl.

Hope you're all okay!

Pregnancy is a wild ride, @bubble55 dont feel bad for going to get checked, it's better to than sit their anxious/worried and not sure of what it might be.

Re the period pain feeling I also get this every so often and that real heaviness feeling. I do think it's down to things moving around in there (quite literally).

I can't wait for 14th for my gender scan!🥰 X

MamaSJ15 · 05/02/2023 16:12

@rach971 aww such a lovely scan photo! And congratulations!
We had our scan today and we're having a boy! 💙

rach971 · 05/02/2023 17:27

Thanks everyone! 😁♥️♥️

AnxiousAnnie94 · 05/02/2023 20:14

Hi everyone :)
First pregnancy here, due 4th July.
Got our 20 week scan on the 17th February when we are hoping to be able to find out the sex ♥️

I am a little bit worried that I haven't felt anything that I think are movements yet and I will be 19 weeks on Tuesday 🤔 the midwife said I might not feel anything just yet, but I've seen lots of people say they feel it earlier.
Also, I sometimes get dull period type aches that come and go too, not any sharp pains or anything that takes my breath away, just like aching that I would get before coming on my period.

I think I'm just anxious about things with it being my first, and sure I will have more things to worry about it the coming weeks / months too.

Hope you're all well ♥️

Rutennotou · 05/02/2023 21:53

@MamaSJ15 Congrats!!

@AnxiousAnnie94 I had an anterior placenta in my last pregnancy and didn't feel anything until after 20 weeks - do you know where yours is positioned? I think up to 24 weeks even with a posterior placenta is quite normal to not feel movement until x

Can't shift this UTI at all and feeling awful tonight so gonna ring the midwife tomorrow, the antibiotics didn't work.
